106 Getting rid of the nuisance

Alice stood leaning on the wall "Are you done with your makeup? I must say you look truly mesmerizing." She had a wide grin on her face as if she was a cat that enjoyed playing with a mouse, making it run around and watch it in amusement before delivering the deathly blow.

The demon ground its teeth, clearly frustrated, that its cover had been blown up. The demon felt that it had been just about to finish Zara but Alice had ruined its plan. Annoyed, it pounced on Alice but she merely twirled to the side as if she was dancing. The demon fell flat on its face and Alice let out a big laugh. Her laugh made it angrier and it sneered. 

The monster couldn't speak but understood every word she spoke. Its nostrils flared and the demon huffed and puffed, hissing loudly trying to scare her. To any other human, it would have been terrifying but to Alice, it looked no more than a chicken trying to make itself look like a lion.
