26 Nana

"It can't be." Trevon was shocked. He was scouting on the giant cage until a fat mouse was targeted.

[Name: Unnamed]

[Age: 1 months]

[Sex: Female]

[Species: Snow Mouse]

[Potential: 2/96]

[Determination: 88]

[Cultivation Speed: 91]

[Loyalty: 70]

[Talent: Eating, Burrowing, Breeding, Jumping]

[Ability: Mouse Bite]

It was a food for the spiders. Trevon almost missed the mouse. There were multiple mice in the cage, but this one was a bit bigger than the rest. Because he wondered what an unusual a fat mouse, he scouted it on the whim. Perhaps people thought this baby demon beast as one of a common fat white mouse for food.

[F*CK! 96!!! Not only that! Its cultivation speed is 91. It also has high determination.]

"Quick! I want this mouse!" Trevon grabbed the merchant. He almost made the merchant had a heart attack. The merchant just got his stents last week. He couldn't imagine when a McArthur family young master came to his store, he came to buy a common mouse.

He told one of his employees to take that slightly larger white mouse. "Are you sure you want this mouse, Young Master? This is just a food for a demon beast." He didn't know how much he should put the price for a common mouse.

"Gwahahaha. You found it." Master Rabbink materialized multiple party equipment. A high-spirited music, multiple laser, and fireworks appeared.

"How much is it?" Trevon quickly wanted to conclude the deal. He was too tired after reaching over 740 thousand beasts scouted.

"Well, I can give the mouse for free if young master purchases any demon beasts from my store." The merchant tried to make a sales purchase. He could brag that a McArthur young master bought a pet from his store.

"I just want this mouse. How about 10 spirit stones?" Trevon wanted to conclude the deal. 10 spirit stones were a fair price for a Primary Rank 1 Demon Beast. It was already all spirit stones left in his small wallet.

"Is this a demon beast?" The merchant looked into the mouse in his hand. He almost fed 10 spirit stones to the spider.

"I just find it's cute. I can't watch it being eaten." Trevon lied.

"Oh. Ok." That merchant understood that some young masters were unique. At last, he could brag that he sold a common mouse for 10 spirit stones. He would be famous in the circle of beast merchants. Other than that, Trevon didn't buy any demon beasts.

Jerry took the mouse inside the free cage given by the merchant. The mouse had yet to be tamed. Trevon would look for a tamer later on. There were some beast tamers in the family.

"Young Master, you don't plan to feed this mouse to Miss Raina's Swan. Right?" Jerry asked. It was a mouse worth 10 spirit stones. [Perhaps, the swan wouldn't like to eat a common mouse.]

"Raina's Swan?" Trevon had forgotten about his bet. He had focused to look for a beast who could turn into a Demon. Trevon looked into the mouse. It was happily eating some vegetables in the cage.

"I haven't set the time." Trevon said.

[Master Rabbink, when will this mouse capable to beat that Swan?] He asked Master Rabbink.

Master Rabbink calculated using its materialized hands. "Between 2 years to 5 years, depending on how you feed it. A demon beast builds its core using the food."

"You could have a Demon between 10 to 50 years. Mouse-type demon beasts eat a lot so they could grow fast." Master Rabbink laughed. A demon beast was like cultivators, it had its own lifespan. Mouse-type demon beasts had a shorter lifespan compared to other demon beasts. But, it also grew at a faster rate than other demon beasts.

"I will fight Raina in 10 years." Trevon shamelessly said. He wanted to ensure his win. If he was lucky he would bring a Demon to fight that swan. At the worst, he could challenge her in 5 years and he would be the winner.

"Yes?" Jerry was shocked. He didn't imagine his young master planned the fight 10 years later.

"Let's us go home!" Trevon was tired. It closed to dawn. "Take the mouse to a beast tamer! I want it to be tamed fast." He brought Jack, Jerry, and Jonathan back to the pavilion.

Trevon slept well that day. He was too tired. He didn't have his dinner yesterday. It wasn't a problem since his cultivation could remedy some tiredness. Yet he still required some good rest.

"Up, Up, Up, Up, Wake Up! Up, Up, U, U, Up, Wake Up!" An electronic music woke Trevon up. He looked into a Rabbink who was happily spinning a plate on his side table. It wore a long shiny wig, a fake mustache, and a fake beard.

"What is this?" Trevon complained.

Master Rabbink quickly put all his costumes somewhere. Trevon already knew that this Rabbink could use the mysterious space elemental arts.

"It was close to noon. This Rabbink is hungry." It gave an innocent look. "Let's go to the dining hall!"

"What time is it?" Trevon looked into a mechanical clock in his room. It was 10.15. "I still need some sleep." Trevon took his blanket.

"Brag!" He got body slammed by Master Rabbink. "Don't be lazy! Don't you want to survive the Beast Waves? Let's practice!"

"Beast Waves?" Trevon was half-awake. "F*CK!!!" He cursed." His calm life was destroyed by this Rabbink. He had to keep getting stronger to survive the beast waves.

Most families would put their young master and lady fighting against the wave. It was to temper them with real battle. Being a young master of a cultivation family, he would get some guards during the battle. Yet, the battle was full of dangers. It wasn't rare that some young masters or ladies injured or lost their lives during beast waves.

Trevon didn't believe the protection measure. With an artifact such as Troublemeter stuck with him and a crazy Rabbink who could summon disasters on a whim, his life would be in a gamble. He could imagine a strong beast suddenly charging to his position, or stray martial arts or beast abilities hitting him, or the worst possible thing, a demon targeting him.

The first thing he checked was the Troublemeter. There had been some lights on it. He pressed the button. [No problem happened. Looks like this artifact could stop working sometimes.] He smiled.

[Good! Let's take a bath.] Trevon took his bathing tools. He tried to fill his bucket with warm water.

[Nice!] Trevon took the bath. He felt the water was great. He used some shampoo and bath foams. [Hm... I like this scent.] He used the famous brand from 1Crowbar corporation, a top company which their McArthur family had some shares. He went out of the tub. [My little brother looks healthy today. Hahaha.]

He opened the faucet again to rinse his body and hair. [Huh?]

No water was out.

These 4 words made his day. [F*CK!!!] He cursed in his heart. He then used his spiritual energy to gather water elements in the air. As a cultivator, he could combine water elemental and fire elemental in the air to make some warm water. However, he was only a low-level cultivator. Therefore, the water created by him was very cold. This was also an exhausting method. He felt drained after the bath.

"Br... Br... Br..." He really wanted to cry. Trevon really enjoyed the bath until that point. He would give some lessons to the maintenance workers after he finished his bath.

He quickly dried his body using his favorite towel. [I am going to find the mechanic. Why didn't he maintain the faucet?] He wore a silver robe from a famous designer. He didn't have to visit the elder assembly today, so he could look better. He wanted to find some girls. HweHweHwe.

[Perhaps visiting Grand Master Vale would be nice.] He sprayed some perfume and ready to go.

"Jerry! Let's find the mechanic who maintains the water system. I didn't get any water during the bath!"

"Eh? Young Master didn't know?" Jerry surprised.

"What didn't I know?"

"We have a water maintenance today from 10.25 to 11.00." Jerry answered. "It was informed in the central board."

"..." Trevon had never read that board. He didn't care about some small news like that. He would get some people reminded him. As a young master, he only looked for gossip, especially girl's news. He couldn't mess with those mechanics because the maintenance had been told the previous week. If he did, the elders would punish him. [Is it because of that Troublemeter?]

"Well, the trouble came from your own mistake. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink laughed.

[What about the Demon Beast Wave?] Trevon complained.

"Why did you come to Redwood? It is part of your destiny. Being a God apprentice is your destiny. If I could select, I would choose for that girl Raina. She would be a better apprentice than you. Do you want to die now? I could call the waves now. Let's just say 1 billion demon beasts! It would be enough. Hehehe." Master Rabbink smirked.

[No!!!]

"That is the spirit. Now go! Get more Destiny energy!" Master Rabbink felt happy. This apprentice needed the harsh love.

[Could I have some better missions?] Trevon asked. He wanted a simple mission, which could give many destiny energies.

"Just keep doing missions! You will get better ones." Master Rabbink explained.

Trevon used the Quest Mode Using skill again. He focused on checking his information to check his Destiny energy.

[Name: Trevon McArthur]

[Age: 14 Years, 9 Months]

[Level: 11 - Middle Rank 1]

[Destiny Energy: 2.135]

[That was some destiny energies. It was similar to use 2 spirit stones.] Trevon thought.

[Do you want to use destiny energy for cultivation? State the quantity you want!]

[Yes! All of them.] Trevon said.

Trevon felt some surge in his body, he would require much more energy to increase his cultivation. If it was easy, people wouldn't need some years to just rank up a bit.

"Let's go find some little kids." Trevon asked Jerry and Jack to follow him. "Where is Jonathan?"

"Erm... He is training in the training room. Do you want to bring him?"

[He is training? With that low determination?] Trevon thought. "Just leave him be! What about the mouse?"

"It was taken to Elder Rivet to be trained this morning. It was actually a mouse-type demon beast." Jerry reported.

[Wait! I haven't checked Jerry's status.] Trevon thought. He used Scout on Jerry.

[Name: Jerry]

[Age: 32 Years]

[Sex: Male]

[Species: Human]

[Potential: 13/19]

[Determination: 28]

[Cultivation Speed: 31]

[Loyalty: 50]

[Talent: Speaking, Persuading, Critical Thinking, Shadowing]

[Ability: Flame Punch - Earth Rank, Shadow Steps - Earth Rank, Lighting Slash - Earth Rank, Roaring Eagle Sword Combination 1st Level - Sky Rank]

Trevon realized scout gave more information for cultivators' martial arts than demon beasts' ability. Most Jerry's martial arts were common martial arts.

Flame Punch was the average punching martial art for people in Heavenly Phoenix. Its manual sold in any market. Shadows Steps and Eagle Sword combinations were the special martial arts given by the family. Jerry must have traded some contributions for this. [Perhaps my father helped him to learn Eagle Sword Combination. That sword combination had been mastered by his father.]

I haven't checked Jack after I leveled the skill. Trevon tried the skill on Jack.

[Name: Jack]

[Age: 63 Years]

[Sex: Male]

[Species: Human]

[Potential: 23/31]

[Determination: 93]

[Cultivation Speed: 46]

[Loyalty: 90]

[Talent: Fighting - Katana, Writing]

[Ability: Flame Punch - Earth Rank, Shadow Steps - Sky Rank, Roaring Eagle Sword Combination 1st Level - Sky Rank, Double Sword Combo 1st Level - Man Rank, Triple Slash - Sky Rank, Iron Body Defense - Earth Rank, Penetrating Fist - Man Rank]

That was the difference between a diligent person and not. Jack clearly had learned more martial arts. Some were even to the Sky mastery level. Trevon found the difference between Jack and Jerry. He looked into Jack and Jerry multiple times.

"Is there something wrong, Young Master?" Jerry wondered. Their young master was strange. He looked into them and changed it multiple times.

"No. I am fine." Trevon took his fan and acted cool. "Also, Jack, you might want to stop your double sword training. Try to find any katana martial arts in the martial library!" Trevon said to Jack. He didn't care whether Jack would listen to him. He only wanted to give his men some help to become stronger. [Who would benefit if they get stronger? Of course, the one who could order them around. I am a genius. Hahahaha.]

"Er? Yes. Young Master, thanks for your instruction." Jack answered. [What's wrong with the young master? He didn't like to study martial arts. Wait? How did he know I practice Double Swords?] Jack didn't dare to ask his young master.

They walked into the dining hall.

"Wow! There are more new foods here." Master Rabbink was happy.

[He is a rabbink after all.] Trevon thought.

"I am different. I am a God Rabbink." It spoke while taking more foods.

"Let's just eat!" Trevon ate while using his Scout skill. He wanted to increase the skill. This skill was useful to him.

"Here you are! I thought you will never get out of your room." Raina ran into the dining hall. She was waiting for the news when Trevon left his room.

"Do not forget about our bet! Let's fight! Are you afraid?" Raina was smiling. She had heard Trevon picked a Mouse yesterday. The mouse even almost became a food for some demon beasts which purpose was to be food for a high-ranked beast. It almost became food for food.

"Who is afraid? Just wait 10 years! I believe you won't dare to fight my mouse in 10 years." Trevon felt angry. [That mouse is a Demon would be].

"What? 10 years?" Raina felt something was lost. "I can't wait that long. Let's just fight right now!"

"We didn't decide the time yesterday. So, 10 years is not wrong. Elder Sister can give up if you want." Trevon persisted. A baby mouse would never win against a Peak Rank 1 demon beast.

"Who wants to give up?" Raina rejected the idea. "Let's fight at the end of the month!" Raina smiled.

"There is no way you want to pit your Swan with my baby mouse." Trevon complained. "It is bullying, a baby versus a big girl."

"What is bullying? We are allowed to pick any de..." Raina just realized something strange. "When did I talk to you my swan is a Peak Rank 1 Demon Beast." She was very happy since yesterday. Her demon beast was a Peak Rank 1 Demon Beast. While she would outgrow it someday, this swan would be stronger than most of her current bodyguards. It was also beautiful. Even better, she could ride the swan in the future. She only needed to ensure the swan grew closer to her first.

"I had known that Swan was a Peak Rank 1 demon beast." Trevon complained. "Just wait in 10 years my mouse will beat your swan."

"She called Baibai. There is no way a Snow Mouse could beat a Purple Pearl Swan, my Baibai." She declared to Trevon. She actually didn't care about the bet. She only wanted to beat Trevon.

"I would add the bet. If I lose 10 years later, you could order me anything once. You don't need to do anything for me. How about that?" Trevon said. He was actually the bully. How could a Demon lose to a Peak Rank 1 Demon Beast? His mouse was a fast and determined genius.

"Good! I don't think 10 years will be that long! I agree with your challenge. 10 years from now, find me in the Family Village! We will have the showdown there." Raina was sure she would win. She would be in the family village in the next 100 years for deep cultivation. She could order someone to represent her.

"Fine. My Nana will fight against your Baibai." Trevon picked a name on the spot. He wanted to taunt his scary elder sister. When else could he win against her?

"Nana? You! Let's this elder sister teaches you a lesson!" Raina started to hurl punches to Trevon.

"If I win, I would order to change your name to Vonvon." Raina gave her threat.

"Fine! If I lose I would be called Vonvon from then on." Trevon was sure he would win.

"Are you sure?" Raina felt Trevon was strange. A snow mouse was one of the common beasts in the ice mountain nearby. It must sneak into one of the rat farms near Icepeak Mountain before being brought with other common mice. [Did I hit him too hard? He becomes crazy? I need to tell this to father.] Raina gave a pitying look to Trevon.

"Yes. Who is afraid?" Trevon said. His mouse could perhaps reach the legendary Rank 4. [How many girls I could get with the legendary mouse as my servant?]

"Who would be your servant? A demon had its own dignity. In the entire universe, the only way to tame a Demon was by being stronger than the Demon." Master Rabbink said.

[Eh? Then this mouse shouldn't become a demon quickly.] Trevon thought.

"Fine. 10 years for now." Raina said. She harrumphed before returning to her room. This bad cousin of her made her annoyed.

"Let's go check its training!" Trevon said.
