49 McArthur Elder Assembly

Trevon started the day by practicing the '1.000 Holy Flashes' Earth level. He believed he had a bit of progress.

Trevon pressed the troublemeter for another fall. This time, he didn't know why he fell, but he fell. He spent another ten minutes to find the reason he fell.

[This could happen?] He was afraid of the troublemeter. Trevon didn't find any slippery water or any other slippery things.

"Perhaps you mess with some supernatural entity. Gwahahaha." The Rabbink knew, but it didn't tell Trevon.

"Hmph!" Trevon returned to his room. He took a bath and went outside at 09.00. Trevon also gave enough foods for the small rabbinks. While Nana was taken by him from his universe.

The young master didn't forget to leave some money to Aya for Uncle Bow's boxes.

Trevon couldn't meet his uncle since he had a meeting with Payne family. Therefore, he gave the light ball to Uncle Darvis in a jade box. He also got a package from his uncle.

Inside was a martial art manual and a letter of instruction. The family interested in the manual of Man, Earth, and Sky level knowledge. He could ask the money from the financial department since elder assembly had approved some budget for Trevon.

"This manual is broken." Master Rabbink commented.

[Could you repair it?] Trevon asked.

"Repair? This Rabbink will perfect it. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink laughed. "This couldn't be counted as a breakfast for this Rabbink."

Trevon entered the Universe Store using 'I Am A Customer' skill and sold the manual. He found the manuals on the dark element aisle. It was called Heaven Devouring Palm.

[Heaven Devouring Palm – Man]

[Description: This is the first level of Heaven Devouring Palm. This is a set of legendary palm techniques part of 5 Heaven Devouring Arts. Dark Monk, a master of the dark element path from the Thousand Art Universe created this art ten thousand years ago.]

[Selling Price: 6.000.000 Energy]

[What? It was that expensive?] Trevon was surprised.

"This is a powerful martial art." Master Rabbink said. "You will need to reach Rank 3 first before you could use the technique. Since this Rabbink had upgraded it. People bellow Rank 3 could use a part of its power. However, it wouldn't be as efficient as when a Rank 3 warrior used it."

Trevon purchased Man and Earth level of Heaven Devouring Palm. He needed more core energies for the Sky level.

[I only have very little core energy. When will the Redwood pay their compensation?] Trevon decided to get the money from the financial department. He requested 721.500 spirit stones to buy the light ball. While the number seemed much, it wasn't for a family like McArthur. Trevon had even got a budget of one million spirit stones

McArthur family had lots of business, the biggest one was in protection agency. In the dangerous world, this meant a big profitable business. Sixty percentage of trades in Heavenly Phoenix used the McArthur family's protection service. The family even had branches in Divine Arrow Kingdom, Earth Mountain Kingdom, and a few other countries.

It could be said other than being the greatest family in Heavenly Phoenix, the family was one of the five greatest families on the continent. If McArthur family decided to rebel to the imperial family, they could hire some Rank 4 warrior to destroy the country with family's wealth.

Trevon took those spirit stones and exchanged 666.000 spirit stones into core energy. He only needed to dump all those spirit stones to the purchasing counter. The currently poor young master saved the rest as the hard stones in his storage ring.

Trevon purchased the Sky level of Heaven Devouring Palm for the family. [This is the most expensive item in my possession.] This martial art was worth six hundred thousand spirit stones.

Trevon was very afraid of this. He didn't feel safe bringing expensive items in the road.

Trevon decided to just visit the gallery today. He made some repeats and asked his bodyguard to buy lunch and dinner for him. The treasure on his body was worth far more than all his allowance so far in his life.

After he finished the repetition, Trevon quickly returned to his house. Some fruit merchants celebrated the day by drinking in the winehouses.

Trevon sold the boxes from Uncle Bowman and fed the small rabbinks in his universe.

He spent the rest of the day by practicing '1.000 Holy Flashes' Earth level and reading some hero stories.

The next day, Trevon woke at 06.00 he quickly went to the family pavilion after he pressed the troublemeter and fed the small rabbinks in his universe.

"Is my uncle here?" Trevon asked for Charles to one of the attendants. "Yes, Elder Charles is in his courtyard."

Trevon quickly went to his uncle courtyard. He met with Darvis in the front of the courtyard.

"Good Morning, Young Master Trevon." Darvis greeted Trevon.

"Morning, Uncle Darvis. Is my uncle here?" Trevon asked.

"Yes, he was having his tea time when I saw him five minutes ago." Darvis answered.

"I will see him then." Trevon went into the courtyard.

He saw Charles was enjoying his tea while Raina was practicing in the courtyard.

"Trevon greets Uncle Charles." Trevon greeted his uncle.

"What about me?" Raina said to Trevon, she went from the courtyard to the porch.

"Hello, Elder Sister!" Trevon was impolite.

"You!" Raina was angry. She felt Trevon intentionally taunted her.

"Stop it!" Charles ordered Raina. "Focus on your training!"

"Hmph..." Raina returned to her training.

"These are the martial arts." Trevon took three jade boxes. Although the jade box costed some spirit stones, Trevon decided to use jade boxes to keep the product. He had already got some margin from the transaction.

"Is the master already made the light balls?" Charles was surprised. Since the family decided to use broken martial art. They believed the master would never be able to complete the art or at least he would take a long time to repair.

"Yes, Uncle. This martial art is called 'Heaven Devouring Palm'." Trevon said.

Charles was even more surprised. He had heard about 'Heaven Devouring Kick'. It was one of the secret martial arts of Heavenly Phoenix imperial family.

[I need to check the manual again.] Charles had already made some library employees to make three copies the manual. The three were one for safekeeping in the family library, one sent to the family village, and the last would be studied later.

"The smallest box is the Man level. This medium box is the earth level. The biggest box is the sky level." Trevon told his uncle about the packaging.

"This cost six thousand and five hundred spirit stones for the Man level." Trevon said.

"That is a bit more expensive than '1.000 Holy Flashes'." Charles commented.

"This martial art is stronger than '1.000 Holy Flashes'." Trevon explained. "The master believed this should suit a Rank 3 warrior, but lower level warrior also could use the technique."

"Oh, Ok." Charles was very thoughtful. The previous light ball has been tested to a guard who had mastered '1.000 Holy Flashes' at Earth level. However, Charles still hadn't read the report.

Charles poured Trevon a cup of tea while he thought about the manual.

"Is there anything the master comment about the manual?" Charles asked.

"Hm..." Trevon tried to remember what Master Rabbink said about the martial art. "Yes, the master said that he found some broken parts in the manual. So, he modified it. The reason lower ranked warrior could use the technique was because he also modified it. Normally only Rank 3 warrior could practice that."

"Broken Parts?" Charles acted like he didn't know.

"Yes. I don't know what, but it didn't affect the master." Trevon said. He also acted that he didn't know anything. Basically, he really didn't know anything. The lazy young master just sold the manual to the store and purchased a light ball.

"You said the master modified the technique. Is it safe?" Charles asked Trevon.

"I am really sure." Trevon was really sure. This came from Master Rabbink, other than troublemeter everything was safe.

"Ok. I will take the balls." Charles took the ball. He got another question to solve. The question was whether the technique inside the ball was real or not.

They continued to enjoy their tea. Finally, Trevon left the courtyard with a taunting gaze from Raina.

Trevon felt relieved after removing an expensive treasure. He took a breakfast in the dining hall, then visited the gallery. The lazy young master couldn't avoid the easy way of getting stronger.

At the same time in the McArthur Family pavilion.

The elder assembly was conducted again at this time. They discussed the progress of their negotiation with other families and the result of their test in the Redwood Forest.

"Then we will conclude the decision on the negotiation. We will order Elder Alvaro and Grand Elder Kleigh to continue the test." Charles made some conclusions from the meeting.

"I also got the news that the family leader group will increase their travel speed. We need to prepare to receive them in two or three days. Who will be responsible for their accommodations?" Charles asked.

"I suggest Elder Josephine. She had been with the family elder in the family village." Elder John opened with his suggestion.

"I agree with Elder John." Charles agreed. The other elders quickly followed.

"Elder Josephine, you will be responsible for the accommodations of the family leader and his group. Since it is a secret mission, they will not stay in the pavilion." Charles mentioned.

"Ok. I will prepare one of our hidden houses to host the leader and his group." Elder Josephine started to make her plan. The important point was that other family shouldn't know the group came to the city before the family secured their business.

"Then we will discuss the next important decision." Charles continued the discussion.

The other elders took another report on their tables.

"Trevon gave these three balls this morning." Charles said. He showed the three jade boxes in front of his uncle.

"This fast?" Elder Lorry was surprised.

"Elder Milla, do you know the name of the martial art inside the manual?" Charles asked.

"No. The manual didn't mention the name. The first page was destroyed when I purchased the manual." Elder Milla answered.

"Based on Trevon, the master said that it is 'Heaven Devouring Palm'." Charles said.

The elder assembly was in an uproar. The 'Heaven Devouring Kick' was a powerful secret technique of Heavenly Phoenix imperial family.

"Does this have a connection with 'Heaven Devouring Kick'?"

"I have heard the 'Heaven Devouring Kick' was a set of techniques."

"Is this a trap?" Elder Mante asked. If it was a 'Heaven Devouring' set some elders would be interested to purchase it. The family was afraid of the danger of having their elders under the control of the mysterious expert.

"The master might be from the imperial family." Josephine commented.

"The chance is small." John answered. "The Rank 4 warrior from the imperial family had never exited the capital. If he went outside the capital, there will be no defense if the country is attacked by other nations."

The rest of the elders nodded.

"I believed with Elder John judgment. If I am him, I will also pick another young master than Trevon." Lorry said. "There is little power that Trevon could impact the family."

"I only have this question in my mind." Charles said. "Is there any possibility of mind control in these balls?"

"The most important point is it wouldn't affect us if it is only our guards who learned from these balls." Elder Lorry commented. They didn't plan to use the ball for the genius blood-related elders.

"What about if this martial art is really 'Heaven Devouring Palm'?" Charles asked.

"I will be the first one to purchase the God level." One of the guardian elders said. He was a Rank 3 elder and also a martial art fanatic. This guardian elder usually kept silent during an elder assembly.

"Yes, if this martial art is similar to the one in Imperial Family, there would be many people who wanted to learn from this ball." John commented. "Even in the imperial family, at the best, they had people who reach Star level. Perhaps if they have some hidden experts, they could perform heaven level."

"This made me felt afraid this morning. If this is really 'Heaven Devouring' series, no elder could deny the temptation."

"What is the result of the test conducted?" Charles asked Elder Milla.

"The ball isn't an artifact. It is made from pure spiritual energy." Milla said his first finding. He started to share some documents for each elder. "I have tried to divide the ball, but it could not be done. If I use more power, I am afraid it will destroy the ball."

The other elders carefully read the report.

"I have also tried to use a Star level formation to check the inscription inside." Milla continued. "But the formation was destroyed instead. The ball had too many information."

The elders looked into each other. The formation destroyed was a big thing for them.

"However, we succeed to get some part of the information." Milla continued.

"What is this report?" Lorry started to complain after he opened the page about the energy ball's content.

"This is the first part of the encoded information. The formation was destroyed after this part." Milla almost cried when he conducted the test. A Star-level formation was very expensive and took some time to create.

"The report said Rabbink Rabbink Rabbink Rabbink Rabbink?" Charles was surprised.

Charles didn't need to read all the words on the page. It was a full page of Rabbink, Rabbink, Rabbink, and Rabbink word.

"The master plays a joke with us. He must know that we would check the content." Another elder said.

If he knew that the creator was a Rabbink. He would not be surprised. Rabbink only spoke the Rabbink language with only one word which was rabbink.

"Is this a joke?" John asked. "This is not funny."

"I have given the ball to a guard who had mastered '1.000 Holy Flashes' to Earth level." Elder Milla continued the explanation. "The guard reported that the technique was far different from the '1.000 Holy Flashes' that was circulated in the public."

"So, the ball is fake?" Josephine asked.

"No. The guard said that he found some information that would be useful to him. He believed he could increase his mastery of the skill. He also mentioned that he believed the skill on the ball was more powerful than the original.

"Have you checked the difference?" Charles asked.

"Yes. I have used a training formation to check the data when I asked him to perform '1.000 Holy Flashes'. I also find several other guards who studied the '1.000 Holy Flashes'. I put the report on page ten." Milla answered.

The elder opened the report to check the findings.

"The guard was still practicing the new martial art. However, preliminary data showed that it was two times stronger and one and a half times faster." Milla explained. "If we allow the guard to practice the technique more, I believe he will get an even better result. I still ask him to report the improvement daily."

"This is great." One of the elders said.

"I am started to get some interest to give the martial arts to our guards. We can put it in the discussion with the family leader."

"Good." John was fascinated with the result. "The master must be a very powerful martial art expert. He could not be an imperial family expert. The imperial family isn't that powerful." Other than the damage and the casting speed, the formation also recorded other improvements.

"So what improvement the master had put into the ball?" Lorry asked.

"This is the strange thing." Milla said. "I have scanned the guard before giving him the light ball."

Every elder nodded. This Elder Milla was a researcher, the methodology was good and scientific.

"After he received the light ball, he got some new knowledge but he couldn't say the knowledge."

"Eh?"

"What do you mean?" John was surprised.

"There seems to be a soul contract that prevents people to divulge the knowledge." Milla said. "However, I have used our most powerful formation scanner to check for any soul contract and I found nothing. If there is a contract, even if it was a God level contract, we could detect some spiritual sign. This formation was personally created by the Grand Elder for our branch twenty years ago."

"Is it a curse?"

"No. If there is a curse we could also find it with the formation." Milla defended his formation. "There are two possibilities. There is no contract or the contract came from higher Realm."

"What do you mean by higher realm?" Every elder had the same question. This was a shocking revelation for them.

"I believe the elder came from a higher realm." Elder Milla personally didn't believe his conclusion. "I have read the book from our ancestor. He said about a realm above our world that only selected people could enter."

"Do you mean the Immortal Realm?" Charles asked. This was a legendary realm that was even more legendary than Rank 4 warrior.

"Why is there an immortal in our town?" Josephine asked.

"This can't be. Immortal is only a legend." Lorry said.

"Then, we can conclude that there is no contract or curse but the person could not say the knowledge." Milla was not sure with his own words.

"Hm..." Some elders were lost in thought. They spoke to one another using spiritual sense.

The meeting turned into a disorder.

"Ehem... If he is an immortal, we need to focus on important questions. Who is he? Where did he come from? When did he come? Why did he come? How did he come?" Charles directed the discussion.

"The only strange thing happened in Redwood is the meteor." Lorry said.

"Then he came for the meteor or came using the meteor." John said.

"I don't think he came for the meteor, he told us about the mutated effect." Josephine said.

Every elder nodded. Their family would miss the effect if not because of Trevon's information.

"Then, if we consider the expert came using the meteor from immortal realm. We know when, where, and how he came." John said. "Who he is and why he came are still the questions."

"I will ask Trevon again." Charles said.

"This might be unbelievable. However, I remember Elder Milla had said that the inscription in Trevon's sword is an ancient inscription." Mante said.

"Yes." Milla answered. He remembered saying that in the elder assembly.

"If he is really an immortal, then the question is answered." Mante said. "It is no wonder that he made an inscription without using an encryption. It is because he comes from ancient time.

"The first-time encryption inscription used was a million years ago." Milla said.

"He must be an over one million years old immortal who came back from a higher realm." Even the guardian elders started to have some interest in the discussion. "Perhaps we could get some information about reaching the immortal realm from him."

"We are in the danger of assumption." Lorry said. He didn't believe in immortal.

"Then how could we deduce the ancient inscription on a new sword?" Mante defended his hypothesis

"If we consider that the expert was an immortal. What I am afraid of is the reason he came." Charles said. "For example, why we would move from Heavenly Phoenix to a weaker country?

"It is either because we find a prospect in the other country, or we face a destruction in Heavenly Phoenix, or we are ordered by some higher power." Josephine said.

"If it is the first reason, I believe this is a chance for our family." Charles said. The other elders nodded. If they could get close to the immortal they could enjoy the benefits.

"The third reason is something above our power. Someone who could order an immortal to go to lower realm must be a peak character in the realm above."

Elder Charles continued. "I hate to admit it, but we will just a passerby in the dangerous place if the peak characters are competing with one another. We will be lucky if we could stay away from them."

"This made me think about the second reason. What do you think if he ran away from the immortal realm?" Charles said.

"If his enemies didn't find him, we could enjoy his experience and pointers." John said. He wanted to show the other side of the same coin.

"If his enemies came, we will be in danger if we get too close." Lorry quickly said the other side of the same coin. An elder assembly allowed the family to get many points of views.

"I believe if we assume that he is an immortal, then we should maintain our distance." Charles said.

"But Trevon has already had some connections with the expert." Josephine mentioned his nephew.

"It is difficult." John said. "He would get lots of benefit for being close to the expert, but he might find some consequences if the expert had enemies. Since he has already had some connections, he could only try to maximize his gains. Our family could use him as the connection while we maintained the distance."

"I agree with that." Lorry said. The rest of the elder agreed.

"I believe it is fine if we could warn him. Perhaps, I will do it while I gather more information from Trevon." Charles said.

"I agree. You should talk to him. We should not make a position unless we got clear about the danger." John said.

"Let's us talk about this light ball!" Charles moved the discussion back to the topic. "What do you think of using this ball of light if the elder is an expert from immortal realm?"

"We simply conduct a business transaction with him." John said. "But if he is an immortal, then we don't need to afraid that he would put hidden contracts and curses. If he wants to be the king of Heavenly Phoenix, he could just destroy the entire imperial family. If he wants to destroy our family, he could go and destroy our family. If he wanted huge benefits, he could come and offer one word of protection, we would give him huge rewards."

"I have the same opinion as Elder John." Mante said. "The ball is outside our knowledge. If he wanted to destroy us, there is nothing we could do. So, I don't think he will use a cheap method like this to control us."

"We should be careful. We could try to test the Man level of the technique first." Lorry said his opinion. "We could try to compare the person who learns using the light ball and people who learn using the manual."

"We can ask another guard to use the light ball. However, who will check the manual?" Charles asked.

Several elders quickly raised their hand. If it was similar to the imperial family's secret art, only a very few could read the manual later. Some elders were martial arts fanatics, they wouldn't miss the chance.

"If this is really Heaven Devour Palm, we need to treat this as a secret martial art." John said.

"Trevon had said that the expert modified the art so people bellow Rank 2 could use the light ball. I believed this means only Rank 3 warrior could learn from the manual." Charles added some information.

"He modified it? In one day?" Milla was surprised.

"Yes."

"Then, I am surer of an immortal. The master must be not a common expert." Milla said. "I have the manual for almost one year, but I still couldn't practice the Man level." He admitted.

"This might be because this martial art requires a certain core. I heard the imperial family skill only could be learned by a Dark element warrior." John said.

"Then we can assume the requirement to read this manual was a Rank 3 warrior with Dark Core." Charles said.

"Who has these two conditions?" John asked.

Only one elder still raised his hand, he was one of the elder assembly protectors.

"Then, I will ask Grand Elder Reigh to check this manual." Charles gave the manual to the protector.

The old elder took the manual before he started to read it. "I will try to practice this quickly." He said

"Then, we will conclude this topic. I will ask Trevon for more information." Charles decided.

The elder finally ended the assembly. Most elders stayed in the room and continued to cultivate. Only elders with a responsibility that went outside the room to do their business.

Charles returned to his room. He quickly found Darvis, his trusted assistant. "We will need to find Trevon. Do you know where we could find him?"

"We could check his bodyguard daily report." Darvis answered.

"Good, you check the report for me." Charles gave his token. "Also prepare a carriage for me. I need to talk with him."

While Charles looked for him, Trevon was enjoying his lunch. He already got some money from his family. [I am rich. Hahahaha. I am rich.] The happy young master enjoyed an extravagant lunch.
