Reggie didn't even as much as turn his gaze towards his friends. But, they followed him out nonetheless, their faces masked with anger. Zara somehow knew that they would want to come back again another day just to spite her. Zara only kept looking at their retreating figures as they got in their swanky vehicle and drove off.

She then moved to Jason and asked him with a concern in her voice, "Are you okay?" 

She handed him a bottle and Jason took in mouthfuls of water. He wiped his face with the back of his hand and added, "But, I have to say, you were very brave to stand up to them."

Zara shrugged, straightening his clothes and ruffling his hair affectionately, "Bullies get strong only when we don't stand up to them."
