85 Long time, no see

Zara was shocked to see Ryan's sudden interest in her life. It wasn't as if she shared everything with him. In fact, he had barely bothered knowing her at all, despite spending a major chunk of their time together for practice. 

Zara shrugged "A few weeks, maybe." His hand was still lightly grazing her skin and the effect was dizzying her. She pried her hand out of his grip but then he caught at it again. 

He whispered "Why?" his question was straight and on the point. Why did she feel the need to work at such a dingy restaurant?

His face had an earnest look and she could see genuine concern in his eyes. "I need to save enough for further studies."

Ryan looked around and saw that a few customers were looking at them both. They had a puzzled look on their faces. Ryan lightly brushed through their minds and could hear just one thought ringing through each of them. 

How do they know each other? Is he using her? Is he harassing her?
