2 Chapter 2

Enkidu looked at his multipurpose I.D as it showed his basic information.

[Enkidu]

[Age: 16]

Enkidu smiled as he observed his situation as a he looked around his apartment. Enkidu decided that his first approach would be to figure out what world he was in. He took a walk around the place as he admired the city.

He took a turn as he saw a coffee shop, "Anteiku" While Enkidu was not allowed to use combat skills that did not prevent him from using non-combat skill such as transfiguration and perfect body. He walked into the alleyway as he shifted his plain tunic into a t shirt and jacket with loose blue pants. He walked back out as he searched his wallet for the multipurpose I.D. It changed into a debit card as he walked in the cafe.

He thought to himself "Anteiku, where have I heard that before in my past life?" He found a spot at the counter and sat down.

The old man Yoshimura looked at the man? woman? who sat down. He walked up as he asked "Excuse me, what should I address you as?"

Enkidu looked as the man seemed to be confused about how to address him. A common mistake, normally he had no gender but after he lived his second life he seemed to act more like a male.

"Oh I'm a boy sir."

The old man was surprised but nevertheless asked him for his order Enkidu smiled and just asked for some coffee. He paid as he sat back down and thought "Anteiku, Anteiku, old man, good coffee? His second life memories started sifting through until it struck him. Tokyo Ghoul?"

Enkidu nodded as he had identified the world now he just had to know what to do? "The man said happy ending, does that mean manipulating certain events to make the story a happier one?"

Enkidu's first life had always focused on efficiency the most so now that his order was vague he was confused. His personality and memories were meshed but that still didn't help in this situation. Enkidu simply decided to do what he could make out of the old man's advice.

Enkidu made his decision, he would involve himself in the situation only if needed. Unfortunately Enkidu did not know that moment would be soon.

Enkidu watched as Kaneki was lead by the smell of blood and flesh. His presence detection could see that Touka was present and was watching Kaneki and Nishio. Enkidu still waited as he watched on waiting for a time to interfere. He watched as Touka attacked and drove of Nishio before trying to force Kaneki to eat.

Enkidu decided that this was not right as he stepped into view. Touka looked as Enkidu stared at Kaneki. Touka was shocked, she had not expected for Enkidu to find them.

Enkidu smiled and spoke "Don't worry, I won't tell but you shouldn't force him to eat if he doesn't want to you know." Enkidu wondered what Gilgamesh would do if someone forced him to do something. He would probably feed the man to his pet lion.

Enkidu simply walked off while Touka immediately tried to stop him. Enkidu easily dodged her even though Nishio got pounded by her. Touka was shocked that he dodged, he couldn't be a ghoul right? As if reading her mind Enkidu smiled "I'm not a ghoul nor am I human." Touka glared at him as he smiled calmly "What are you?"

"I'm clay."

All tension disappeared Touka had a look that spoke volumes of expression. "You're kidding right?" Enkidu shook his head "No, I'm divine clay shaped by the gods."

Enkidu simply stated the truth as this would be the fastest way to become infatuated with them. In turn this would make sure that he would at least have some information on the events happening. Touka narrowed her eyes as she motioned to follow.

They entered the cafe as the old man looked at Enkidu. "So you are divine clay?" Enkidu nodded as sipped on some more coffee. The old man took it in as he first introduced himself "I'm Yoshimura and you are?" Enkidu simply replied "Enkidu." The man's eyes narrowed as he asked "You mean Enkidu from the Epic of Gilgamesh?" Enkidu nodded again. The man sighed as he told Enkidu "You know I find this hard to take in unless I have direct proof." Enkidu sighed as this would signal the start of his job.

Everyone present in the cafe widened their eyes as golden portals appeared behind Enkidu as chains with blade attached to the end appeared from each portal. "My name is Enkidu the chain that binds the gods."

Everyone in the cafe took some time to process this as Enkidu retracted the chains back and the portals disappeared. The old man simply sighed as he was shown undeniable proof, and the fact that ghouls didn't make it seem strange at all.

"So what is your goal?" Enkidu nodded as seemed to be trying to find the optimal answer "You could say that I'm supposed to watch over this place for a bit." The old man nodded as Enkidu left the cafe, the bell jingled signalling his absence.

Enkidu smiled as he left "Yep I think I've done it right!" little did he know that he had only left the whole cafe scratching their heads on trying to make sense of the situation.

That night Enkidu went to sleep peacefully while the whole cafe lacked sleep from scratching their heads.
