179 A secret

She had just seen him with Rebecca maybe an hour ago and decided to stay away from him.

Yet now as he neared her and asked her with concern and the way his hands had gone around her protectively, she shivered.

"Z...please tell me"

Zara studied the ground as if it held some giant answer to the universe's greatest mysteries. With one hand, he gently pulled her chin up and made her look into his eyes.

"Z…"

She looked in those blue eyes and forgot what she was going to say. His face was disheveled and he had bags under his eyes. 

If she would look closely she also saw that the face had tiny scratches and scars. She wondered if he had been in some demon fight again. She reached for his face meaning to touch it. She had a feeling that he would back away, that he wouldn't let her but she was surprised that he didn't.

If her eyes weren't deceiving her he had even slightly bent forward. "Why are you always in fights?"
