The next day, like what Canis Majora said, Fries woke me up by slapping my face with its paw, but I didn't wake up with just a slap on my face, I am a heavy sleeper after all, Fries licked and nibbled on my face that made my eyes open widely at the sudden unpleasant feeling, I woke up screaming, waking up everyone else in the process.

I apologised for what I did since I never had a pet before, I never took care of one nor watched over one. Pets are cute, but I'm mentally not prepared to have a pet, it's also an equivalent of taking care of a child since they have wants and needs to.

Gabriel suggested that I have one, but I turned his offer down since it's too much work. I am thankful that Fries doesn't eat, since I have no means to feed it meat every day, if it goes hungry, I'm going to be its next meal. Good thing that's not the case here.

In any case, since I woke everyone up, they did chores early, I felt awkward around them, since I'm at fault, for waking them up, I bathed together with Aster and wore dress shirts and pants, that Ishana and her adjusted again.

I tied my hair in a ponytail, so that it won't get in the way, when we were ready we headed towards the forest, Fries leading the way.

"I wonder why Canis wanted you to come and assist, I'm really curious"

"Me too, we will f-find out, s-soon" I nod at Aster.

When we arrived the giant wolf was already waiting for us.

"Good Morning"

"Greetings, to the Holy Beast Canis Majora" Aster greeted, she bowed.

-Rise, child

"It says rise, Aster" She rises from her bowing position with a smile.

-Tell the Princess of Stars if I am correct about; her having the psychic power of, illusion and hypnosis.

"It's asking if you have psychic powers of illusion and hypnosis"

"Yes," she replied.

-Very Good.

"So what are we going to do?"

-Tell the child to stand where I am standing.

"Um okay?" I look at Aster "it says stand where it's standing Aster '' she nods and goes towards the giant wolf, she is now under the belly of the wolf.

The wolf steps away from her and then howls, the ground below her suddenly glowed, a magic circle appeared slowly turning around like a clock.

-Do you hear me now, Princess of the Star?

Aster gasps, looking at the giant wolf, she then slowly nods.

-Our connection will only be temporary, since I need your assistance.

"U-Understood, Holy Beast C-Canis, it is a-an honour"

-Alright, are you prepared?

It asks me, I'll be lying if I said I was, but let's do this!

Aster's eyes glowed. She held out her hand, and a strong gust of wind blew, I closed my eyes so that my eyes are safe from the sudden dust. When I opened it was very foggy, and I couldn't see Aster or the giant wolf.

-Very good, Star Princess, your powers are well honed.

"T-Thank you"

I heard a growl behind me and I immediately dashed away from where I was standing.

"Is this Stamina training?"

Canis did not answer me, instead it howled, rocks suddenly floated and shot towards me, I dodged roll to the side, so that I won't get hit.

Holy Shit!

It howled again, and then silence, the only thing I hear is the ringing in my ears and my heavy breathing.

And then three huge rocks appeared from above the left and right heading towards me, I remember the Behemoth with these rocks.

That's when I felt the adrenaline, as well as my chest heating up, the only thing my mind said while I was looking at these flying rocks was.

STOP.

The rocks stopped halfway towards me then it fell on the ground, several similar rocks headed towards me while I did the same thing and thought of one word.

Thankfully I was not crushed, and in addition, my powers activated, I am engulfed in blue flame once again.

After the rocks, Canis Majora lunged forward, of course I ran while it was trying to bite my torso off, I was already running out of breath and slowing down, I'm really out of shape, but I can't help it since I have anemia and I tire out quickly.

-Do not make your condition become a restriction on yourself!

My eyes widened at what the giant wolf said, I felt something on my back, and I was sent flying forward, did it just use the bridge of its nose to send me flying?!

What do I do?

If this keeps up, and I hit a tree I'm doomed!

That's when I thought, levitation, but how? I don't know how! Just…Just…

"LEVITATE GODDAMMIT"

I was slowing down, I didn't even notice that I closed my eyes on instinct, when I opened it, I was…

"I'm flying?"

-That is called levitation, you are not flying since you do not have wings.

The wolve said looking up at me, I don't know how high up I am, but I'm half the height of this pine tree-

I cut my thoughts off, when I faintly saw a shadow going towards tree to tree I immediately levitated away from the shadow, but it's gaining speed.

Why can't I enjoy this levitation thing for once? I cried out in my thoughts, why does it have to activate on this training thing?

I levitated away from the trees and into open grounds, I was at the center, but the shadow never went away, something fast was headed towards me, I went higher to evade the sharp fangs of the giant wolve, it missed by just three seconds.

Canis huffed, and went down to the ground landing on its feet, must be secretly a cat too…

It howled again and rocks shot towards me, dammit! I'm vulnerable here, I can't dodge that rain of rocks.

What do I do now?

My body suddenly moved on its own, when I couldn't think of something for me to escape unscathe, my hand went forward and the flame on my body traveled towards my arm and forward in front of me, it created a circular blue shield large enough to cover my body.

The rocks that struck the shield became ash, it didn't bounce off or pass through the blue flame, the shield looks transparent, so I expected it to pass through.

When the rain of rocks finally died down the blue flame traveled again onto my body, I looked at myself in amazement and wonder.

-Hm

Canis Majora hummed, it then sat itself looking up at me, is it over? Why is it not doing anything?

-Come down

"..." I looked hesitant.

-Our trial training is over

"...What?"

-This is only a trial, it is not yet the first day of our true training.

"..." I can't believe this

-It seems that you are still semi-controlled by the power of the prophecy

"Is that a bad thing…?"

I shrug at the giant wolf, it shakes its head and stands up.

-But I guess the recklessness has been passed down to you, so you are not entirely to be blamed.

I levitated down, and walked beside the giant wolve, we went back to Aster who was patiently waiting for us.

"W-Welcome B-Back!"

"Thanks for waiting Aster, I hope you weren't bored waiting for us"

"Oh no!" She shakes her head "n-not at all, Holy B-Beast Canis, m-made it so that I can w-watch the t-trial training, T-The H-Holy Beast used mind's eye o-on me in order f-for me t-to see the t-training"

"That's good…" You probably saw me look like an idiot.

-Why don't you ask the Star Princess what she thought of the trial training?

So she doesn't read my thoughts, only the wolve...that's convenient.

"Hahaha…" I gave an awkward laugh at her.

"I d-didn't mean to sound i-insulting! I'm s-sorry!"

"Not it's fine, it's the truth after all"

The fog slowly faded away, it was the normal scenery again.

"Okay...thanks Canis"

After it said that it disappeared with the wind, I went towards the giant tree and sat down leaning on it, the forest had a cool and pleasant vibe to it.

"A-Aren't we going b-back?"

"Give me five minutes Aster, the adrenaline, my legs as well hurt a little, from all the running"

"O-Oh"

"Sorry, you can go ahead if you want"

"It's f-fine"

She went towards me and sat next to me, she looked pleased for some reason, Fries went onto my lap and curled up, sleeping, drowsiness also hit me, and I yawned covering my mouth.

"Y-You c-can rest, Princess"

I slowly close my eyes whilst Aster says those words.
