96 Hi again

Zara shushed her friend, grabbing her by the hands, and pulled her down. She spoke to her in hushed tones "Idiot, I think Ryan modified mom's memory to make her forget the incident yesterday. I think that is why she is acting so cool."

Veronica's lips formed a small O as realization hit her "Oh, that is why she wasn't asking all kinds of awkward questions."

"Precisely" Zara answered with an air of triumph and relief. Now, she had one less thing to worry about. 

Veronica sat down on the bed with a plop, and rubbed her eyes "I am so drowsy and I didn't even get the complete details yet."

Zara had been feeling very asleep before reaching her home but now she was wide awake. She also realized she could go to work instead of sitting at home nervously and biting her nails off in anticipation.
