"We are nearing the Capital, princess"

The doctor announced, but I was too preoccupied with my thoughts to bother responding to him, my thoughts wandered to last night's event where someone sneaked into the room I'm staying albeit so suddenly.

It wasn't sudden, I think I have a stalker.

But I doubt it would be one of the Knights, Elinna told me that they were drinking booze last night and I don't think they would make an effort to creep me out.

"Would you like to look around the Capital once we get there, your highness?"

"...Yeah, sure"

"I haven't seen the capital yet, so I'm excited"

"Uh, huh"

"Have you ever visited? your highness?"

Elinna continued to talk while, I'm still lost in my thoughts, but then the carriage stopped to my surprise, I peered slightly at the half-opened window of the carriage to see what was happening, the two captains were at the front of the carriage with their horses.

"Nevermind" I was already tired of explaining, so I just shrugged at her, she tilted her head looking at me with wonder.

It's hard being convinced that you aren't ugly, it's not being humble or anything, a lot of people said that I am, and they also said that I'm 'lacking something' that's why I gave up on myself.

I stop fixing my hair, applying make-up, because what's the point in making yourself pretty when you aren't appreciated for the effort you made, maybe I'm saying this because of the trauma of always being told that I'm ugly.

"We have passed the border to the capital, in the next hour we will be arriving in the capital"

The doctor looked at Elinna asking her if something was wrong with Seraphine, Elinna shook her head telling him that she's fine, but she's in a daze earlier on already.

Doctor Edgar and Elinna both nodded in agreement before they diverted their attention elsewhere.

'This is the only time again, that I'm prepping myself, but if this; being transported into another world, never happened then I wouldn't care'

"We have arrived at the capital"

Commander Raulyn interrupted my train of thought, Elinna urged me to look outside in which I did, my eyes widened at what I saw.

"Whoa, this place isn't as secluded as those towns we've been through"

The Capital is really like a City, with huge buildings, not tall but more on wide, since the structure of the past is more on a wider angle than tall, there's a carriage passing by or people riding horses,

The mode of transportation in the past is well-depicted in this world, not just that but people are in Victorian dresses.

The men are all wearing suits or dressed shirts with a vest or just plain dress shirts,

I can also see some that had those long-sleeved thin shirts.

"From my perspective, the clothes in this world are...too formal"

"Formality is a must in this world, your highness"

"I lean towards more comfortable clothing than presentation or fashion"

"If you would like your highness, I can make you clothes that are more suited to your tastes"

"Please!" I groaned, she giggles at my demeanour.

"Would you like to look around the city? your highness?"

Doctor Edgar offered

"Is that okay? I'd love too, but I don't want to inconvenience the Knights"

"Yes, it would be no problem at all" Commander Raulyn interjects

"It's still early, being fashionably late won't be a problem"

"Thank you, I accept the offer"

We stopped by the inn first, before the two commanders could escort me around, although when I exited the carriage everyone had eyes on me, they looked somewhat intrigued.

"It is the royal carriage, your highness, that is why they are curious about, who is riding a royal carriage early in the morning"

"Um, I don't look weird or anything right?" I ask conscious of my appearance.

"You look lovely"

"I didn't need exaggerated words, just an 'okay', 'yes' or 'fine' would've been enough of an answer for me," I told commander Raulyn and Alfonso

"You look fine your highness, nothing to worry about"

"Hahaha...thanks Elinna"

"I thought girls like being complimented like that"

"I think you should save it for your wives," I said to the two who looked lost in thought "those kinds of words aren't effective on me, it just annoys me"

"We will take note of that" Commander Alfonso says

"By the way, you said that black-haired people aren't common in this world, right doctor?"

"Yes, I did"

"Your brother, in the eyes of others is seeing him as someone unique being a vampire with black-hair"

Commander Raulyn points at the road, now that I am noticing, people are looking at me in amazement, I don't have all the escorts with me, just the two commanders, Edgar then Elinna, but then thinking about it, I think my entourage is still too much?

"May we go to that clothing shop?"

"I'm not in the mood to look at dresses, knock yourself out, I'll just wait here"

"The terms" I facepalmed "what I mean to say is, go ahead, enjoy yourself while I wait for you here" her mouth shaped into an 'o' I nod as approval while she nods understanding what I meant before finally entering the dress shop.

Elinna got cut off by the women who had heavy make-up, she got thrown out of the dress shop, onlookers looked at the scene the women made, she yelled at Elinna, topping it off with insults,

"Why do you ask?"

I smirked.

I went towards the woman, she glanced

at me, but then she stopped when she noticed the gentleman with me, her demeanour immediately change in an instant

"What brings you a noble guest to my famous dress shop?"

"Oh, this is famous?"

"Yes it is" she nods "I am madam Karina of the Pink Icing Dress Shop, at your service"

"Is there something going on, madam?" I said my tone of voice full of sarcasm

"This peasant came in, causing a ruckus inside, I was so scared my lady"

"My knights didn't hear anything, I didn't hear anything" I looked at the doctor "did you hear anything doctor?"

"No, except for the owners screaming to get the girl out of the dress shop"

"Exactly"

"B-But she did make a ruckus, I would not act like this if she did nothing"

"Lying through your teeth won't get you anywhere madam Karina"

Her name is ironic. I think I'm discovering the first 'Karen' in this world.

"How dare you! I am not lying-"

The moment she said that Commander Raulyn Fort and Alfonso Collins drew their swords, eyes glowing a threatening aura emanating their body, the woman named Karina gulped.
