6 Immurement

Yuu walked Itsuki back to her apartment as they left the police academy. Itsuki carried a bag full of paperwork from their investigation. It was a large workload for such a short job.

"Hey, Itsuki?" Yuu asked.

"Yeah, what's up? Is something bothering you?"

"I wouldn't say anything's bothering me, but I wonder..." Yuu stopped by a vending machine. "You'd say that you and Shinegori are good friends, right?"

"Of course, ever since I was a kid he's always been by me. It'd be hard to call him anything else really," Itsuki answered stopping a bit ahead of Yuu. She sat down on a small bench nearby and hung her bag by the armrests. Yuu put a coin in the machine and started looking through a selection of different types of coffee and tea.

"I don't mean to tread on sensitive ground, but what would you do if it came out that a person as important to you as Ken was a criminal, would you be able to step in? I've always wondered how anyone would have the will-power to do something like that."

"I can't say it hasn't crossed my mind before," Itsuki responded playing with a hair tie. "To be honest, the thought has plagued my mind more than once. Why do you ask?"

"I'm just wondering, that's all. Last night's investigation made me curious as to how I would respond to being in your position. I don't think I would be fit to make the call."

"Well, I would do the right thing and report that person. It's for their own good that they learn from their mistakes you know." Itsuki stopped fiddling with the hair tie. "Stopping someone from falling into a dangerous lifestyle is vital to that person's well-being and needs to be done as soon as possible. Once a person has a person has fallen deep into bad habits, there's not much else someone like me could do to help them. At that point, they're on their own."

"That's kind of harsh, don't you think?" Yuu asked scratching his head nervously as he sat on the bench.

"I guess so. Although, it reminds me of that one Sherlock Holmes story. I think it was 'The Blue Carbuncle,' where a man had tried to steal a precious jewel by hiding it in a goose he bought. It was the man's first crime, and Holmes stopped him from a life of crime by catching him early on in his career of crime, I guess you could say." Itsuki made quotation marks in the air as she said career.

"Oh, I remember reading that for middle school. But, didn't they let the guy get away? So that he wouldn't be influenced by prison life?"

"You know what, you're right. I think I misremembered it."

"With that context, it kind of counteracts your whole point," Yuu said laughing.

"I guess, but I still stand by what I said. I don't know what I would do if Ken became a criminal," Itsuki said. She wasn't lying, she really wasn't sure how she would handle the new Ken. Thinking about it, Ken could have meant anything when he said "anything like it." Itsuki may have just been making false assumptions. But, she still had a strong feeling he didn't mean anything good. She knew Ken, and he would have told her what he meant had it been anything else. Either way, Itsuki knew full well she had no say in the matter. She would just have to let life take its natural course. Ken would eventually figure things out, she hoped.

At the same time in the Neo-Tokyo Industrial Ward.

"Now, watch." Georgia fell from the rails to the ballroom below. As she descended, she took and threw 5 kunai knives from her jacket. They were the kind that had a ring-like end which made them prime for throwing, and Georgia was a natural at it. Every knife hit its target, all embedding in a fatal area of each guard along the second-level guard-rail. Her hand-eye coordination was remarkable, Ken thought, even while falling she hit every beat with remarkable accuracy.

Georgia was truly a sight to behold. Her show wasn't over though. As Georgia neared the ground, she reached and grabbed a handle from each of her boots, the kind you'd pull to start a lawn mower. She pulled them back when she was right upon the guard in the middle of the room. She let go and an explosive burst knocked the guard out and sent her flying backwards. She hit the ground landing safely on her feet, no harm done to herself at all. However, as she landed her final blow, the sound of the explosion alerted the guards protecting the main hallway.

"There's been a security breach in the floral ballroom!" One of them said. " Just one from the looks of it, currently engaging." The guards aimed their guns at Georgia and started firing. Most of the bullets missed, but one grazed the bridge of her nose.

"Ouch," Georgia said to her self as she ran to the guard she knocked out. She picked him up and used him as a human shield.

"Don't shoot! He's still alive!" One of the guards said, but not before Georgia got close enough to throw the guard on him, knocking the guard out.

"Holy crap," Ryu said looking down at Georgia fighting. "She really has gotten stronger. To think I'm supposed to be the fighter here."

Georgia quickly knocked the more muscular guard's gun out and threw it away. "There," she said. "Now It's an even fight." The guard put his hands up and smirked as he put on bronze knuckles and a khami resembling a samurai mask covered his face. Like the rest of the guards, he wore a black suit and red tie, which matched his black and red helmet.

"You think you can just beat me, the legendary Master Hankatoba!" The man leered at her and Georgia could feel his aura of intensity. "I don't need to use a gun to kill someone like you," he said winding his arm backward. Georgia saw an opening as the guard sent a heavy throw her way. She dodged to the other side, and while he was facing away from her, she dropkicked him. "Heh," the man snickered, not even budging as Georgia fell to the floor. "You're strength and speed are nothing to me!" He spun around and kicked her hard in the stomach sending her tumbling across the room. The guard laughed menacingly and started charging at her leaving for no time to breath.

As Hankatoba neared Georgia, she somersaulted to the side. However, he quickly spun around hitting her with an uppercut to the jaw. Georgia felt a crack as the bronze knuckles hammered into her mouth and blood started dripping off her chin. The force sent her backward this time landing on her back as she coughed blood.

"Damn," Georgia cursed. "I can't take him on my own. He'll kill me!" She said on the coms as she struggled to her feet.

"Ken, you need to get down there right now!" Ryu yelled at him. "She needs help!"

Ken thought about going for the ladder, like they had planned. That way they could all fight at once, but he wasn't sure how much longer Georgia could last on her own against such a strong khami user. He decided that it would be smartest to distract the guard and hope that Georgia would be able to get away to safety. Ken brought out his khami which ripped out of his chest, and just like Georgia, he jumped. He fell quick. When the guard was finally close enough, Ken brought his wings back. As he arched his them back forward and sent a burst of purple fire engulfing the guard's back. But, as the flames dissipated, his figure remained. He wasn't affected at all and he revealed a part of his khami that had been hidden under his suit. A set of samurai armor.
