45 Selecting A House and A Flashy Martial Art

It was already 17.00 when Trevon and his group returned to Redwood City.

[There is still enough time.] Trevon looked into a big clock near the city gate.

Trevon quickly returned to the demon beast market and cursed the manager. He complained that the demon beast was stronger than a rabbink.

The manager almost wanted to cry. It isn't easy to find a Middle Rank 1 demon beast weaker than a rabbink.

After he felt a bit less stressed, Trevon returned to his family pavilion. He didn't plan to continue scouting because he had spent some scouting time in winehouse and during his walk.

Trevon also wanted to take some time from painting. Since without Grand Master Vale guidance, he felt his drawing progressed slower.

Trevon arrived in front of his family pavilion when a family employee came to him.

"There is a delivery of 1.000 SUPER-SIZE-ME Burgers to the family pavilion for you, Young Master." The staff expression seemed to be in a disbelieve when he said this number.

"Oh! Where is it?" Trevon asked.

"It is in the food storage room." The employee said. He wondered. [Why did this young master order that many burgers? The portion is enough to feed the entire employees.]

"Ok." Trevon nodded. "Is there anything else?" Trevon asked.

"Your boxes had been put outside your room, Young Master."

"Oh. Thanks for that." Trevon decided to check his treasures. [Go get your burger, Rabbink.]

[Gwahahaha. This Rabbink couldn't wait for that.] Master Rabbink disappeared.

Trevon returned to his room. He saw some boxes in the courtyard in front of his room. Kevin and Lance were waiting near them.

"Young Master, we had found a few houses that suit your request." Kevin reported.

"Is the place near here?" Trevon asked.

"Yes, the first place was only 3 streets away from here." Lance answered.

"How many locations had you found?" Trevon asked. They should report him tomorrow, but Trevon wouldn't think badly if it was earlier.

"There are 3 locations that we deemed the best for Young Master." Kevin answered.

"Good! I will clear these boxes first. Had Aya returned?"

"No, Young Master." Lance answered.

"She might still study the lessons from the family. No matter what, she would be Young Master's personal maid. She has to complete some maid lessons." Jerry told Trevon.

"Fine, then." Trevon took one of the boxes to his room. He didn't want his bodyguards to see the box disappeared.

He quickly sold the 'trash' to the Universe Store.

"Are you really selling those trashes?" Master Rabbink felt hurt. "My store is the best store in the universes, not a trash can." Master Rabbink complained. It had just devoured 1.000 SUPER-SIZE-ME burgers.

Trevon saw some information in his vision and in his hearing.

[Lv 1 Master Rabbink Mission: Get a thousand SUPER-SIZE-ME Burger for Master Rabbink.]

[Mission completed.]

[Very Very Basic Inscription Lesson is added to the Universe Store.]

Trevon hadn't checked the Very Very Very Basic Inscription lesson that he had already unlocked before.

[I will learn them later. The inscription profession is a boring one.] Trevon thought. He didn't plan to become an inscription master and money was still hard for him.

Trevon decided to clear his boxes first. He also sold his destroyed Dark Demon Slayer sword.

Trevon used his Core Management Skill and appeared in the core room. He went to the nearby panel and selected the [Status] panel.

[Core Name: Unnamed]

[Core Energy: 188.527.835]

[Core Status: Lv 1 - Mortal Core]

[Universe Population: 22]

[Universe Planet: 1]

He knew he had used the core energy to purchase 'Falling Petal Sword', 'Floating Wind Sword', and Very Very Very Basic Lesson on disguise. He also had sold numerous treasures to store back. However, since the treasures were a very small part he only got little energy in return.

[This was lower than the first time I arrived here.] Trevon thought. He remembered he had about 213 million energies back then. [Purchasing Dark Demon Slayer and selling it back made me some losses.]

[At last, I could get additional money from Redwood family.] Trevon smiled. He had never touched 1.000.000 spirit stones in his life. Even if Redwood paid half the price at 500.000 spirit stones, that was equal to his 40 years allowance. Trevon planned to increase his planet after he got 500.000 spirit stones from Redwood family. That would give him 500.000 meters cubic of the planet.

Trevon felt the money would never be enough. [An apprentice God is a huge expense.] He thought.

"Gwahahaha. The rewards suit it. Everybody dreams to have their own universes." Master Rabbink promoted.

[I will just buy more broken artifacts.] Trevon decided.

He saw he got far higher energy than the money paid. People didn't value broken artifacts as high as the Universe Store. If possible, he wished for the Redwood Family to destroy his sword a few more times.

"Wait! You want to sell more trashes to my store again? Please don't! It is the number 1 store in the entire endless universes." Master Rabbink wanted to punch the annoying apprentice. Its store became Trevon's personal recycle center.

Trevon didn't care about Master Rabbink's plea. He exited the core room using Core Management skill and returned to his room.

He gave some food for Nana and the small rabbinks in his universe. He really wanted to hire some people to do the job for him. However, the Rabbink kept telling him to upgrade his universe Core before he could make some people enter his universe.

After he completed all boxes, Trevon decided to check the home. While he could do it tomorrow, he wanted to solve it as fast as he could.

Besides, he got the money. From the test, Trevon got 50 spirit stones and 4.500 spirit stones from selling 2 swords to Uncle Bowman. He had paid 10 spirit stones for the Boxes from uncle Bowman and got 36.752 in core energy from selling 50 boxes of broken artifacts.

[I need to buy more boxes in the future. While the black market is too risky.] Trevon decided.

He also rented the gallery for 1.200 spirit stones and paid another 5 spirit stones for the repairing the gallery. He also paid 1.000 spirit stones for Nana's foods and purchased 124 spirit stones worth of broken treasures in the black market which netted him 241.991 core energy. Today, he also had given 50 spirit stones to Violet and 10 spirit stone to purchase the weak demon beast.

Those activities left him with 2.151 spirit stones.

[This is enough.] Trevon calculated his spirit stones again. He could do it fast unlike Jerry since there is no herb manager who couldn't use spiritual sense.

"Let's us check the first house! We will try if we can finish the check today. I hope they are not too far away." Trevon ordered Lance and Kevin to lead the way.

"Yes, Young Master."

They went to the first house. It was close to the McArthur family pavilion. Its location was located only 3 streets away. The first house was a small house in Trevon's mind. He always lived in the big family pavilion. Even personal courtyard of his father in Bluestar was far bigger than this house.

"How much the rental fee?" Trevon like how close the house from the family pavilion.

"It is 250 spirit stones per month, Young Master." Kevin answered.

"Ok." Trevon just looked around. He saw the place was a bit dirty. The house had 10 living rooms and a big courtyard that could be used for 20 people training. The price was very cheap because it was located in a blind alley.

"Let's look for the second house." Trevon decided he had looked enough, it was almost night. While the first house was great, the location might hurt his personal prestige.

The second house was located 15 minutes away from his family pavilion. It was also located in a small street since most houses in the big street were already used for stores and big organizations' offices.

The house was even smaller, but it still had 5 living rooms and a big courtyard for 10 people training.

"This is good. The location is easier to access." Trevon commented. "How much is its rental fee?"

"It is 400 spirit stones per month." Lance answered.

[Kill me!] Normally Trevon wouldn't care about that much money. He could ask Jerry to pay using his father money. However, he had used all the money by purchasing some spirit herbs.

Trevon couldn't say what he thought. "Not too expensive. However, I don't like the air in here. Where is the next house?" He took his fan and fanned himself. He didn't want to look stinky in front of his bodyguards.

Trevon knew the price of these small houses would be pricier than the gallery he rented before. This was because his family pavilion was located in the best Redwood office area. The area around would also become more expensive.

Kevin and Lance led Trevon to visit the last house. It was a beautiful house located in a good location. Its location was around 20 minutes away from his family pavilion. The house had 8 living rooms and a big courtyard for 15 people training. Luxury furniture also decorated all its rooms. While the furniture was outdated, the materials and the craftsmanship used were definitely on par with his own room.

"How much its rental fee?" Trevon asked.

"It is only 150 spirit stones per month." Lance answered.

"How could it be?" Trevon wondered. The place was located on a big street. It also had a decent size. He would believe if the rental fee was higher than the second place, yet it was even cheaper than the first house.

"The previous owner was killed in an assassination." Kevin answered.

"So?" Trevon felt it was normal being a cultivator. Life and death were common things to the cultivators.

"The owner before also killed in an assassination." Lance added.

"Don't tell me the owner before the last one you mentioned also killed in an assassination?" Trevon asked. He started to feel bad.

"Young Master is correct. There had been 10 owners directly killed in assassinations." Lance answered again.

"Are there any cultivators in the previous 10 owners?" Trevon asked.

"No. All of them are managers in small organizations." Kevin answered. They had checked the background before suggesting the place to their young master.

"Is there any pattern of the assassination?" Trevon wanted to make sure. He hadn't married, his life was very valuable.

"No. All are unrelated. They came from several different organizations." Lance answered.

"Hm..." Trevon needed to think. [The place is great. The price is good, but I feel something dangerous.]

[Special Mission Unlocked.]

[Lv 1 Special Mission: Rent the place for your personal house.]

[Mission Reward: 10 Destiny Energy and a very small chance to get a treasure.]

[Mission Description: There is definitely something fishy with the house. There is a very small chance that there is a treasure in the house. Are you afraid? Gwahahaha.]

[Do you want to accept? This mission will disappear in 10 seconds.]

[What is this mission?] Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"Are you afraid?" Master Rabbink sneered.

[Mission accepted.]

While Trevon didn't like to get into unnecessary trouble, he would never afraid of trouble if he got something out of it. He believed he was stronger than the previous owners.

This was also the reason why Trevon dared to take the fruit with a Lizardsnake guarding it. He was really sure the fruit was something great. The spoiled young master had seen the fruit in one of the books in the library. For him, being punished in a library had its own perk.

[Since Master Rabbink tells there is a very small chance to get a treasure, there must be a treasure there.] Trevon thought. Therefore, Trevon decided to take the risk. He only got 10 seconds to decide and worst came worst he would reject the mission.

[What is the treasure?] Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"You should check it yourself. This Rabbink had never said you will get the treasure. However, it would be worth it." Master Rabbink said.

[I will get it.] Trevon felt it would be a special treasure.

"I didn't believe the assassin dared to attack me." Trevon opened his fan and acted cool.

"Who is the owner?" Trevon asked Kevin and Lance.

"The owner is a descendant of a famous merchant." Kevin said.

"It was said that at that time the famous merchant invited a Rank 3 mercenary to protect his store. He used this house as an accommodation for the mercenary." Lance answered. "Because of this, the house was called Mercenary House."

"Hm..." Trevon thought something. "Jerry, I want you to negotiate with the owner of this house. I want it cheaper, because of the danger involved."

"Yes, Young Master." Jerry answered.

"If it is possible, I want to demolish some parts of the house. However, I promised to return it to the normal again after I end the contract." Trevon planned to call people to rebuild the house if necessary. He had to get the treasure.

"Do you want to do something to the house, Young Master?" Jerry asked.

"I might need to renovate for protection purpose." Trevon said and gave 1.800 spirit stone to Jerry. He would never say that he wanted to demolish the house for treasure hunting to the current owner.

"Of course, Young Master." Jerry then went with Kevin. He wanted to finish things as fast as possible.

"Jack and Lance, we will check the house more carefully." Trevon said. "We don't want if there was a secret passage in the house for assassination."

"But, Young Master, those owners were killed when they went outside the town." Lance explained.

"Eh?" Trevon thought they were killed in the house.

"This is Redwood City. If a killing happened in the city, the Redwood family will react."

"Yes. I know." Trevon said. "I only want to make sure of the house safety."

Trevon led Jack and Jerry to check every corner of the house. They found several rat holes, but he didn't find anything strange. Trevon even started to knock every wall and pillar. In the end, they didn't find anything.

1 hour later, Jerry returned with the contract.

"Young Master, I manage to get the place for 100 spirit stones per month." Jerry reported. He returned 600 spirit stones to Trevon.

[Lv 1 Special Mission: Rent the place for your personal house.]

[User got 10 Destiny Energy and a very small chance to get a treasure.]

"What about the right to demolish the house?" Trevon asked.

"The owner asked us to keep the house." Jerry answered.

"Did they tell you the reason?" Trevon felt more suspicious.

"They said the house was created by that Rank 3 warrior." Jerry said. "So, they believe it had some prestige that increased the house value."

"Hm..." Trevon was even more sure for the treasure.

"We will move to this house from tomorrow." Trevon decided.

"Yes, Young Master." Jerry said. "I will ask some maids from the family pavilion to help clean the place."

"Good. Also asked for some guards to check every inch of this house." Trevon ordered. "I want you to directly command them. If you find something strange, call me first!"

"Are you sure to ask other people to find the treasure for you?" Master Rabbink was shocked with Trevon.

[I have searched but I couldn't find it. There would be too many people to prevent them to grab the treasures alone.] Trevon said. [So, to make it easier, could you tell me the treasure location?] Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"Nope. This Rabbink could not directly tell you." Master Rabbink said.

[But you could give me some clues, right?] Trevon asked.

"Let me check the manual first." Master Rabbink took a very thick book from God knew where.

Master Rabbink quickly eat the pages. Before it finally stopped.

"I could give you some clues, but you need to do something for me. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink felt proud.

[What do you want?] Trevon believed it would relate to food.

"I want some fried chickens." Master Rabbink decided. It had never eaten fried chickens on this planet. "Give me 500 different fried chickens for the clue! Gwahahaha." It always tried to find the secret herbs for that world-famous fried chicken.

"Kevin and Lance! Tomorrow, you will find 500 different fried chickens and brought it here." Trevon took some gold coins and gave those coins to Kevin and Lance. "I will visit this place before lunch."

Trevon finally decided to return to his family pavilion. He decided to find the flashy technique first.

He went to the family martial art library and showed his family token.

"Yes. You can enter." The elder guarding the library allowed Trevon to enter. "You could only copy 1 manual from 1st floor. You also will be required to destroy the copy in front of a library elder later..." The elder continued to tell the library's rules.

"Yes, Elder." Trevon entered the library. He had heard the same sentences for over 270 days during his punishment time. [I don't know why the elder said the same thing every time he entered a library. Not only in my world, but also in other novels, the library elders are all the same. There must be a scene of library elders telling rules.] Trevon thought.

Trevon went to the martial art sections. McArthur family had numerous martial arts in its library. The original manual was kept in the family village. Only the copies were here in Redwood. The collection in Redwood, of course, wouldn't be as many as in Bluestar or in the family village.

[Is this considered flashy martial arts?] Trevon took a book. Its name was Five Forbidden Fingers aka FFF.

"Nope. It isn't. The art only manifested 5 dark beams." Master Rabbink said.

Trevon picked the book next to it. [How about this?]

"Nope. It is just a common punching art." Master Rabbink said.

Trevon picked another book next to it. [This one?]

"Nope. It just creates a big hammer."

[Then this will be it.] Trevon picked another book.

"Do you really want to pick those books one by one?" Master Rabbink felt humiliated. Although the Rabbink was a Celestial-level being, it was treated as a book finder system.

[It is your problem. What is the definition of Flashy?] Trevon complained. He had read so many system novels, but Master Rabbink was very subjective. Trevon even really believed the fruit missions were there to troll him.

"Fine." Master Rabbink couldn't find fault with Trevon's reasoning. It sent a spiritual sense message to Trevon.

[Ah, so these arts considered as Flash Martial Arts.] Trevon saw the book location which was considered as flashy martial arts.

Trevon looked at those books one by one. He didn't know which one was hard and which one was strong. Finally, he decided based on its name.

"1.000 Holy Flashes." Trevon read the name of a book close to him. He really felt this technique was powerful.

[Is it good?] Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"What? You want me to select the book for you?" Master Rabbink really felt it was treated as a book finder system.

[At last, showed me its battle power and difficulty to learn.] Trevon complained. He didn't want to learn a difficult but finally turned into a useless technique.

"You can just sell the book to Universe Store. I will remove its flaw and turned it into a top martial art." Master Rabbink declared.

[Then I will pick this martial art.] Trevon selected '1.000 Holy Flashes' book.

Trevon finally brought the book to the library elder. "I want to make a copy of this book."

"Are you sure?" The elder was surprised with Trevon selection.

"Is there any problem Elder?" Trevon asked.

"No. It just this technique is a common martial art." The library elder answered. "You could buy a copy from a side street martial art vendor. It would be cheaper than requesting a copying job from the family."

"Eh? This is a common martial art." Trevon was surprised. [The name seems very powerful.]

[Are you sure you can turn it into perfect arts?] Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"Of course. This is the Creator." Master Rabbink harrumphed. It never imagined a young human doubted its capability. "You could even unlock the ability by doing some Master Rabbink mission directly."

[No. I will just sell a copy of the manual to you.] Trevon didn't want to do Master Rabbink Mission, sometimes it was too crazy to do.

"Then I will just buy it from a street side vendor." Trevon decided. "Thank you for your instructions, Elder."

The elder only nodded. He took the book to a pile of books behind him. As an elder, he would only need to instruct a librarian to place the book in the correct place later.

Trevon went from the martial art library to the common library. He checked the golden elf's Millions Year Old Ash Forest but he didn't find anything.

[Did you lie to me?] Trevon asked.

"The place is real. You have to walk further into the destiny path and you will find it." Master Rabbink said.

[Can you give more clues?]

"Nope. That information is already the maximum this Rabbink could give you." Master Rabbink didn't want anything at this time. [Perhaps, in the future. Gwahahaha.]

[Fine. I only need to become stronger, right? It isn't that hard.] Trevon could do that for a Golden Elf. [Hwehwehwe.]

Trevon decided to call it a day. He ate a late dinner before returning to his room. Before he entered the room the pressed the Troublemeter and obtained a free bird poo.

[GAAAAAAAAAH!!!] He angrily looked into Master Rabbink.

"This is not bad. You remember that Hurricane?" Master Rabbink hummed.

[Yeah! This is not bad.] Trevon half-hearted said. He quickly went to take a bath.

That night, Trevon borrowed the tablet from Master Rabbink. He read those novels again for 3 hours. From those novels, he learned the main characters' wisdom. The wisdom was the 'run, hide, cultivate, and facepalm' the enemy tactic. He loved it.
