47 Unexpected Visit from Canis Majora

It's been over a week with us staying with the Dionysus Family, Aster and I did chores around the house so as to not be a leecher towards the Family.

Sam apologised to me albeit reluctantly, while his brother and sister watched, behind a wall, I saw their ears giving them away, I just didn't react that I saw them.

It was probably Aden who forced his older brother to apologise to me, they did argue a lot, before Sam apologised.

Now, I am here with the said man, buying vegetables and necessities for their house. We are now standing at a vegetable store, buying the items we need.

"I didn't know that you already had a mate, Samuel"

"What?" Sam and I said in sync at what the vegetable vendor said.

"No, No, she isn't my mate"

"A human as well, a pure human, what a rare mate you have their"

"Old man, she isn't my mate," Sam says with annoyance in his voice.

"No need to be shy Samuel, everyone knows that you're a late bloomer, along with your brother Aden" Sam facepalmed at the old vegetable vendor, I just gave an awkward laugh.

"I remember when pure humans are still around, fragile little things, it's rare to see humans nowadays, the only human capital that I know of is at the Moon Kingdom the capital Selene," the old man continues "but I don't see any raven-haired humans nowadays as well, you have a beauty right there"

"Okay, that's enough," Sam says a tint of pink on his cheeks "just give us what we are asking for"

"Hahaha, alright, alright."

Sam snatches the paper bag containing the vegetables and hurriedly walks away.

"Take care of Sam, young lady"

"Oh, uh, sure"

The old man smiles at me and nods, before I caught up to Sam, he had a frown on his face as well as a dark aura around him, he was in a bad mood, maybe because of what the old man said?

"Sam?" I called out.

"What?" He answers with a tone of irritation.

"Don't let what the old man get to you"

"It's not getting to me," he replies before walking faster.

"What's gotten into him?"

I shook my head and followed behind him, that reminds me, what does late bloomer mean in wolve language? I don't get it.

We arrived back at their cottage house, but Aden, Aster and Ishana were waiting for us in front of the house, Sam stopped in front of me making me bump into him.

"Ouch!" I said holding my nose "why are you stopping so suddenly?" I asked annoyed.

"What are you guys doing in front of the house?" He asked.

"Well…" Aden started "someone is looking for you, Princess"

"Me?"

"Yes," Aster nods, she had a look of concern.

"You guys are making me nervous"

"Come with us, Princess," Ishana says.

The three of them went around the house, Sam told me to follow them while he gets the groceries inside the house, then he will follow, I handed him the items then went to where the three went.

They stood at the entrance of the forest, my nerves kicked in, and my palms became sweaty.

"What's going on?" I asked.

Fries flew out of the forest, making small mews, the three of them nodded and beckoned me to the forest.

"I'm getting scared, can you just say what's going on?" I ask, getting annoyed.

"P-Please don't g-get mad, just f-follow us for a b-bit"

"..." My eyebrows furrowed, "nothing dangerous is going to come out, right?"

"No, your highness"

"...Alright" I reluctantly agreed.

The three-plus Fries went into the Forest while I followed them, we went deeper until we arrived at a huge tree.

"Are we gathering mushrooms or something?"

-I see that you are well, Prophecy Holder

"...Who said that?" I asked looking around.

-Above you

I looked up and a giant wolf was on a thick tree branch, it stood up and jumped down going towards us, I stepped back alarmed at what was happening.

-Be calm, I am the one that asked them to summon you, Prophecy Holder. I gestured for Leo's son and the Crowned Princess of the Star immediately understood.

Am I the only one hearing this? Aden, Aster and Ishana had a blank look on their face.

"Greetings to the Holy Beast of Terra, Canis Majora" the three bowed at the giant wolf.

"Holy Beast?" I said baffled, that means it's like that giant lion, I encountered when I fought the Behemoth monster.

-Yes, I am the Holy Beast of Terra, I watch over this land, as well as one of your holy beasts, prophecy holder.

"There's more than one?" I said "Wait there is...I think I remember Phoebe explaining to me that there's five Holy Beast in total for each Kingdom and Queendom's in the Empire."

-I see that the child did not fail to deliver the message that we have asked of her.

"Why are you appearing before me?" I questioned.

-Silly child

The giant wolf chuckled, I felt a little stupid at my question since the thing laughed at me.

-Did you not listen to Phoebe's explanation more clearly?

"Ahahaha…" I gave an awkward laugh.

-I will make it clear then, you will be trained by us, personally, to hone your powers.

"Really…?"

-Yes

"Um...when do we start?"

-Tomorrow

"Okay…?"

-Meet me in this place early in the morning, the child of Leo will wake you up.

The wolf's eyes look at the three who are still kneeling.

-The Crowned Princess of the Star Queendom.

"Aster?"

Aster looked up at the giant wolve, she doesn't hear the wolf like I do right?

-Remember that the only one we communicate with, is you, Prophecy Holder.

"Okay...sorry"

-In any case, bring Aster with you tomorrow as well, I will need her assistance.

"Aster, the wolf said that you're going to be its assistant tomorrow."

-Wear suitable clothes tomorrow, both of you, do not wear a dress such as what you are wearing right now.

I cheered in my mind, now I have a reason to wear pants or a dress shirt, as well as boots. I'm thankful that Aden and Sam went to such lengths to buy Aster and my clothes but pants or shorts are still the best.

-Prepare yourself Prophecy Holder, for the training will be agility, stamina and strength, as well as a bit of the prophecy power.

"Alright"

-I shall now take my leave.

I nod and with a gust of wind, the giant wolve vanished.

Did the wolf teleport?

"You can all stand up now," I told the three.

They stood up from their kneeling position, and looked at me, Aden looked as if he was lost in thought.

"I've never seen the Holy Beast of Terra before, I feel so blessed," Ishana says blushing.

"So you really are the holder of the prophecy"

"Well…" Aster gave a look of concern at Aden "I didn't want to hide it, but um…" I didn't know what words to tell Aden.

"It's fine if you didn't tell us, but it's already known that you returned, not just that, but we also caught wind at what happened at the Sun Empire back then, but we didn't know exactly if the two missing princesses are both of you, now I've really confirmed. Since the information, us commoners have is just, simple things like, an Armaclei has returned and is crowned princess...we do not know who it is."

"So it is just limited information you have"

"Yes, and the prophecy has also returned, but we do not know which Armaclei it is," Aden says.

"So you guys don't even know what I look like, right?"

"No, Princess"

"The only ones that know what I look like are the nobles that attended the coronation," I said in thought.

"Where is Sam, by the way?" Aden asks

"He said he was going to follow"

"I'm here" he comes from behind the tree.

"You didn't greet the Holy Beast?" Aden asks.

"The Holy Beast already left, when I arrived"

"You heard our conversation just now?"

"About Princess Seraphine being the holder of the prophecy? Yes."

"Sam…" Aden gave a look of concern.

"I honestly don't care at this point Aden, if she saves this Empire or not, I already lost hope for the prophecy, if that's all the commotion, I'm going back to the house."

Sam leaves, I gave a curious look at Sam, Aden just looked awkward.

"Don't mind what he said" Ishana says "brother lost hope since he also believed that you will return to fix things eventually, Princess" she explains "what matters is, you are here now"

"Y-Yeah…" I replied.

"Let's go back to the house" Aden beckoned.

Not everyone is ecstatic about the prophecy anymore huh? Even if Uncle announced its return, this is just depressing, hopefully, I could do something about it…and the training with Canis Majora helps.
