61 Look me in the eye-2

Zara forgot the dance, forgot the pain in her feet, and forgot everything else. She screamed and called Ryan's name, but her voice got drowned in the loud music.

She ran across the hall while her friends were busy with drinks. Every nerve in her body sprang alive as she raced outside and saw a boy walking away.

"Ryan," she screamed as her feet slipped in the mud and the rubble. She stumbled more than once but continued to run while her heart soared and threatened to leap out of her mouth. She was barely managing to dance in those high heels but running was a different feat.

Zara threw away her sandals and ran bare feet; not minding the gravel and stones that cut and sliced at her soft skin. 

"Ryan, Ryan…wait!" she exclaimed. 

Ryan's back stiffened at the mention of his name, the only indication that he had messed up real bad. He increased his pace and began walking away faster.
