44. Birthday and Death Anniversary?

Was it stolen? An illusion? Lili didn't know what to say or how to feel. She was utterly speechless as she looked around in search of her car.

Maybe she had packed it at another spot. Maybe. Because she didn't hope her day would get any worse than it already was!

"What's taking you long?"

Lili gasped. was it a sigh of relief? Maybe she felt it was because she too was uncertain of why she had made it.

She stood there looking at SiChen who had that hypocritical smile on her face. It was now another fact that pissed her off!

"Why are you standing there and Just looking, come over here!" He snapped.

Just like an obedient fool, she had no choice but to approach him. She took a quick glimpse at the car he was leaning on just to confirm.

"Why....are you here?" She asked. It was the best form of conversation-starting she could think of at the moment.

"....." Lili was lost for words.

"I can see you went to the cemetery and took your punishment. I'm partly here to commend you on your obedience. keep it up and you might get a bonus"

"...." Lili had nothing to say!

"So... how's your dream job going? Are you loving it?" He asked.

Looking at his smirk, Lili couldn't help but get annoyed. But she had to cover up a smile of hers.

When no one was coming into the car, Chen looked out the window. "Hey what's taking you so long? Get in and drive me home!"

Lili said nothing but to get into the driver's seat.

"I heard from my little blabby driver that my funeral is tomorrow... Which was strange because I'm still alive. Well, I guess I'll have to head home and ask questions" He said leaning back against the seat with his eyes closed.

Lili didn't bother saying anything. She simply started the engine and made her way into the busy road, heading home.

Minutes of driving brought The car packed before the Luxurious Li mansion.

Chen was the first to get out of the car as he stretched himself out. After that, he took his time to look around the place.
