60 Look me in the eye

Jake finally asked Zara out for prom after being pestered by Veronica. His eyes lit up when she had agreed to go to prom with him. She hadn't realized that she was capable of giving happiness to anyone.

He had saved on his pocket money to buy a decent tux for him. On the evening of prom night, he got ready and drove to Zara's house. He also had a bouquet of red roses that he planned to give her when they were alone. He was finally going to propose to her.

Veronica arrived early and helped Zara get dressed. She was going to prom with Rick, whom Jake had helped her secure a date with. She was determined to give him back by making Zara look as stunning as possible.

She put on light make-up on Zara's face, combed, and tied her hair in a loose bun, instructing Zara to keep her eyes closed the entire time. When she was done, she ordered, "Open your eyes now."
