119 Martial Arts Inheritance

Trevon decided to pay the bard as soon as he returned from the dungeon. It would be troublesome if the bard sang a bad song about him.

"Where is my inheritance? Hahaha."

"..." Ragam looked into Trevon. He shook his head before disappeared.

Trevon was alone with Nana in the room.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Trevon chased toward the place Ragam disappeared.

However, the castle around him soon disappeared too. He was returned to the flower garden. A monolith was next to him. The sound of the river and the birds welcomed him back. Even the air brought the smells of flowers.

[Eh? I am back.] Trevon looked to his body. His injuries were gone. [My injuries disappeared?]

"That is only a fight in memory." Master Rabbink floated behind. "However, only the winner could return unharmed."

Trevon felt the cold sweat started to appear on his body.

"Squeak... Squeak..."

"Yeah! You are correct Nana. I won." Trevon continued toward a monolith.

[Ragam Phoenix Inheritance Test.]

[Congratulations for passing the test. You have the chance to learn my inheritance. Go forward never backward!]

[The test is over?] Trevon knew what he should do. He pressed his hand on the monolith.

The cool surface of the monolith signaled the start of a transferring. Everything around him blurred.

Trevon found it was a short movement. He arrived on a flat stage. The ground was a hard-black rock. Around the place was an endless desert. However, the stage was ten meters above the desert. Although a sun was shining brightly in the clear sky without any cloud, the temperature wasn't hot for a cultivator. The air was clear since the wind didn't carry the dust somehow.

The young master stepped on the ground. He then touched the flat land and knocked on it. [This felt real.]

"This is not a memory." Master Rabbink said.

Trevon found the place other than real was empty. The entire ground was solid. Somebody must intentionally make a flat stage on top of a stone mountain. Perhaps it was made by slashing a very large stone. However, it was strange since he could only see mountains of sands as far as he could see. [Where did the stone come?]

A monolith stood at the center of the flat land. Trevon walked toward the monolith and touched it.

[Ragam Phoenix Inheritance Test.]

[My successor must be like me. He must be a genius who capable to learn my martial arts fast. In this place, I have left the manuals for my inheritor. Each is a martial art that I have inherited from an inheritance or a martial art that I have created by myself. If you can manage to learn one of the martial arts to man level in one hour, I will give my final inheritance for you.]

Trevon took a spirit stone pouch. It turned lighter like usual.

"Trevon McArthur can test." Trevon heard the dungeon master's voice.

"BRAK!!!" Trevon heard a loud voice. Five slabs of stone fall toward the flat field.

"Hahaha. These are treasures." Trevon couldn't imagine he stood in front of five martial art manuals. Those martial arts weren't common ones since a Rank 4 warrior used them in the past. While they weren't Phoenix family martial arts, people would kill for any of them.

He looked toward the closest stone. However, when he walked just a single step.

"One hour." The dungeon master shouted again. An incense flew from the sky. It stabbed in the hard-stone field.

[How is this possible?] Trevon looked at the incense. A think wood stabbed on a thick stone.

[Focus! I have a time limit.] Trevon saw the long incense stick. He believed that stick would show the time for one hour.

[Wind Piercing Dash!] He dashed toward the nearest stone slab.

"Good luck!" Master Rabbink took his bamboo mat and enjoyed its picnic again. [The desert view wasn't bad. The spiritual energy in the dungeon is better.] It started by brewing a tea.

Trevon came before the stone slab. He read it.

[Haladie Hurricane Stance]

Under the name, Trevon found several paintings of the martial art movements. A man similar to Ragam showed and performed the movement. The picture showed the combo that should and could be done after every movement. Ragam showed when to stab and when to slash. How one could continue to attack, attack, and attack.

Trevon also saw two variations. The stones covered in the method to use one-weapon stance and two-weapons stance. More than that, this combination suit user from Rank 1 to Rank 4. Each rank had different movements, the stronger was harder and required more spiritual energy control.

Trevon realized that this weapon required the user to be aggressive. [This weapon is dangerous. I might get hurt from a wrong movement.]

He looked at the painting again. This weapon aimed at dealing hard to recover injuries. Each stab and slash would aim at fatally injured the enemy.

[It is hard to practice without a haladie.] He dashed toward the next monolith.

[Thousand Slice]

Trevon saw the movement that Ragam used to block him and attacking. Based on the stone tablet, the key to this martial art was channeling spiritual energy into the weapon. Ragam used this martial art to increase his attacking power. This martial art also gave Ragam the defense needed to reduce long-range attack.

The stone mainly focused on the diagram of energy flow. One had to channel their inner spiritual energy toward certain meridians. It also showed the spiritual energy path for a warrior with a core.

Trevon read on the monolith that Thousand Slice was a metal element martial art. He checked the detail more and found while he could learn the martial art. Only a Rank 3 or higher warrior could optimize this martial art.

[I can't learn this in one hour.] He went toward another stone slab.

[Miracle Phantom]

[This is the annoying technique.] Trevon thought. Ragam used this mystical martial art with 'Haladie Hurricane Stance' to hurt him. It was very hard when his opponent was too many and didn't fear death. He saw how spiritual energy should be moved to create a phantom of spiritual energy.

[Sigh… This is confusing.] Trevon couldn't understand the diagram.

He had to mix several elements to create a phantom. It wasn't as easy as what Ragam did. A little mistake and the phantom would disappear. However, based on the manual, the phantom was as powerful as the user.

Trevon knew he couldn't learn this. [Everything is difficult.] He went toward another monolith.

[Twin Explosion]

"Hahahaha!" Trevon laughed. This martial art was something that Trevon was looking for. He needed a powerful finisher martial art and he got it.

[Wait! He didn't seem to use any Phoenix Family martial art during the fight.] Trevon realized something.

However, he didn't dwell on that. He checked the manual again and followed the diagram. It mainly showed the movement of spiritual energy in the body. Twin Explosion martial art used a certain movement to draw the spiritual energy in the air. The resulting attack would be far stronger than the energy owned by the user.

Nevertheless, a fatal weakness was mentioned. The ability was a final attack. All energies on the user would be used to channel the large energy gathered.

[I think I can study this.] Trevon thought. He dashed toward the last monolith.

[Sun God Meditation Cultivation Technique]

The last was a cultivation technique, but Trevon wasn't too interested in this. Even Ragam himself didn't practice this martial art based on the stone block. It was an inheritance that was left in one of the inheritance dungeons. That Ragam conquered. However, he didn't put a copy in the Phoenix family.

[I will skip this.] Trevon didn't have any use for a cultivation technique. His Destiny Path was a cheating device. It was far faster than any martial art he knew. As long as he had a table, he would become stronger.

[Hm...] Trevon thought of something. "Hey! Do I have to master it now?" He asked.

"Final Inheritance." The dungeon master answered.

"Are you serious? How can one master a technique this fast?" Trevon saw the incense stick had been reduced by around one a twelfth.

"Stay long you want."

"Gwahahaha. Do you think it is easy to get the final inheritance?" Master Rabbink laughed. "Besides, out of five martial arts, one would pick what they could. The rest would be given to other inheritors. You can only learn what you can. Do not bite more than what you can chew!"

"Hm..."

"Can I take everything?"

"If can." The dungeon master answered again.

Trevon sat before the Miracle Phantom stone slab. While he wanted Twin Explosion, this was the key ability which made Ragam hard to defeat. He also wanted to become a ninja. The young master had read many ninja stories in the novel reading app.

[I will master this. Then I would upgrade this martial art so I could transform the form of sexy ladies next. Hwehwehwe.] He followed the method to channel spiritual energy.

"Ugh..." Trevon felt his body wet from the sweats. He tried to channel as the one described on the diagram, but he couldn't pass a certain spiritual point.

[This is hard.] He looked toward the incense stick. [Twin Explosion! I have to start from that.]

The young master went toward the 'Twin Explosion' stone slab. His eyes followed the diagram while his body tried to control the spiritual energy based on the manual. But he failed again. He felt the hot energy gathered in both of his hands but nothing appeared.

"Gah! Huf Huf Huf!" Trevon felt he was tired. He threw his body to his back. He looked toward the sky.

"Squeak..." Nana talked to Trevon. So far, the mouse only watched her master tried to practice. She almost fell asleep from idleness.

"What?"

"Squeak... Squeak..."

"You want to go back to the secret place?"

"Squeak..." Nana sent an agreement signal. She wanted to manage her new subordinates.

"Fine." Trevon transferred Nana back to his universe.

[One hour is impossible. Should I stay in this place until I master those martial arts?] The young master felt a bit hurried. He was only visiting Goldcave for a short time.

[I can't wait in here for too long.] He thought. [My future fiancée is in the capital.]

Trevon was in a dilemma. In front of him was a treasure trove on the other side was his fiancée.

[Should I make her wait?] Trevon knew his family would allow a young generation to miss the tournament for a valid reason. Taking an inheritance was more than a valid reason. Especially if he shared the martial arts with his family.

If he managed to get any of these martial arts, his future would be bright. He had experienced these martial arts first hand. Each could become an ace for a high-rank warrior.

[No. She won't wait. I have to focus. What should I do?] Trevon looked into the stone slab in front of him. Out of the five slabs, he wanted Miracle Phantom and Twin Explosion the most.

He returned again to Miracle Phantom slab.

[Should I make a portal here? I should try that. Hehehe.] Trevon made a portal and checked that it was working.

[Hahaha. I am a genius. I could back to this place anytime.] Trevon felt proud with his idea.

"Yeah! However, people can come here and claimed the inheritance while you go. After the final inheritance was claimed, all would disappear." Master Rabbink told Trevon. It still enjoyed its picnic.

Trevon couldn't accept that. [That can't do.]

He looked toward the stone slab again. Treasure Snatcher Trevon couldn't leave a treasure before him. Especially since it was a legendary inheritance.

He moved between those stone slabs and thought of something.

"You should focus and practice this one by one. Gwahahaha. A strong foundation will make a strong building."

Trevon only looked at the picnic mat of the Rabbink. The tea smelled really fragrant.

"What?" Master Rabbink didn't feel good with Trevon's gaze. Even Jack and Jerry didn't like being gazed by Trevon. "I won't share this tea with you. You must climb the tallest mountain on your planet if you want to unlock this tea."

"No. I get an idea. Hehehe." Trevon stood in front of the monolith. "I should bring this to my universe. Hahaha."

Trevon touched the stone slab for Miracle Phantom and used his portal warping.

"It works." Trevon returned back to the mountain.

Master Rabbink was speechless. This was a robbery. However, the dungeon master wouldn't allow that.

"What you do?" The dungeon master's voice was heard.

"You have said that I can take everything!" Trevon remembered the Dungeon Master had allowed him to take everything before.

"I..." The dungeon master couldn't refute Trevon. A dungeon master word was binding.

"I have asked you before. Now I want to take everything." Trevon went toward the other stone slab and took them one by one.

"..."

"Yes. I have got everything. Hehehe." Trevon felt satisfied. He returned after taking the last stone slab. The young master clapped his hands removing any dust from them.

Master Rabbink pretended it didn't know Trevon. This shameless apprentice God even robbed an inheritance.

Trevon didn't stop at that. Especially since he knew there was a final inheritance. "I have the stone slabs with me. No one else except I can practice the martial art. You should give the final inheritance for me. Hehehe."

"One hour. Perform martial art get final inheritance." The dungeon master's voice was heard.

"Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink knew the Dungeon Master taunted Trevon about the final inheritance.

"I have the stone slabs with me. Only me who can practice the martial art. Only I can get it."

Suddenly the Dungeon Master materialized five stone slabs again.

"What? You can do that?"

"Hahaha." The Dungeon Master laughed. He found this greedy young master was interesting. "Friend close finish."

"What? Ugh..." Trevon felt more pressure. He walked toward the newly created monolith. [If Ainsley can, I also can do it.]

"New rule!"

Trevon saw a light coming from the monolith.

You can't take the manuals from here. If you can manage to learn one of the martial arts to man level in one hour, I will give my final inheritance for you.]

"You!" Trevon felt angry. He wanted to keep bringing the monolith out. In the future, he would check this place often and bring as many stone slabs outside.

[I can't take it... What should I do?] He thought of something.

"Ah! Why didn't I think about this earlier?" He smashed his right hand into his left palm. "Hahaha. Cheating rules is my specialty!"

"..."

He went toward the Miracle Phantom slab.

"Can not take!" Dungeon Master reminded Trevon.

"No. I will stay in here." Trevon pretended to look into the stone slab. He touched the stone slab again.

[Welcome to Universe Store!] Trevon saw Auto floated to him.

"I want to sell this monolith." Trevon pointed to the stone slab that he brought.

"Yes. Customer wanted to sell 'Miracle Phantom Stone Slab Manual'. Please confirm!"

"Yes. Hahaha."

Auto quickly beamed her blue light toward the stone slab. The best bot in the entire universe could bring it with her.

"Item obtained. Customer can wait in the VIP room like usual." Auto floated with the heavy stone slab toward the mall.

"Hey! Are you cheating?" Trevon heard Master Rabbink's voice from the supermarket's speakers.

"I only wanted to sell a martial art manual! Do not forget to perfect it! Hahaha." Trevon went toward the VIP room.

Auto came to VIP Room and reported that she had sold the manual.

"Good! I want to buy that manual. Bring me the man level!"

Trevon saw a panel appeared.

[Miracle Phantom – Man]

[Description: This is the first level of Miracle Phantom. Using earth, water, and wind elements in the air, you make a controllable phantom which would act based on your order. Number of phantom summoned: 1.]

[Selling Price: 6.000.000 Energy]

Auto purchased the manual and brought a light ball.

"Wow! Hahaha." Trevon felt he touched a treasure. For someone like him who won by number, he enjoyed this martial art the most. His fighting against Ragam had opened his eyes. Everyone had a style. The young master didn't need to think twice to purchase this martial art.

Trevon touched the ball toward his head. He found new information on his head. The young master learned many things in a short while.

"Good! Hahaha. So that is. I miss it on this step." Trevon found out why he failed to use the martial arts before.

[Miracle Phantom!] He used the technique.

"Gah!" Trevon felt his spiritual energy drained. [How could Ragam summoned eight phantoms?]

In front of Trevon was a phantom that looked similar to him. [This is really cheating. This phantom is too similar to me.] He compared himself with the phantom. Even the robes were replicated. The material was similar to the one Trevon wore.

"…" Trevon looked toward the phantom for five minutes. He walked around the phantom. Sometimes he touched his phantom. [This feels real. His skin is as jadelike as mine.]

"Hahaha. I am handsome. Really the number one young master." Trevon nodded after he finished appreciating the phantom. [Did he have that?] He went to pull the pant.

"What? You! You are wasting time there." Master Rabbink shouted from the speaker. A fist materialized above Trevon.

"Wait! Wait! I am practicing using this phantom."

"Hm…" Trevon looked at the phantom. In his head was the method to make the phantom moved.

[This is hard.] Trevon thought. He had to control the spiritual energy to ensure he could keep the phantom. Keeping the phantom stationery for five minutes actually consuming his spiritual energy. [He must be aggressive since it is hard to keep this phantom for longer than ten minutes.]

"Hm…" Trevon tried to make the phantom walk. The phantom raised his left leg. However, that was too high, the phantom tripped and fall.

"Prank!" Trevon heard a voice similar like a vase cracking.

"AWWWWW!!!" Trevon shouted. He fell toward the floor and turned left and right from the pain. [Gah! Gah! Gah! The pain is real. This feels like a strong power pulled the body into pieces.] Trevon needed three minutes to lose the pain.

He felt his body wet from the sweat. "This is a masochist!"

Trevon had to use fire elements to dry his body. Else he would get cold since the artifact called air conditioner made the room cold.

[How could Ragam stand the pain? Is he a Masochist?] Trevon sat after he recovered some energy.

"Brak!" Master Rabbink had to give its love fist.

"Aw!" Trevon touched his head again.

"He had practiced the art for thousand years. The pain is only in your mind. If you are strong, you can handle the pain."

Trevon couldn't believe his most wanted technique was this bad. [I got a wrong inheritance.]

He returned outside after recovering his spiritual energy further.

"Where you take?" The dungeon master's voice welcomed Trevon.

"Wait! You are slandering me. I don't take the stone slabs."

"You touch it disappear."

"Do you want me to swear that I don't take it?" Trevon asked.

"…"

Trevon went toward the next stone slab. This time it was the Twin Explosion. He touched it and the stone slab disappeared again.

The young master opened his eyes and went toward another stone slab. All five stone slabs disappeared again.

"You take them." The dungeon master didn't know how Trevon managed to take those stone slabs. This was the second ones. He was really sure the stone slabs were very heavy. People couldn't bring them into a storage ring. However, the law didn't eject Trevon from the dungeon.

"No. I took the first set, but I didn't for the second one. You can ask your boss!"

"Master! He took them?" The dungeon master was forced to ask to the Rabbink.

"Erm… He didn't take them away. He sold them." Master Rabbink felt a bit pity to the innocent Dungeon Master. His dungeon was found by a Treasure Snatcher.

"See? I still did it under your rules. Hahaha."

"…"

The Dungeon Master added a new rule to the monolith in the center of the flat field. "Can not sell!"

You can't take or sell the manuals from here. If you can manage to learn one of the martial arts to man level in one hour, I will give my final inheritance for you.]

"Hehehe." Trevon already sold the stone slabs. He didn't need to sell them again.
