124 What if?

The car was divided into two halves; the first was where two girls spoke feverishly while the other half maintained an eerie silence. Zara felt uncomfortable about the silence. She had wanted to small talk but she couldn't think of anything to speak about. Yet, she tried to open her mouth, and at the exact same time, Ryan's phone vibrated. 

He flicked it open and read a text from Rebecca 

Missing you, come back soon. 

He smiled on reading the small text and put his cell down on the hand rest near the clutch while continuing to drive. Zara's eyes fell on his phone's screen and she read the message before he locked the phone and squirmed in her seat. 

So this is where he had been all the time.
