114 Memory lapse

Jake cast a blank look towards Zara and his eyes flitted towards Ryan. Jake wanted to know what was going on, and he was perplexed at how Zara was suddenly near him when an hour ago she didn't even want to look in his direction.

Now, it was his Zara, who knew him and talked to him like a close one, like he was a special person in her life. She looked at him with friendly and hopeful eyes, talking to him normally as if they were in the cafeteria. He was afraid to read his mind. Ryan signaled him to take it easy and Jake turned his attention back to Zara.

He was still bewildered, they had just seen a pair of demons attack Rebecca and then somehow flee. They had been still in shock over the unnatural behavior when Zara too was back on her feet again. Well, it was a good thing to see her up and running again though the circumstances seemed a little out of place.
