45 Royal Headache
3rd Person POV;
(Back at the Sun Palace)
-Sun Palace: Noble Council Room-
Three days after the attack, and before Seraphine woke up. The noble families have gathered as well as the royals of each and every Kingdom and Queendom, the Crowned Prince of the Moon Kingdom also arrived, everyone in the Empire, wore black for the mourning of the Emperor.
But as expected the nobles have become restless without anyone sitting on the throne. They are fighting amongst themselves who is appropriate to sit on the throne and become Emperor.
Some of the nobles suggested Lucianus take the throne, while some suggested that someone else should take it, since Lucianus is already a crowned prince in the Moon Kingdom.
The Royals looked annoyed at the chatter of the nobles, the one that calmed the chatter of the nobles is Duke Aether, he raised a hand taking everyone's attention.
"Everyone is in distress, of the passing of his Majesty" he started "but do you not know shame, in the presence of royalty?" He told them.
The room became quiet, the nobles' heads, hanging low, Duke Aether looked at the Queen's and the King, he nodded.
"Thank you, Duke Aether" Queen Maegara says "The Empire is on high alert at what happened three days ago, the eldest daughter of Queen Aelisia is missing along with the holder of the Prophecy, and the newly Crowned Princess, Seraphine" she reported.
Lucianus, clenched his fist at the mention of his missing sister, he is also distraught at what happened in the Sun Empire.
"We did not anticipate the enemies attack"
Queen Maegara lied to the nobles, one reason is, the royals do not trust the nobles since some of them are in cahoots of the enemy empire, and they are hiding evidence too well for them to get exposed.
The Ones that DID get exposed, are hunted down by Lucianus along with the Earls and Viscounts, that is still ongoing. But due to Lucianus being hurt, he is temporarily recuperating and unavailable for the hunt for the heads of these nobles.
"Luckily, my Knights along with the Knights of Queen Aelisia as well as King Kristopherson fend them off, but we are afraid that this is still not the end of it."
"If the coronation of the Newly Crowned Princess did not happen, and we are not here to join forces, then the worst might have happened to the Capital" Queen Aelisia added, "Although it already did, and we lost a benevolent Emperor, nevertheless, we should not lose ourselves by these losses"
"Queen Aelisia, I beg your pardon, and all of us are grateful for the joined hands of the allied Monarchs, keeping the Empire still standing, but without an Emperor leading this Empire, we are doomed"
The chatter of the nobles became louder again, their faces full of concern and worry.
"Be calm" King Kristopherson chided, "We already have someone to take the throne"
"Who?"
"Will it be the Crowned Prince of the Moon Kingdom?"
"Duke Aether is also suitable to become, Emperor"
"It is not the Crowned Prince of the Moon Kingdom, nor Duke Aether" Kristopherson says "we cannot disclose the information, on who it is, you will know when the person finally arrives."
"What makes you think that, we will just go along with your plans?"
"..." Kristopherson looked at the noble who said that with a blank face.
"For all we know, royals of the neighbouring Kingdom and Queendoms are eyeing the throne as well!"
"How dare you say that!" Lucianus finally spoke glaring at the man with the intensity of the sun, "this Royals you are speaking off, made a vow of Peace to each other, led by my Uncle!" Lucianus said in rage, "by their words and the mural of integrity, above the throne room, they would not break it"
"Lucianus" Duke Aether called out.
Lucianus heaved in a breath, but continued to speak, towards the ill-mannered noble.
"You cannot point a sword to a person's throat when they are willingly helping you."
"..."
Silence engulfed the Council Room, Duke Aether nodded at the words of Lucianus in agreement, The Queen's smiled at the crowned prince, and the King of the Sky Kingdom smirked proudly at him.
'Well said brother-in-law...although you still do not know that your sister and I are engaged for the reason that his majesty said to me'

"Kristopherson, I already told Queen Maegara and Queen Aelisia to keep quiet about your engagement, to Seraphine from Lucianus"
"What would the reason be?"
"Lucianus is overprotective of his sister, as the royal doctor of the Sun Empire reported, he will be in opposition of your engagement, and he will go to such lengths as to disobey my order just for her sister to stay with her."
"Hahaha...I see"
"It may have caught your mirth, but I am just afraid that he will go into war with the Sky Kingdom if he ever finds out…"
"Alright"

"Ha…" King Kristopherson gave a small sigh, looking at his brother-in-law that Lucianus doesn't know about.
"For the time being, I will be staying in the Sun Empire, as well as the other Queen's and King to supervise what is happening here, their monarchs will be temporarily managed by their husbands the Duke's and the Chancellors, but we must not be at ease for the enemy Empire is now making its move to conquer the Sun Empire." Crowned Prince Lucianus says.
"We made an Alliance to protect the Sun Empire if any other Empire attacks once again, and we will honour that alliance that we have made, rest assured that not one of us will take the throne," Queen Aelisia says.
'No greedy nobles shall take it as well' she added in her mind.
"This is what we wanted to report to you, so that the nobles in this Empire, know what is happening." Queen Maegara added.
"As the Chancellor of this Empire, I am grateful for the help of the Queen of the Terra and Star Queendom, as well as the King of the Sky Kingdom, not to mention the Moon Kingdom as well." Chancellor Galanis says
"With this, the meeting is adjourned," King Kristopherson said.
The nobles discussed amongst themselves, while the royals were left inside the Council Room.
"The nobles are a mess, I hope they still do their job correctly while we are supervising them," Queen Maegara says.
"I will make sure of it" Chancellor Galanis chided in.
"We all know that you are suffering the most of the loss of his majesty Chancellor Galanis, you have watched his majesty when he is still a prince, until he ascended the throne, and he is the first one to go."
"Yes…" Galanis nods "but, it is not just me, Theodoros as well as her highness, Princess Phoebe is also suffering, I am not the only one who is sorrowful for the loss of the Emperor, you are also mourning for him."
"But you've been with him longer than we did."
"Yes, well" he sniffs, "please excuse me, I have unfinished documents to assemble."
Galanis quickly exited the Council Room, the royals understood the rush of the Chancellor of the late King.
"He's going to cry again"
"It seems like it"
King Kristopherson pointed out and Queen Aelisia nodded in agreement.
"How are you holding up, Crowned Prince Lucianus?" King Kristopherson asks
"I'm shocked, and angry at that enemy empire, but what my frustration and annoyance are directed too, is my sister being missing."
The Queen's and Kristopherson glanced at each other, they confirmed that Lucianus really is an overprotective brother.
"We have already dispatched Knights to look for her, please be calm"
"How about Princess Phoebe?" Queen Aelisia says worried "she has woken up, has she not?"
"Duke Aether and I visited her earlier, she cried herself to sleep, Doctor Edgar and Elinna, my sister's lady-in-waiting, are taking care of her" Lucianus facepalmed "the death of the Emperor is too much for her."
"I just hope that she will recover soon...her health is failing, if I am correctly remembering?" Queen Aelisia asked.
"The poison is no longer in her body, and she is recovering, her health is no longer in danger, but her emotions is a raging storm, the Duke and I will stay here so that Princess Phoebe has company, other than the royal doctor and the lady-in-waiting"
"You do that, Crowned Prince"
"We will also take care that the nobles won't spread useless gossip inside the Palace" Duke Aether added.
"Chancellor Gaius is the one that is managing the Moon Kingdom?" Queen Maegara asked.
"Yes," Duke Aether and Lucianus said in unison.
"We have a lot of work to do…" Queen Maegara says.
"Let's just hope that Aeilus comes soon, we cannot keep the nobles at bay, for even they have inner turmoil, not just on us but amongst themselves as well."
"What's the report on the people that infiltrated the Palace?" King Kristopherson asked Queen Maegara and Aelisia.
"All of them have been beheaded, their corpses have already been burned." Queen Maegara told him.
"The Monsters?" King Kristopherson asked.
"They have been eradicated by the Knights." Queen Aelisia says.
"Now we wait for the Crowned Prince to take his Father's throne"
