157 Can you forget me?

He could have sent them in the washer but he didn't want to walk around in the clothes that held the memory of the demon child dying in his arms while he had been helplessly watching the little child's body fade away into nothingness.

No, he didn't want to live with that. Dumping the clothes into the trashbin, he walked towards the bathroom. Turning on the shower to make it scalding hot, he stepped inside.

The temperature would have burned and scarred the skin of an ordinary mortal but Ryan felt it soothing. The hot water seemed to cleanse the memory from his skin and mind.
