85 Visiting Hillbridge

Trevon sat in his wagon watching the scene changing. A beautiful blue lake with dancing water panorama turned into a green fertile land with waving grass panorama.

His Destiny Path was unlike other cultivation technique, so he didn't need to cultivate every single time. While his bodyguards, relatives, and family guards were using the time to cultivate. With Destiny Path, Trevon only needed to point his hand into some fruits or tables. It was far faster and easier than absorbing spiritual energy from the world. That suited the young master.

He looked into his current Destiny Mission.

[Lv 10 Mission: Force a random person to kneel to you.]

[Lv 20 Mission: Learn another flashy martial art.]

[Lv 0 Mission: Force a merchant to give you a Durian.]

[Sigh...] Trevon saw his strange missions. The trolling fruit missions still haunted him. [I will do these missions later in the Capital.]

Out of those three, Trevon thought the kneel mission had potential, but he was too embarrassed to use it. Therefore, he left the mission for a later time.

[My job missions are...] He used Job Quest Mode Using skill. [Sigh... What is this skill name?]

[Lv 20 Mission: Scout 500.000 Demon Beasts.]

[Lv 5 Mission: Weakness Scan 20.000 Humans.]

[Lv 5 Mission: Recruit a Nonhuman Cultivator with talent at least 25.]

"Hey! The skill name is good. This Rabbink likes that." Master Rabbink didn't like Trevon complained about the skill name. The Rabbink had intentionally made them long to increase its word counts. [Gwahahaha.]

Trevon found it was hard to do his mission when he traveled. Every day he only saw his bodyguards and empty fields.

It had been already six days journey for the caravan. Until then, they didn't find any big problems with their travel. The family flags on the caravan head, made nearby bandit groups avoid them. They gave some face to the McArthur family. Those bandits wouldn't risk a Great Family sent several Rank 3 warriors to exterminate them.

Trevon felt bored. He had made some paintings of Aya and the ladies from Eternal Night.

[Should I paint Nana? No. She is still a mouse.] He looked into the troublemeter.

The troublemeter had given him some headaches these six days. He had three big troubles so far. The first one was a big storm which delayed the caravan for one day. The second one was a huge tree fell into the street which delayed the caravan again. The third one was some demon beasts migrated in front of the caravan route. All those delayed his dream to visit his fiancée soon.

[This item must want to delay me.] Trevon smacked the troublemeter into the table. He wished the item would be destroyed and disappear from his life.

[F*ck! No... No... No...] He accidentally smashed the button with the table. The think light was disappeared from the troublemeter. [Stupid Trevon!] Trevon hated himself.

"STOP!!!"

The caravan suddenly stopped.

[Sigh... It must be the troublemeter doing.] Trevon looked outside.

"We will camp here for thirty minutes to one hour. There is an imperial checkpoint outside." A guard rode a Fire Alogo from the front caravan to the rear while shouting the information. He informed the reason for the caravan to stop. It was a common thing to inform the rear to prevent panic in the group.

[Checkpoint? Gr... This troublemeter really wants to delay me.] Trevon angrily gazed to the innocent stick. However, from his windows, he saw many wagons parked on the side of the street.

[There must be something big happened.] His gossiping nature appeared.

Trevon came outside from his wagon. Some imperial soldiers came to check the caravan. The checkpoint was a big one so they had enough guards to check every wagon. He could see many wagons stopped around and waited for their turns. They McArthur family had some advantages from other caravans.

"Excuse me, Sir! We are looking for someone." An Imperial soldier in a battle robe told Trevon.

Their battle robe was unlike Trevon full body armor. Those soldiers wore a simple gray robe with a steel armor protected their chest area and a long pike as their weapons. A big phoenix insignia was on the front side of the steel armor. This indicated their status as a member of Heavenly Phoenix's army. They also had a heavier set which they would use during the war. The movement from light armors was more important for daily operations than the protection from heavy armors.

"This is the procedure, we have to check your wagon, Sir. I am sorry for this inconvenience." Another imperial soldier politely asked to check Trevon's wagon. He could see from the wagon quality and the leader flag that this was a McArthur family member.

While McArthur and the Imperial Families had some differences. The Imperial Families had to give some faces to the most powerful family on the continent. McArthur family mightn't have a Rank 4 warrior on the surface, but nobody knew the deepest secrets. The family rumored to have a support from a peak power in the central continents.

There had been some countries who tried to pressure McArthur family during the history. Yet, it ended with those countries disappeared from the continent. A rumor said that the hidden Rank 4 warriors of the McArthur family destroyed those countries. Another rumor said that a central continent peak power would eliminate those who offended McArthur family.

"Please!" Trevon allowed the soldiers to enter his wagon. The less problem that he caused, the more time he could play in the city. He only had himself and his bodyguards in the wagon.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Trevon looked to Jonathan to give a small pouch of copper coins to all soldiers.

"Ah… Thank you, Young Master!" Those soldiers weren't cultivators. It was a huge money for them.

"There was a mysterious disappearance in Hillbridge yesterday. An ancient small family, which had stayed in the city for fifty thousand years suddenly disappeared." A soldier told the news. It wasn't a secret and anyone who visited a winehouse could hear the rumor from other patrons.

Trevon also knew about this, but this money was to prevent 'unnecessary' troubles during the checking. A brother in the brotherhood taught him this. With money, everyone could become a friend.

"Yes, Young Master. It is a strange incident. All family members, including all the employees in their residences, disappeared in one night. We heard a rumor that the family offended a powerful warrior." Another soldier told the news.

"We are only ordered to check whether the family secretly ran away." The first soldiers said.

"Ah! Thank you for your hard work." Trevon only responded with a smile.

The soldiers pretended to check Trevon's wagon. They would not make trouble to a young master like Trevon.

"All clear, Young Master." The soldiers told Trevon what he already expected.

[Special Mission Unlocked.]

[Lv 20 Mission: Save the young masters from Downbridge Family from the mysterious attacker!]

[Mission Reward: 100.000.000 Destiny Energy and 100 Fame Point in Hillbridge region.]

[Mission Decryption: Cultivation Family helped each other to make a connection. Those young masters from Downbridge Family are in danger. As the best young master in the world, you should help them from the Children of Gods. Do not worry the opponents won't be stronger than a Peak Rank 1 Warrior!]

[Mission Rejected.]

It was fast. Trevon didn't need to think. [I am not a hero like those main characters in the novels who would help the poor and steal from the rich. I am the hero who would snatch from the poor and also from the rich. Hahaha.]

"What? You are heartless." Master Rabbink said. "You don't even see the reward first. It is one hundred thousand worth spirit stones with instant absorption and you get Fame! Fame is very important for a young master later. You have to start collecting them."

[Who is crazy enough to accept such missions? Look! The imperial families had these many soldiers, but they couldn't find the culprit. I am only a single fighter who prefers to meet my fiancée soon. Rather than finding a needle in the ocean, I want to meet and her and practice the dual cultivation technique together earlier. Hwehwehwe.] Trevon smiled while imagining things.

Master Rabbink couldn't deny that. "You will meet them with your destiny. What if I add another one hundred million Destiny Energies?"

[Nope.] Trevon preferred to point at a table. [It is safer and more fun to order people around.]

"What if I offer a joining cultivation technique?"

[Nope.] Trevon had one already. [I haven't practiced that one yet.]

"An extra harem member?"

[Deal!] That was an instant. Trevon had some Rank 3 Grand Elders in the caravan with the enemy at Peak Rank 1 warrior, he could trade some artifacts for some small requests.

"..."

[What? Where is the mission?]

"Nope. I don't want to give you that. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink only wanted to test Trevon's desire. There was also another reason. [Gwahahaha.] The Rabbink smirked evilly.

After they waited for one hour, the caravan continued their journey to Hillbridge. It was 20:00 when they arrived near Hillbridge. A few delays caused them to arrive later in the city than their schedule.

"Woah!" Trevon could see the city exterior from a distance. He rarely went outside Bluestar so everything seemed new for him.

His family always monitored him in Redwood made him couldn't leave the city. Trevon only went a few times to the Redwood Forest using his portal to increase his plant and normal animal collections. However, a Rank 2 demon beast stayed around the wailing lake, reducing his plundering in the forest.

Hillbridge looked majestic during the night from far away. It had a different feel than Bluestar, which was near a lake and Redwood which was near the forest. The city was built on top of a few mountains and spread as long as eyes could see.

Hillbridge City was a display of human heritage. Humans managed to turn a few mountains into a huge barricade to protect themselves from the outside danger. This was the effort of several generations building the mountain fortress.

Since the city was on top of a mountain range, Trevon could see the night-light from the distance. He had read the city was only about five hundred square km of land, but it had over thirty million people. It was more crowded than Redwood.

Based on the 'Extravagant Young Master Travel Book' which Trevon had purchased from a traveling merchant, the mountain city had a different character than Redwood and Bluestar.

Because Hillbridge didn't have a flat land near the city, they had to purchase foods from traveling merchants and nearby villages. The farming villages located a day away from the city made the living cost higher.

Trevon had passed many small villages, but the caravan only stopped for a while at those villages. Some merchants conducted their transactions while the caravan's crews used the time to rest.

In return, Hillbridge had a big spirit stone mine inside the mountain. The city also had a good spiritual energy not less than Bluestar. It was stated in the book that a sect controlled the city. Of course, McArthur family had several members as the key Grand Elders of the sect. They became a branch of the family in the sect separated from the branch in the city.

Trevon enjoyed the night view for thirty minutes before the group arrived in the city. Its walls were thirty-meter-tall, which were covered with some black steels. This showed the city was stronger than Redwood. One could check a city power based on its walls. Higher walls and better materials used to make them meant a stronger city.

The party arrived at the family pavilion. As always, McArthur built it in the prime location in the city. The design was based on Heavenly Phoenix style with multiple pagoda palaces combined into a grand complex.

"We arrived a bit late. So, we will leave at eight o'clock in the morning tomorrow." The Grand Elder spoke with the spiritual sense to each wagon.

[21:00. I am not late.] Trevon looked into the clock in the lobby area. The city was still crowded which made them spent more time to travel in the city.

Of course, Trevon had decided to play. The night was the best time for a young master to experience the city. One part of the guide was talking about the tourist attractions.

"Slurp... I want to visit the best restaurants." Master Rabbink told Trevon.

[Ok, Bye! See you tomorrow!] He waved to the Rabbink.

"..." The Rabbink couldn't speak. "GAH!!! Do you want war? I want you to talk to those restaurants. This Rabbink is a Celestial being." It had its pride as the Creator.

[Gr... Fine.] Trevon didn't want to be in a bad book with this Rabbink. What if it went into Mad Rabbink mode again. Besides, it was Master Rabbink's private research money.

"Jonathan, go to every open restaurant and purchase all their special menus!" Trevon showed the best restaurant on the map. Most top restaurants in the city would open all day. Only a small boutique restaurant with special chef would only open during the day.

"Also pick that restaurant." Master Rabbink told Trevon. It had read some local residents' memory of the best foods in the city. "Check this restaurant too! And this..."

Master Rabbink pointed to many more restaurants that not even in the guide. Trevon followed the Rabbink and pointed to Jonathan.

"Yes, Young Master. Where should I bring those foods?"

"Hm..." Trevon thought. "Order someone to deliver them to my room!" As a young master, he had a guest room in the pavilion.

Trevon gave Jonathan some spirit stones to purchase. It was hard to spend all the Rabbink's research funds since foods were often very cheap.

Jonathan took the money and went into the city to buy Master Rabbink's foods.

Meanwhile, Trevon was protected by Marcus, Noah, Omar, Piero, and Qadr. Aya and Marcus's fiancée waited in the pavilion. While they protected Trevon on the surface, Trevon was stronger than his bodyguards. Marcus only reached Lv 8. Noah was Lv 6. Omar was Lv 8. Piero was Lv 10. While Qadr was Lv 9.

The most powerful in the group was Nana who had reached Lv 25. She was one level higher than Trevon. Nana was also a demon beast, which gave her an advantage in physical power. Her sharp claws and teeth added with her small body made her hard to hit and painful when she counterattacked.

Other than them, Trevon knew that the family would follow him secretly. He was the current golden goose of the family for cheap artifacts. Because of this, he didn't fear to go anywhere.

He walked into his goal while Master Rabbink followed him to documented his adventure. After some time, that Rabbink would disappear and return back next to him.

Trevon knew Master Rabbink teleported to take some foods from Jonathan. Jonathan himself was only Lv 5, the lazy bodyguard was less determined than other bodyguards in cultivation.

"This is it!" Trevon was really looking forward to this place. Many colorful lights welcomed him in the area. The smell of wine and fragrant perfume from the open door decorated the area. Heavenly music invited lonely men and women to visit one of the houses.

He grabbed someone who looked like a merchant near him. It wasn't hard to judge since he wore a golden robe, the color that merchants loved to wear.

"Tell me the best house in this place, Brother!"

"Eh? You must be new, Young Brother." The man gave a brotherhood smile. He smiled with a large open mouth. His eyes grew into a crescent moon while his nose pulsated. This added with the reddish malar region was the big sign of the member of the brotherhood.

While money could make a person become a friend, the same interest of worldly interest would make people a brother. They were the member of brotherhood and sisterhood. Everyone was a brother and sister in this field.

This was why pleasure houses and winehouses were popular with merchants and powerful people. It was the place to make a connection and enjoyed the life in the hard world.

"Yes. I have just come to Hillbridge today, Elder Brother. I hope for brother's guidance." Trevon gave the same brotherhood smile. It was the code in the community. Even the ladies had their sisterhood smile. However, they weren't as crude as the brotherhood.

"That Dancing Night is the best spot. It had the most popular lady in the city. Her name is Isemeine. She could dance and sing. You have to watch her dancing performance. Young Brother will find yourself in the highest heaven when you watch her dance. Hwehwehwe."

"Thank you, Brother." Trevon said.

"It was hard to get a seat, Young Brother. You have to book the place a day before."

"Ah! At least, I must try, Brother." Trevon would try his luck. He could open a portal near the place and visited the city again in the future. [I have to upgrade my Universe Core soon. Hwehwehwe.]

Master Rabbink cried. It had tried to encourage Trevon to build his universe core to get stronger, but Trevon became determined because of this perverted thing.

"Smack... Smack... Smack..." The Rabbink materialized a fake voodoo doll and smacked it.

[What happens, Rabbink? Do you get bad foods? Which restaurant is that?] Trevon also loved to try new foods, but not as crazy as this Rabbink. However, he would like to avoid a restaurant which could make Master Rabbink frustrated. [That place must be dangerous.]

"No. I just realized I need more practice to become a better teacher."

[Good! If you have such determination, Rabbink. You should make things easier for me. Unlock for me cheap Plot Armor in the store. Hahaha.] Trevon was in a good mood. He continued his arrogant walk. A small fan and some bodyguards, he walked freely on the street.

People tried to move from the young master's path. However, a young lady bumped into him.

"Hwehwehwe." He laughed, while the lady felt afraid because of the perverted laugh. She quickly escaped from Trevon.

[He should do the walking straight mission!] Master Rabbink thought.

He walked another distance and a handsome young man bumped into him.

"Smack..." He kicked the man to the side. Trevon had big discrimination, especially toward other handsome men who weren't his brothers. They were potential love rivals.

[This is the place!] Trevon saw a six-floors large pagoda. It was shorter but wider than Eternal House. The same classic Heavenly Phoenix building design was used. Its outer design had the same two big red pillars near the gate and multiple eaves with phoenix sculptures on top of those eaves. A beautifully written 'Dancing Night' was on the signboard above the main door.

"Good Morning, Young Master." Trevon heard a melodious soft voice called him.

A lady in purple robe received Trevon. She knew Trevon was someone big from his style. As an attendant for a top establishment, she had already taught to know which Patron needed VIP services. Trevon's wore expensive robe made from expensive materials. He also brought some bodyguards.

Trevon looked to the lady. She saw toward him with her clear and big eyes. The lady lowered her head after she saw Trevon looked back at her. A thin pink appeared on her smooth jade-like white chin.

"What is the rule of this establishment?" Trevon asked while giving his brightest smile.

Asking for the rule was the custom that everybody in brotherhood and sisterhood knew when one visited a place. You wouldn't want to be kicked from an establishment. More than embarrassment, you might get blacklisted by all establishments in the city.

"Young Master must be a new patron." The lady showed a charming smile on her small pink lip. "Young Master can call me Ivetta. Ivetta could proudly say that our humble house is the most respectable establishments in the Hillbridge. Our ladies only sold our talents here."

Trevon knew that the names given by these ladies were often fake, so he used his Scout ability. [Hahaha. I like this skill.]

[Name: Iurre]

[Age: 17 Years]

[Sex: Female]

[Species: Human]

[Potential: 0/0]

[Talent: Singing, Carving]

[Affiliation: Dance Night Pleasure House]

"Oh! I see. Then what is your talent, Miss Ivetta? I want to see Miss Ivetta's performance." Trevon smiled. [She is very beautiful for a non-cultivator.]

"Ivetta is only an attendant in here. Ivetta still needs to practice before Ivetta could perform on the stage."

"Who will perform on the stage today? Perhaps Miss Ivetta could accompany me to watch the performance."

"It is our star, Big Sister Isemeine. Ivetta also enjoyed my sister performance. Do you want some seats?" Trevon saw a tinge of envy and proud in her eyes when Ivetta talked about the star.

"Could I get a VIP room to watch the show?" Trevon moved his fan to fan himself. Everybody who saw the painting on his fan would know that it was expensive from the exquisiteness.

"Unfortunately, Young Master. Big Sister Isemeine's performance is a highly anticipated one. All VIP rooms had been fully booked. However today is Young Master's lucky day, we still have ten back tables left. Normally, it would sell out three hours prior to the first performance."

[WHAT? No. No. No.] Trevon tried his best to maintain his cool appearance.

"Could Miss Ivetta find someone who would sell his or her box to me? Money is no problem. I will give a bonus to Miss Ivetta if you could find it for me." He spoke a bit softly.

"Ivetta will try. Please wait on the table first, Young Master." The girl was trained. She sold the table first before offering to find the place for Trevon.

[This Isemeine must be really popular.] Trevon thought. As a frequent patron of a pleasure house, he knew it was usually hard to get an empty table this late. Most peak performance would start at 22:00. Normally he wouldn't get a table at this time in Eternal Night.

Ivetta brought Trevon to a table near the wall. It was very far from the stage. Luckily, Trevon could use his spiritual sense if necessary to watch the performance.

[At least, I am lucky to be a cultivator.] Trevon lamented his table. It was rare for him to get such table in Bluestar. He even had a favorite VIP room special for him. However, since he was a new patron he didn't dare to act arrogantly in the room. The young master didn't know the face of important people in the city.

Trevon looked into the interior. [It is slightly worse than Eternal Night.] He judged.

The building had fewer decorations, while the paintings were slightly less detailed than in Eternal Night. He could judge a good painting after he learned for Grand Master Vale.

However, the room was filled with carvings covered with gold plating made the exclusive aura. Soft and expensive demon beast skin rugs covered the floor while spirit woods were used as the furniture. This gave the boost of spiritual energy in the room.

Other than the paintings, he saw the antique and beautiful vases on the sideboard. His table was covered with a golden tablecloth made from soft silk. While a young maid served some complimentary snacks on his table. His bodyguards sat at the same tables since Trevon took an entire table.

Trevon wanted to bite the snack when he stopped because he heard a shout.

"Hey! I want that table!"
