66 Frenemies

Veronica looked at her friend with uncertainty. She took a minute to comprehend what was going on in front of her. Zara looked flushed and Jake was murderously angry. 

She saw Jake screaming at the top of his voice, a thing neither she nor Zara could have imagined even in their wildest dreams. Jake had been anything but furious, until now.

Veronica quickly took Zara by the shoulders and the two of them tried to pry Jake away from Ryan.

Jake was shouting at the top of his voice, "How dare you touch her like that? I will kill you."

Veronica and Zara struggled to keep him away from Ryan who didn't utter a single word. 

Zara looked at him teary eyed. She fumbled to find the right words "Jake, listen to me. Ryan was trying to protect me. Please believe me Jake"

Jake was having none of it, "Oh, don't be so easily fooled Z. You don't know any of his tricks, Z. He discards girls like trash.
