74 The Calm Before The Storm
Trevon enjoyed his sleep and woke earlier. It was 06:00 when he opened his eyes. After some injury time nap, he woke and washed his face.
He practiced '1.000 Holy Flashes' and received the usual daily dose of troublemeter in the morning. The young master took a bath, took Nana, and fed the small rabbinks.
After he finished those, Trevon went to the dining hall for breakfast. Master Rabbink enjoyed another feast. Trevon had to meet with Hendrik today since he still had the last part of the recruitment test.
It was 10:00 when he arrived at the field. Trevon went with his bodyguards to the field.
The test for a guard was simple. It was only some basic physical tests. Participants only needed to prove that they were healthy enough for guarding McArthur's assets and members. Some practice equipment had been already installed in the field. As long as the participants passed the basic minimum number, they would be accepted into the family.
Trevon saw Marcus and the others. They had arrived at this place. Even Qadr was one of them. All would need to do the test except Marcus. He couldn't join as a family guard because he was a descendant of another cultivation family.
Trevon saw some staffs operated the machine. There were running test, jumping test, stamina test, strength test, eyesight test, agility test, and more. Trevon himself had the responsibility to record speed test.
Most participants could easily pass those tests. Those tests were only for common guard recruitment after all. Qadr found some difficulties on some physical tests like strength test since she was a common lady.
After completing these tests, the participants would be accepted by the family. They would receive additional one-week training. During this long training, they would understand the basic requirements to become a family guard.
The selected candidates would be taught how to handle troublesome customers, how to handle a noble, how to handle intruders, how to protect a family member, what to do in a dangerous case, and many more cases. Often, they would need to act the case before the instructor.
Other than the methods to handle the difficult situation, they also would be taught some basic family martial arts. Those basic martial arts didn't require spiritual energy. The reason was that those common guards usually weren't a cultivator.
Trevon's recruits didn't face any problem during the second process. All his recruits managed to pass the test. Even Qadr, a weak girl could pass it. The female guard had different minimum requirements, the family needed some female guard for female only stores.
Trevon paid another 112 spirit stones for the people who passed the test.
After the test, Trevon signed a contract with Marcus, Noah, Omar, and Piero to his private squad. He purchased those contracts while he visited the family pavilion during breakfast. Marcus Isleland couldn't join the family as a common guard. Nevertheless, Trevon promised to give him the same benefits as his family. For now, Marcus and his family could stay at his home.

Trevon went to the gallery restaurant after he completed the test. He started his run since he believed he was very close to level up. The young master was absorbing the destiny energy from his second run when suddenly he felt something changed.

"There is news from Family Leader." The guard presented the pigeon to Alvaro.
Alvaro took the letter. There was a family seal on it. He went to his tent before opening the letter.
"..." Alvaro quickly went outside his tent. [I have to visit Grand Elder Owen and Vivian.]
He went into the meteorite site and found the two Grand Elder.
"What is this Elder Alvaro?" Owen asked.
"There is some information from the Family Leader." Alvaro gave the small paper to Owen.
"..." Owen gave the paper to Vivian.
"We have to move fast." Vivian said.
"Yes. I believe it is the time to use emergency plan." Owen reluctantly looked into the meteorite.
"..." Vivian also looked into the meteorite. "Fine. I agree."
"Good. Elder Alvaro, you led the slow researcher to return first. I and Vivian would stay to do the emergency plan. Ask some staffs to move all blazing talismans here."
They were forced to do the emergency plan to blast the meteorite for the treasure inside. While they could leave the meteorite, it was hard to say who will get the benefit after the wave. Perhaps some people were faster and stole the treasures in it. In the worst case of this plan, McArthur would be able to keep the status quo. "This is crazy. We have some research members in the team." Kleigh didn't believe they could survive the run.
"I will protect the rear. I hope we could buy some time for them. I will ask some warriors to carry the weak."
"Then let's start now." Kleigh knew time was the most valuable. He packed his things to the storage ring.
Alvaro exited the tent. He already saw some miners had been packing their important belongings. Most equipment would be left since they would slow their escape.
"Pack only the important! We have to return to the city!" Alvaro shouted using spiritual energy. The employees already told each other to pack their things.
"I want squad one and two to open the way! Grand Elder Kleigh will lead the team. Squad three and four will help to protect from the wing, bring anyone who is slow with you. Squad five will join me to protect the rear." He issued some orders. Cyde came to his young master.
