His sentence made her look at his face. He had bruises on his face and a black eye. It looked like he had been in some kind of fight. 

Did he know about the true identities of Ryan and Alice? Did he know of Jake as well?

Questions swam through her head. She was curious to know how much he knew about them. Hence, she grudgingly took his hand. Reggie helped her up and even got her backpack and headphones that had been lying on the ground.

Her elbow had been scratched due to the hot asphalt and so was her chin as a drop of blood trickled down her face. Reggie offered her his kerchief and pointed at her chin, "You need a doctor."

Zara shook her head and went to his car to check herself in the mirror. Her chin did look scraped and it hurt to move her elbow.
