70 Who are you?

The next day Zara called Jake and Veronica who reached an hour early. This time though Zara and Veronica let him sit while they made coffee and cookies. 

He had taught them basic cooking and Zara kept herself busy rather than watching the clock nervously. She only hoped that Ryan would show up. She had taken his bait and hadn't called him. Zara busied herself trying to help Veronica, who was not much of a great cook either. She and Veronica tried to recall the steps of baking cookies though they failed at some. 

When neither of them couldn't recall the exact recipe, they both pulled up some videos on the internet and began repeating what the lady in the video was doing. They messed up once or twice but after an hour, had put the dough in the cups that went in the oven and left it to bake.

All the while Zara kept glancing at the wall clock nervously.
