1 Chapter 1:

Everyone knows fairy tales, they are read to us as children. Every fairy tale has a happy ending, or at least our versions do. This isn't an ordinary fairy tale, there is no 'happy ending', only lies and stories that make us believe there is.

There were two twins, Luisa, a fair skinned with medium length of braided ginger hair, and Aden, a bit muscular and a bit tanner than his sister with messy brown hair, both 14 years old, who lived in the woods with their parents. Their house was overgrown with trees and underbrush, with no contact from the outside world. One morning, the two teens decided to go into the woods, forgetting to tell their parents. They left with only a bag filled with 2 loaves of bread and a jug of water.

While walking around, Aden spotted 3 buildings that looked similar to their own home. They heard footsteps and hid in nearby shrubs. They had a clear view of the 3 houses so they could see who was coming. Lusia and Aden were both shocked at who it was, it was their parents, but with two children who looked just like them. Luisa wanted to run to her mom and ask what was happening, but she knew better. After their parents left, the two went on to find the trail of heavy stones to follow their parents.

They followed the trail until they came across another cabin. This time, it was colored blue. Again, there were 3 cabins. The twins were confused at these cabins they kept coming across. They once again hid in the bushes and waited to see what was going on. After relentless waiting, a man came out to greet their parents and their 2 copycats. They both raged with anger and frustration as their parents gave the copycats gentle hugs and kisses, when all they got was endless abuse, chores, and little to no proper clothing. When they looked closer, Aden burst into a silent sob, seeing the copycats had name tags. One was a girl and the other, a boy. The girl's name was Luisa and the boy's Aden, exactly the same as the twins' names, Luisa and Aden. They both looked at each other in shock and sadness. They never felt so betrayed in their life, for their parents had replaced them without a care. With Adens face streaming with tears, Luisa helped him up, and the two went back to spying on their replacements. The old mission meant nothing to Luisa anymore, she was filled with a new goal. Find out what was going on. When the coast was clear, they both hid on the side of the first cabin. They looked around and saw no one. As they hid behind the tree they counted to three to calm the pounding of their hearts in their chests. Three . . . , the cabin was still and quiet. Two . . . , they heard footsteps, but continued to count, ready to run if needed.

One, "Who's there?" said a voice so deep, it gave them chills.

In the clearing, they could see an old man, but with a strange looking face, and an icy smile, yet something about this man bothered them. As they looked closer, the man had no distinguishing figures, but had a photograph of a family. A family, they thought. Luisa shook her head, and after the man had walked away, she went back to the intention of the mission. The twins snuck around the back to see a pile of something. Luisa and Aden both smelled something horrible, it smelled like something died and was left to rot in the sun for days. Luisa scrunched up her nose, and covered her face, trying to block out the smell. When Aden gagged at the foul stench, Luisa put a hand on his shoulder, and they both started looking around.

They slowly crept up to the corpses, seeing a person nestled against the rotting bodies . Aden poked at it a few times to see if they were dead, or just asleep. Luisa pulled the body out of the rotten flesh, and onto the bloody ground. The person seemed to be a girl and there was a little hook on her shirt. Just when they were about to take it off to look closer at it, the girl jolted awake and scrambled back to the pile of rotten flesh, seeming afraid. They slowly approached the girl, cautious, for the girl kept moving backward until she was back in the pile. Gently, they helped her to her feet, and Aden thought about how they could explain their presence to the girl. Luisa felt the pain, only it wasn't theirs, it was the girl's pain. The girl's pain was filled with sadness and loneliness. She tried to stifle her cries, but couldn't, letting herself cry in peace while both twins hugged her.

As she looked up, Luisa said, "We will get out of here, okay? But first you need to tell us what's wrong."

The girl then had hope in her eyes and said in a small and faint voice, "Mm-my brother . . . Can you help me find him?"

Luisa nodded, both of them started looking through the piles as the girl dug at something. Both Aden and Luisa had already asked why she was digging there, but the girl just shrugged and kept digging frantically as they continued to look for the missing brother. They only stopped for a break after the girl passed out from exhaustion. Aden found a nearby river and collected water to give the little girl. She drank and drank until she was cold as ice. The girl wanted to keep digging, but Luisa stopped her, knowing that extreme heat will lead to trouble and they need to keep their eyes open for they were not safe and didn't have food or supplies. Once in a while, they would have someone stand guard when they heard someone talking. They built a shelter near the river so it will be easy to gather supplies needed. Together they managed to find food to eat to stay alive during the day and continued to build and guard during the night.

After about a day or two, on a rainy day, the girl said, "We need to go find my brother."

The three of them went back to search for the brother, spraying water to make it easier to move the flesh. After several hours, they finally found him in a deep coma. The sister hugged him in joy, happy to know that her brother was still alive. They carried him back to their secret camp and looked for something to snap him out of his coma. Their only option left was to cabins. Luisa and Aden offered to go while the little girl would stay with her unconscious brother.

A few days ago, they heard trucks and weird voices coming from the cabin. Aden went to check it out secretly and found some people moving out furniture from the cabin. All the furniture was covered in animal skins.

"That's where all the rotten flesh came from," they all thought when Aden told them what he saw.

They waited until the people left and nothing was left behind except for this box in front of the cabin. They waited a bit before heading toward the box. The box mysteriously had bits of rust on it, yet it was made of wood. They tried to open the box but it was nailed shut and needed a crowbar to be opened, but couldn't see one anywhere so they brought the box back to camp to try and break it with rocks. They tried to lift the box, but it was very heavy. They had to use the rotten flesh to make a rope and tie it around the box and dragged it back to their camp. Luisa covered their tracks with dirt so no one can follow them back to camp. When they'd finally made it back, the boy was awake and his sister was asleep.

"So much for guarding." Aden said under his breath.

Luisa punched his arm saying, "Shut up. At least he woke up."

The boy looked at them with worried looks, then he got up and said in a calm voice, "I don't appreciate my welcoming back to Earth, but it's better than death. Now, where are we?"

They both said in a scary unison, "We don't know."

The three of them started laughing startling the girl awake yawning.

"What's so funny? Was I drooling?!?! Oh no!"she exclaimed, wiping her mouth continuously, thinking there was drool.

Then all four of them started laughing and after they were done, Luisa and Aden explained what they saw behind the cabins.

"No offense, but who are you and what are your names? How old are you? Why are you out here? Where did you come from? How did you get here? How did you end up in the rotten flesh? When did you get here?" Luisa asked with a worried look on her face.

"You must never repeat this information to anyone for this is top secret information. My name is Thomas, but you can call me Tom. This is Anastasia, but you can call her Ana." The boy Tom replied as if it were a well known fact.

"That's my choice!" Ana said so suddenly that Luisa and Aden jumped then in a hushed voice said, "Sorry, you can call my Ana for short. We are top secret spies for SSS." Luisa looked confused, and Ana noticed, continuing, "SSS stands for the Secret School for Spies. You two would make great spies for our team. Anyway, we are both 12-years old. Also, we are NOT brother and sister, we're partners. I only said this because I didn't trust you both at first, no offense. After all, it's a person against the world without help."

"We are still in training but we are on a higher level than the other students in the school so we were chosen to do this mission. Our mission is to find out what is going on here and put an end to it.`` Tom says seriously.

Ana, on the other hand, says cheerfully, "We got a little stuck during our teleportation ride here and landed in a pile of rotten flesh. Our communication was malfunctioning so there was no way to tell the school. Thank you so much for getting us out. We would have died there. We came here a few days ago, just before you two came along and found us. Anyway, that crate you found, it is supplied from the SSS. We trust you now because only trustworthy people can see the items from SSS. This is why we are taking you back with us to the SSS to train with us and become spies. However, we have no way of getting back right now. Have any ideas?"

"That is a great opportunity, but I need to find out what's going on too. We need to stay. Can you help us before you have to leave? For ideas, we can see what the SSS gave us inside that strange thing." replies Aden.

When they looked inside the box, they found extraordinary items. Even stranger, four of every item were in the box. They found hunting gear, food, water canteens, water filters (how convenient ), and lots of other supplies such as clean black clothes. Also inside were tents and sleeping bags to use as well. They made a routine of what their life would be for the next few weeks. Aden and Tom would go out to hunt while Luisa and Ana prepared food. They had to be careful with the fire so they wouldn't show where their location was. Few weeks passed and no sign of help or trouble was seen. Luisa and Aden have little hope that they will make it out alive or ever see their parents again.
