64 To love or not to love

Ryan's voice had an edge of desperation, "Ok, please listen to me very, very carefully. You are not going to mention the dream or the church or any of it to anyone. Promise me."

He opened his palm in front of her and Zara was tempted to give in easily, "But, why are you making me promise something about a dream? What is so special about it?"

"Promise me, Zara" Ryan whisper-yelled.

Zara was not going to listen to him, not with all the secretive air he held, yes he had saved her from a monster but that didn't entitle him to own her life.

She tried to keep her voice even, "I am thankful for saving me and I am sorry for losing my composure around you. Somebody definitely mixed something in my drink." She thought of Doug's comment of throwing herself at Ryan, "It..it was a dare."

Ryan quirked his eyebrow, "What was the dare?"
