80 Redwood Forest

Trevon went to Redwood forest together with his Aunt. They brought a small wagon with some Fire Alogos. His team consisted of his aunt Josephine, Jack, Jerry, Kevin, Lance, Jonathan, a wagon driver and five hired hunters. He kept Nana at his universe.

They all sat in a family wagon while one of the family staffs controlled the Fire Alogos. The large Wagon had a room for the team to have a meeting.

The hunters opened the map on the table. It was a self-drawing map of the forest. Trevon could see some marks on the map. A map was the power of hunters, a good hunter had a more detailed map. That was the reason Trevon had to hire them to visit the forest.

"Where do you want to search, Young master?" Jonathan asked.

"I have heard something called the Wailing Tree. Do you know where?" Trevon asked those hunters.

"That is a famous spot in the forest." They pointed to a location on the map.

"That is too far." Josephine frowned.

[I got an information from Master Creator to search around that region.] Trevon said to his aunt using spiritual energy.

[We should inform the elders in the forest.] Josephine said. [If it was Master Creator, a big chance Alvaro's team would be in that region.]

[I am not sure. However, he asked me to go there.]

Josephine went to some thought. She frowned his fair forehead. [Fine, we will check first.] She made some decisions. [I will send some information to your uncle to prepare a medic team. He would call some helpers to our position.]

Trevon nodded. As long as he could go near that tree, he could accomplish some missions. The group continued to discuss many things. Entering the forest at this time should be safe. Except for a small risk that the beast returned again.

They passed some small villages, or to be more correct, some former villages. Trevon also had passed these small villages before. However, it was different from before. Only the desolation and destruction could be found in the villages. He could see some survivors who tried to gather any salvageable things.

All buildings were trampled and death aura permeated the village. Most villager couldn't save their belongings and livestock. If they managed to save their lives, that was already a luxury for common people.

Trevon and his group arrived at the forest fifteen minutes later. They left the driver and the wagon at the border of the forest. No villagers or bandit would attack a wagon from McArthur family. Besides, the driver had some martial arts ability to protect himself and the wagon.

"Here is the path to the Wailing Tree." One of the hunters led the way. This guiding wasn't a hard job, and Trevon had agreed to pay those hunters each one hundred gold coins. It was a huge reward for those hunters. Something that was worth the risk for the hunter.

"I also interested in wolves and boars. If you saw their mark, do not forget to tell me." He told those hunters. He needed to hunt some wolves for Master Rabbink while the boars for his Destiny Mission.

The young master didn't believe he could recruit some demon beasts for his Job Missions after the beast waves. Those beasts would gather at the forest core. Only common animals would be outside.

Josephine only felt his nephew was strange. She wanted to go to the tree faster, Alvaro was her elder brother.

[Perhaps, it was another request from Master Creator for him to find his father himself.] She could only follow Trevon.

As an elder, she had participated in the family emergency meeting after the beast waves. Michael, the family leader had decided to maintain a respectful position between the family and Master Creator. They would not question or tried to peer into Master Creator's actions.

On one side, they were afraid since Master Creator was a powerful expert and it was the same with his opponents. The family was afraid Master Creator had powerful enemies and would be implicated. While on the other side, they also wanted some benefits from the relationship with him.

An indirect business partnership was the method the family decided that they were comfortable with. This was the way of cultivation family to survive thousands of generations, trying to get benefits while minimizing risks.

They went deep into the forest for ten minutes, before one of the hunters stopped. He pointed in a direction. Trevon saw a huge tiger body. It was a dead Demon Beast.

[No way! This tiger is...] Trevon couldn't use his Scout to a dead body. However, he knew for sure from the flat tail.

"See! You killed the tiger." Master Rabbink said. Trevon didn't believe what Master Rabbink said before.

[Sh*t! That tiger really died from the infection.]

"This is a Rank 3 Demon Beast." Josephine was surprised with the finding. [Some powerful expert attacked its tail. Only a Rank 4 warrior could do it. Is the warrior the expert of the imperial family? Is Master Creator who did this?] She started to wonder while looking at Trevon.

She took the tiger to her storage rings. "Do not worry! McArthur family will add your rewards. We will give a fair extra reward."

"Thank you, Elder." All hunters bowed to Josephine. They knew even if all joined, they wouldn't be able to defeat this beautiful elder from McArthur family.

"Let's go! We shouldn't waste our time." She wanted to find her brother soon.

The group continued to walk. Inside the forest, it was warm and wet. This wasn't strange the main tree in the forest was a fire elemental tree, the Fire Leaf Oak Tree.

Trevon saw the trees were taller than those in the entrance. Each tree was over twenty-meter tall with some were over than five-meter diameter. Its trunk was dark brown, but its dense leaves were bright red. The tree leaves could emit warm air, which made the forest felt warm.

The forest floor was filled with the fallen leaves and some red grassed which would emit a short crack sound when they were stepped. Even fallen leaves would emit some warmness. However, it was just right. You would never feel hot in Redwood Forest. From between the leaves on the floor, Trevon's spiritual sense could see some small insects looking for foods.

[Nobody would believe if the Redwood Forest King is only a cockroach.] Trevon thought. It was the small beast who ruled the forest. [No, nobody would believe a rabbink is a God.]

"Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink laughed.

The hunters took turns to open the path. They checked the surrounded carefully. When they saw dense bushes, they would use a long spear to check.

The trip wasn't as hard as usual since the beast wave had cleared numerous obstacles in the forest. Trevon could see some huge beasts' trails on the forest floor. It could be seen from the destroyed trees and bushes on the trail.

It was 14:00, the team decided to take some rest. The cultivators were fine. However, the hunters needed some rest. They made a camp and lighted a fire.

Jack and Jerry seemed anxious. The rest of the six-men were also with Alvaro. They went to the forest also with the hope to find their colleagues. If not because of the life jade slip still showed those people were alive, they would already lose hope.

All the people knew the chance was small. The Redwood Forest was big, but they wanted to become the extra hand to help their colleagues. They all would vomit blood if they knew the son of the missing elder went to the forest for doing some missions.

"What is this?" Suddenly Kevin shouted.

Trevon looked into a direction. He saw a golden thing bellow a Fire Leaf Oak Tree.

"That is a gold mushroom. It was one the delicacy from Redwood Forest." One of the hunters said. They often found the mushroom when they hunted.

Kevin was about to grab the mushroom when Trevon shouted.

"Stop!!!"

Kevin stopped. He was afraid. [Is there any danger?] The young warrior looked around with his spiritual sense while taking his sword to prepare for an attack. All other members of the group also readied themselves.

"I want to grab it." Trevon went next to the mushroom and pulled the mushroom.

"..." Everyone looked at each other and lowered their weapons.

Trevon saw the mushroom on his right hands. It was a golden-colored common mushroom. [It is not special.] He thought.

"Give it to me!" Master Rabbink couldn't wait to taste. Based on its calculation, it was delicious.

Trevon acted like he put the mushroom on his storage rings. However, Master Rabbink already took it. Master Rabbink brought the mushroom to a campfire, stabbed it with a stick, and grilled the mushroom. "Yummie."

Trevon could smell the delicious mushroom. It was similar to a grilled steak.

"Who is cooking mushroom?" The hunter looked around again. Nobody could see a mushroom cooked, but they smelt the delicious aroma.

"Hahaha! It's me." Trevon took the stick from the Rabbink. [That is dangerous, Rabbink! Cook somewhere else.]

Everyone looked around again. [Did you see young master take the mushroom?] Lance asked.

[He is very fast.] Jack only said a bit.

[He could become the fast drawing sword master.] Jerry commented. While the hunters thought any cultivators could do that. Cultivators were synonym with great things for common people.

Only Josephine could guess. [That is Master Creator.]

"Let's plant some in your universe." Master Rabbink suggested.

[Do you think it is easy?]

"You need to find some mushroom spore. You already got some on your hand." Master Rabbink said. "As long as you entered your universe, it would be recorded by the core. You can bring a plant into your universe."

Trevon wanted to try. "Aunt. I got a nature calling. I want to find a small brush." Trevon ran behind a tree before he went further. He used his Core Management skill to go into his universe.

Trevon got a notification. He had got a similar notification when he brought Nana, but it wasn't as clear as this.

"Why didn't I get a notification from Nana's foods?" Trevon asked Master Rabbink.

"Those are already processed. You need natural things. The cooked mushroom didn't add the species. It is the spore. Give me my mushroom!" Master Rabbink took the stick from Trevon again.

"This is delicious!" The Rabbink enjoyed the mushroom. "I should use some cooking seasoning later."

"Can I bring a tree?" Trevon asked.

"As long as you touch it. Next level you could transfer instead bringing them into your universe." Master Rabbink still chewed the juicy mushroom.

[I have to try it.] Trevon went back to the Redwood Forest and grabbed a big tree near him before returned to his universe.

[This is great.] Trevon thought. He went back to the Redwood Forest.

Trevon tried to bring another Redwood Forest Fire Leaf Oak, but he didn't get new notifications for that. [So, I could only get the notification once.] Trevon thought. He brought another six new plants before he returned to the camp.

When he returned to the camp, the hunters were removing their resting trace. This was their habit to protect themselves from the demon beast. The beast had higher intelligence and might use the trace to know a human was there.

"Let's go!" Josephine told the group to continue the journey.

"Yes." The hunter led the way again.

They needed to pass some fallen tree before they went deeper into the forest. It was 15:00 when Trevon heard a melody in his ear.

"Awoooo..."

"Awoooo..."

"Awoooo..."

"We are entering a wolves' territory." One of the hunters prepared their weapon.

"I will fight them." Trevon was happy. He could complete Master Rabbink's missions. He took some talismans. The young master had some left after the beast waves.

Josephine only watched, common wolves weren't dangerous for a cultivator.

Trevon could see twenty wolves ran to their group position. A slightly bigger wolf led the pack.

[Piercing Wind Dash!] Trevon moved closer to the pack. He had seen using his scout. All were just common animal or beast.

Trevon threw some talismans to buff him. Jack and the rest followed Trevon. They would need to help if Trevon falls into an encirclement.

It wasn't hard for Trevon. ['1.000 Holy Flashes'!!] Trevon pointed his fingers into the group. While this ability was weak, but it had a large targeting area. He only needed to use 1.000 Holy Flashes a few times to defeat the pack.

They continued their journey, leaving the wolf's territory. They went deeper into the forest. Ten minutes later, Trevon could see a very large tree towering the rest of the tree. It was very big.

"That is the Wailing Tree." The hunters proudly introduced the tree.

"We will search around." Josephine said.

It took another five minutes before they arrived at the root of the tree. It was a marvel. Its trunk had a diameter of that would require fifty people to hug around it. Trevon moved his head to look above, but he couldn't see the end of the tree from the root.

"I need to climb this." Trevon said. He started to climb the tree. While it was high, it wasn't hard for a cultivator. Trevon jumped from one branch to another.

"Gwah!!!" He almost slipped. The young master stepped on the moss on the tree.

"You need to be careful." Master Rabbink said.

Trevon looked below. [I will die if I fall.] He thought.

"Are you fine, Young Master?" Jerry and the rest followed Trevon. Only Jonathan and Josephine were waiting with the hunters. The hunters started to make a camp on the tree foot.

"I am fine." Trevon continued to jump to the top of the tree. He arrived at the top of the tree with Jack and his other bodyguards except for Jonathan. The Primary Rank 1 warrior was waiting with the hunter.

"There is nothing." Jerry started to look around. He was the first to arrive at the top.

"You need to scream if you want something. There is a rumor, a person wailed at the top of the tree. He got all his wishes to come true. Therefore, people called this tree the Wailing Tree." Lance said. He and Kevin were a Redwood native and had heard about the rumor.

"I want to meet you guys, Jill, Jax, Joe, Jimmy!" Jerry tried to shout. He didn't lose anything for shouting.

"I saw a smoke." Jack said. "Over there. Our family emergency smoke signal!"

Jerry also saw the smoke.

"There is emergency smoke signal!" He screamed. Before he and Jack descended from the tree.

Josephine and the rest were at the foot of the tree they couldn't see the smoke.

"Where?" Josephine asked. She could hear Jack and Jerry above. The tree was tall to prevent shout coming below to the tree base.

"North East direction, around two kilometers from here." Jack arrived at the bottom. It was easy for a Peak Rank 1 cultivator like him to descend.

"Go!" Josephine wanted to find her brother soon.

Trevon was left alone on top of the tree. [This is my chance. The rumor was true.]

"There won't be a legend without any story behind it." Master Rabbink said. "Now complete the mission!" Master Rabbink couldn't wait to hear a praise. [Gwahahaha.]

"I want to marry a very very very beautiful girl!" Trevon screamed.

"Do not say a thing so easily!" Master Rabbink felt some destinies was changed.

"Yeah! Yeah!" Trevon didn't care. He screamed. "I want a harem!!! I want to marry a Crystal Fox Demon! Hwehwehwe." He laughed.

Master Rabbink face slammed its own forehead. "The Destiny is messed by him."

Trevon felt that wasn't enough. "I want to marry..."

Master Rabbink stopped Trevon. "Hey! You need to say mission first. I will cancel if you say other things."

"The Creator is the most handsome being in Endless Universes!" Trevon shouted. "Are you happy?"

"Good. This is good." Master Rabbink could feel the movement of spiritual energy. While the destiny didn't affect him, it was a good feeling.

"I want to marry a Golden Elf. I want to marry a Phoenix Demon! I want to marry a Dragon Demon." Trevon shouted again.

"..."

"Do you have enough?" Master Rabbink said. The Rabbink knew the special power was already used, it would need some recharge time before it returned.

"Fine. Fine." Trevon descended below.

He saw those hunters and Jonathan on the ground. "Where is my aunt?"

"She went that way, Young Master." One of the hunters said.

"Led the way!" Trevon told those hunters.

"Yes, Young Master." They quickly packed the camp. It wasn't much, they only need to remove the campfire.

They led the way, but...

Trevon looked to the tree. He smiled.

Many panels with seiyuu voice flooded Trevon's vision.

"What are you doing? This is a destruction of a natural formation." Master Rabbink screamed. While it could remake the formation, as a Creator it was too lazy to make such weak formation.

"What do you mean?"

"This formation had a chance to make some wishes come true. However, this needs the right location, right spiritual energy, and the right medium, which for this formation is the tree. Yet, you just took the tree, now it is broken. Even if you replanted the tree, the balance might not be correct." Master Rabbink complained.

"Eh? I thought I could plant the tree in my universe, so I could make more wishes without going here."

Master Rabbink face palmed its own forehead again.

"You are! You are truly a disaster." Master Rabbink kept complaining.

"What happened has happened." Trevon didn't know. "This is because you didn't tell me before."

Trevon returned back to the tree base. He saw some debris around the area. The place left a huge hole in it.

[What is this?] He took a strange scroll.

"Young Master!" Jonathan returned.

"What?"

"Woaaaaah!!!" Jonathan screamed. He saw a huge hole. The famous wailing tree was disappeared.

"What happened?" Some hunters returned.

"What???" They all screamed when they returned to the camp. The huge tree was disappeared.

"I wanted to follow you guys when the tree suddenly disappeared." Trevon said. "The tree must already fulfill enough wishes so it went to other places."

"..." The other hunters were shocked they didn't hear Trevon's strange explanation. This would be another legend of Redwood City. A new pond called 'Wailing Pond' would appear on the place. That was the cry of the hunters who lost their forest landmark.

[I will just make a portal here.] Trevon decided. He still hadn't met the boar for his mission.

The young master used Core Management to add a portal in the forest.

Trevon and the hunters finally reached the smoke location. The hunters could easily track from their tracks. He saw Jack and the rest were helping some injured people. Josephine was talking with her brother Alvaro.

Alvaro looked into Trevon.

"Er... Father." Trevon didn't want to meet his scary father.

"You are fine." Alvaro only said that. He continued to talk with Josephine. Trevon already accustomed with his father's behavior.

Before Trevon came, Josephine already sent some Lighting Pigeon to ask for help. Alvaro had too many injured people who needed medical treatments. Most were non-cultivators, so they couldn't use spiritual energy to heal their injuries.

"Uncle Cyde! How are you?" He called Cyde, his favorite bodyguard.

"Some little injuries, Young Master. What about you? Did you managed to gain some fames during the beast waves?"

They waited sometimes in the forest for the rescue party. Trevon talked with Cyde and the rest of six-men. He asked about the story in the forest while he also bragged about his brave escape from the wall to the pavilion. Of course, he only exaggerated the Flaming Claw Bear fight. The young master would never tell about the Plot Armor. Nobody would believe he could survive some Rank 3 demon beasts.

Trevon heard the survival stories from the group. The group was mining Star Stones around the meteorite and capturing some demon beasts when they heard about the beast waves. Alvaro decided to protect the rear which made them needed to block some demon beasts.

During one of the fights, Alvaro saw a huge hole. He decided to bring injured people to rest in the hole while waiting for the beast wave to pass them. Alvaro used some formation to block their presence from a weaker demon beast.

After they check the cave, the group found that the cave was an entrance into a small inheritance dungeon. Some warriors in the group tried to obtain the inheritance. In the end, the genius Alvaro obtained the main inheritance. While the other only managed to get some small treasures. Nobody would challenge their elder for this inheritance. The dungeon disappeared after the inheritance was inherited.

The group managed to pass the danger that way. However, the beast returned back into the forest. They fought with a pack of wolf-type demon beasts which was the original owner of the cave. Some cultivators got injured during the fight. Because of this, they couldn't return. Therefore, every day they made a fire to call for help.

Three hours later, a group of McArthur rescue team appeared. They brought Alvaro and his team together with Trevon and his team back to Redwood.

The young master had taken more samples from the forest during those three hours. During this time, he also managed to hunt five boars for the meal.
