114 Making Rules

"What will you do?" Master Rabbink could read Trevon's thought.

[You know the answer. Hehehe.] Trevon laughed.

"I know you are here. Help me summon a crystal fox or some female golden elves. Else, I will fight seriously in your dungeon. You haven't seen me getting serious. Hehehe."

"Remember, a dungeon master may kick you out or even attack you if you go against the rule." The Rabbink took a strange chicken wing

[Everything is free as long as it isn't against the rule, right? I am only trying to solve this maze.]

"Hm…" Master Rabbink could only nod. A dungeon master was a creature of rules.

Trevon walked returned toward an alley. [Since I can't shout. I can do this, right?] He knew the dungeon master must watch him.

Trevon took some blazing talismans from his storage ring.

[Hehehe.] He ran and activated the blazing talismans.

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

"…"

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

A dwarf silhouette looked at Trevon and his antics. Trevon ran toward the path that he had walked and threw many talismans. The dungeon master could see his creatures flew and ran in panic. This chaos destroyed some demon beast lairs.

[…] He looked toward the damage on the dungeon wall and shook his head. The dungeon master waited for Trevon's talismans to run out. Nevertheless, the young master could activate the talisman for thirty minutes.

[…] Thirty minutes later, the dwarf dungeon master stroked his beard and frowned, but still did nothing. He waited for another thirty minutes. However, the young master still continued to bombard the dungeon.

[This stop.] The dungeon master thought. He went toward a monolith and put an additional rule.

[12. No Talisman Usage in the maze area.]

The dungeon master smiled and sent the updated monolith. One appeared in front of Trevon while another appeared in front of Ainsley.

"What is this?" Trevon read the new rules. "No. You can't do this! Your rule number 7 stated no limit on equipment and external items."

The dungeon master frowned. He looked again and took the monolith back and removed the newly added rules. A new monolith without that rule reappeared again in front of Ainsley and Trevon.

[What is this?] Ainsley wondered. He couldn't believe the dungeon removed the new rules as fast as he made them.

Trevon continued to run and created chaos on the dungeon.

The dungeon master looked at the damage on the dungeon. His heart felt pained that his dungeon was destroyed. At this rate, he believed his dungeon would change from a maze into a flat field.

Suddenly a light appeared in his eyes.

[12. You can't destroy the dungeon walls, floors, and roofs.] The dungeon master looked happy with his new rule. He sent the monolith again.

"What? This can't do!" Trevon complained. "You put a demon beast here! Weapons and martial arts don't have eyes?"[He wanted to protect this dungeon. Hehehe.] This gave Trevon more idea.

The dungeon master nodded. He agreed with the human answer. Controlling martial arts and weapons would greatly increase the test difficulty.

[12. You can't destroy the dungeon walls, floors, and roofs except during a fight.]

The dungeon master added new rules.

Trevon and Ainsley read it.

"Ugh! I feel a demon beast here." Trevon continued throwing his blazing talismans. "It must use invisibility."

[…] The dungeon master looked at the young master who kept attacking empty spaces. His frown grew larger.

[13. No Invisible Demon Beasts on maze area.]

Trevon and Ainsley saw a new monolith appeared.

"Hm…" Trevon thought. He couldn't pretend an invisible opponent attacking him. [Hehehe.]

He walked forward. However, he didn't light the torches. Instead, he took a long cloth and covered his ear.

"I hear something from the front!" Trevon shouted before he bombarded the hall in front of him.

[…] The dungeon master looked at another hall destroyed. He calculated the repair cost.

The dungeon master shook his head. He flicked his hand and some rock golems appeared. The golem quickly lighted the torches while the dungeon master lighted the torches near Trevon and Ainsley.

[Eh? This place suddenly lighted!] Trevon saw the result of his talisman bombing. The hall in front of him was destroyed beyond measure. A monolith appeared with a new rule.

[14. You can't cover your ear.]

Ainsley was speechless while he read the new monolith. He had already felt some shock when the maze suddenly turned bright. The child of God had stood guard in case an enemy lighted the torches.

[What happens?] He didn't know such a strange rule. [Why should I cover my ear? That is dangerous during a dungeon exploration.]

Trevon also read the monolith. With the bright dungeon, he could no longer pretend not to see the enemies in darkness.

[Hm… Hehehe.] The young master wouldn't give up. He controlled water elements and extinguished the torches.

The dungeon master was near Trevon when it happened. He used his control to light the torches again.

[You are here!] Trevon thought. He continued to extinguish the torches. While humming 'golden elves' words nonstop.

[…] The dungeon master quickly wrote in his monolith again.

Ainsley was about to continue his adventure when a monolith appeared before him.

[14. You can't extinguish the torch.]

[Who would do that?] Ainsley wondered. While demon beasts could hide in the fire, they were rare. It was always better to have the torch lighted since he could see a longer distance.

Trevon also read the new rule. [This is not over.] He started to think again.

"Good! I will be serious." He faced a wall. "There must be a secret passage behind it." Trevon activated a talisman and placed it next to the wall.

He walked a bit farther and knocked on the wall. "This is it. A secret passage." He activated some talismans before walked again.

The young master repeated the same thing every ten meters. After some blasts, the young master pretended to check.

"Sigh! Nothing." Trevon shook his head. "I will hit the jackpot one day."

[…] The dwarf looked toward his dungeon. Trevon almost made new tunnels in the maze.

[15. You can't blast a secret passage. There is a hidden switch to open the secret passage.]

Ainsley looked at the new rules. [Everybody knows this. Who would do that? Everyone would try to find the switch. Blasting a door would waste so many spiritual energies. Did this dungeon master want to teach the basic?] He shook his head and continued to venture deeper.

Trevon was thinking about how he could use the talisman. He looked at the talisman in his hand.

The young master shook his head and instead quickly took a gong. He had duplicated this instrument in Universe Store. It was very cheap, he could get many gongs for one spirit stones.

Trevon tested and punched one with his full power.

"DOOOONG!!!" Trevon felt his body jolted from the sound.

[…] The dungeon master looked at the new instrument. The noise would disturb himself and the beast.

Trevon smiled and took the other gongs. He put them in a row and smiled.

[…] The dungeon master could imagine what would happen. He stroked his beard again. His eyes sparkled.

The dwarf dungeon master wrote on the monolith and sent it before Trevon could ring his gongs.

[12. You can't play any gong.]

"What? I am not playing." Trevon complained. "This is using a gong to make a loud noise so the demon beast couldn't communicate with each other."

The dungeon master couldn't accept that. That wasn't fighting and tested an inheritor, but a scaring tactic. He couldn't accept that and wrote something on the monolith.

Two new monoliths appeared again.

[12. You can't make any loud noise.] He smiled with his new rule. He should make it in the first place.

"Hey! What if I want to call my friends." Trevon complained.

[12. You can't make any loud noise. Maze area is a single person test.] The dungeon master quickly his rules.

Trevon couldn't find any reason to use noise to get the attention of the dungeon master. [I will change the method. Hehehe.]

While Trevon was serious, the other handsome young master felt confused. Ainsley just walked a bit and a new monolith appeared. Although he had read the rules could be updated during the test and every challenger would be informed. It seemed like the monolith always appeared every fifty meters.

At another dungeon instance, Trevon rolled up his sleeves. A bright idea just appeared from his mind. "Hehehe. Do not worry! I will be serious. For golden elves!"

The young master took a brush and some ink from his storage ring. He started to write.

"Trevon is here!"

"Trevon is handsome!"

"Trevon loves beautiful ladies!"

"Beautiful Babes! I love you!!!"

"Master Rabbink is annoying!"

"Hwehwehwe."

The dungeon master kept silent. He read those words. It was a new knowledge for him. Sometimes he looked at the young master and to the writing.

[He didn't complain?] Trevon still wrote some sentences. [I will make it bigger.]

Trevon went toward his universe. Master Rabbink was eating a chicken wing so it was delayed a bit.

"NEIGGHHH!!!" An angry voice welcomed Master Rabbink when it followed Trevon to his universe.

An angry alogo looked at Trevon. Its eyes showed a disbelieve as if asking "Why did you do this, Bro?"

"This is important." Trevon easily pressed the red alogo and pulled his tail hairs. "I only borrow this from you. You don't want me to borrow it from your ladies, right?"

Ajax cried. He couldn't refute. As a gentlehorse, he couldn't allow his harem to experience losing their tail hairs.

"Neigh!" He voiced his complaint.

"I have helped you to get a harem. Now it is your turn to help me get a golden elf. Hwehwehwe."

"NEIGH!!!" Ajax screamed. Trevon pulled his tail hairs again.

"Oh! You are right. I can use my sword to cut it. Hahaha." Trevon smiled.

"NEIGH!!!" A horse scream happened. Ajax turned one shade paler. He almost became the first pink alogo.

"Sorry, that is a bit too close. Hahaha. I will return these soon. You are a good brother." Trevon smiled and patted the almost pink alogo. He took a one-meter branch and tied the tail hairs.

"Are you serious?" Master Rabbink told Trevon. "Nobody ever vandalized on a dungeon wall."

"I will be the first who do that. Also, this isn't a vandalism. I only made some marking on a dungeon." Trevon returned to the dungeon. He took a vase and poured some ink that he purchased from universe store to the vase.

The dungeon master looked at the new tools on Trevon hand. He only nodded. While he had a certain aesthetic, he had read in the manual that an adventure sometimes left a mark on a maze. It was easy to send some golems to remove those marks later.

However, the next fifteen minutes turned into a disaster. It would require many golems to clean these huge sentences. Perhaps it would be faster to make a new dungeon than cleaning all the words.

[14. You can't write on the dungeon walls, floors, and roofs.]

Trevon looked at the new rules. He had prepared for this. The young master changed from writing into drawing. However, the Great Painter intentionally drew vulgar paintings.

The dungeon master almost vomited blood. Every dungeon master would be embarrassed with vulgar paintings on his or her dungeon. He quickly rewrote the rules.

[14. You can't write or draw anything on the dungeon walls, floors, and roofs.]

"Hey! How could I make my marker if you don't allow me to stroke on the wall!" Trevon complained.

The dungeon master knew it would be hard to do a maze without a marker, but he couldn't allow the challenger to deface his dungeon.

Ainsley also read the new rules. He also made a marker on the wall to indicate a path that he had taken. The new rules made thing difficult for him.

"Sigh…" He shook his head and took a larger scroll. He made a drawing of the maze while he walked. This slowed him.

The dungeon master nodded at him. [Smart human.] He looked again to Trevon. [Disaster.]

"Hey! I need to make a marker. You didn't allow me to draw one?!!!" Trevon complained.

"This new rule had become part of the test. He won't change it." Master Rabbink explained.

[So… He wants to keep this rule.] The young master didn't lose the idea. "I will make physical markers."

He took a wine cask and sold it to Universe Store then emptied one.

"Don't tell me you will sell an empty cask to my store!" Master Rabbink also turned pale. However, the white Rabbink couldn't turn whiter.

"You are smart. I need a mark." Trevon smiled after Auto took the cask.

"No… Wait! You can't do this. The dungeon master could easily remove physical thing. He might use the empty cask as the rewards for other adventures."

"Who would make a cask as a reward?" Trevon didn't believe. He asked Auto to purchase more cask for him.

Master Rabbink could only eat in anger. At least the products that Trevon sold before were luxury daily needs or foods. This time, it was an empty cask. The Rabbink couldn't image its store fall this low.

Trevon returned to the dungeon and dumped the empty casks on the dungeon.

However, the dungeon master didn't care. He could absorb the cask easily. The dwarf dungeon master even enjoyed the smell of wine as the dwarf taste affected him. [Want wine.]

Trevon kept taking more and more casks filling the dungeon with it.

[He didn't complain?] Trevon didn't get his monolith even after he disorganized those wine casks.

[Gr… I have to up my games.] The young master smiled.

He took a large jar of water from his universe and took the sullen Ajax from his universe.

"Drink this!" Trevon pointed the large jar to Ajax.

The fire alogo shook his head.

"Do this and I will give more female alogos for every ten jars!"

Ajax looked at the large jar and shook his head. While he wanted more female alogo, the jar was too large.

"I will summon another male alogo for every jar, you don't drink!" Trevon pointed to the jar.

"Neigh!!!" Ajax quickly drank the jar.

"Good horse! Drinking water is good for health!" Trevon smiled.

The dungeon master strangely looked at Trevon. He wondered what would happen next. Drinking water in a dungeon was normal.

However, a few minutes later. A horse with a full bladder was whipped by Trevon around the dungeon. Ajax peed everywhere to the horror of the dungeon master.

The dungeon master quickly thought of an idea. He built some toilets in the dungeon.

[11. Use toilets for biological duties.]

Trevon couldn't image the dungeon master really made some toilets. Ajax dumped Trevon and ran toward one of them. The male red alogo answered his nature calling in one of them. It was even large enough for a demon beast like him.

[He really wanted to fight until the last breath!] Trevon thought.

The next one hour was a fight between a disaster and a dungeon master.

[15. You can't carve or sculpt anything on the dungeon walls, floors, and roofs.]

[52. You can't release Redwood Big Spider in this dungeon.]

[52. You can't release outside animal or demon beasts in this dungeon.]

[53. You can't destroy the dungeon mini ecosystems.]

[63. You can't plant stone devouring moss in this dungeon.]

[63. You can't plant stone devouring moss or redwood forest giant blazing tower Tree in this dungeon.]

[63. You can't plant any plant in this dungeon.]

[77. You can't dismantle the dungeon's wall.]

[77. You can't dismantle the dungeon.]

[77. You can't dismantle or transfer the dungeon.]

The dungeon master even quickly made a rule even before Trevon could affect the dungeon. He even used mind reading to prevent thing turned into danger.

The rules turned absurd.

[153. You can't make a kitchen in the dungeon.]

[154. You can't cook using the dungeon.]

[209. You can't install any human trap in the dungeon. This is a solo dungeon.]

[210. You can't build a fortress in the dungeon.]

Then the rules went personal.

[354. You can't play salon in the dungeon.]

[444. You can't choke a chicken in the dungeon.]

[531. You can't breathe loudly.]

[623. You can't use a spiked hairstyle.]

[754. You can't dance in the dungeon.]

[755. You have to walk normally in the dungeon.]

[863. You can't smile nonstop in the dungeon.]

While Trevon and the dungeon master fought, another person was distressed. Ainsley saw the monoliths appeared nonstop. It was no longer enough for a monolith. The dungeon master needed five monoliths to write the rules. With the disturbance, he could no longer try to find an inheritance.

Ainsley couldn't fully read the rules before the dungeon master took the monolith and replaced with new rules.

It continued until the monolith turned into ten monoliths. The dungeon master almost wanted to make a golden elf portal for Trevon.

The dwarf looked toward his long list of rules. At the same time, Trevon also read the rules. With the long list of rules, even Trevon had to read carefully as he could get kicked from the dungeon.

The dungeon master wanted to kick the young master from the dungeon, but Trevon had not gone against the rules.

The dungeon master stroked his beard and frowned. He wanted to find how to prevent this young master from entering his dungeon ever again. This first rule that any species accepted didn't allow him to prevent Trevon from participating in the dungeon.

He frowned until he read the eighth rule. A big smiled appeared on his stoic face. The dungeon master nodded happily. He looked at Trevon.

Trevon was reading the monolith when he saw a large group of mouse-type and bats-type demon beast came toward him. They even filled the entire dungeon.

[He can do that?] Trevon screamed in his heart and quickly ran toward the other direction.

While Trevon ran, Ainsley was confused. He read the long list of rules. While some rules were the dungeon master responses to the disasters in the dungeon. Some rules were the counter attacks.

[455. You have to wear three robes.]

[563. You have to bark one time every twenty minutes.]

Ainsley couldn't believe the rules he read. He tried to remember the rules and this delayed his adventure.

The next thirty minutes were Trevon running and demon beast chasing him. He ran a bit and bark. [That is twenty minutes.]

Trevon ran from one passage into another he even lost the portal that he had made before. He couldn't think where he was, but where he could run. The beasts would retreat when he took talisman, but they could block the passage for him.

What made Trevon frustrated was the counter attacks from the dungeon master. He had to do some silly things after a certain duration.

[I have to jump like rabbit two times.] He counted another duration.

[I won't lose.] The young master thought of the challenge. [I will be the one who has the last laugh.]

Trevon finally arrived at a huge hall. However, the passage suddenly disappeared after he entered the room.

[Did he trap me?] Trevon checked the disappeared passage. He knocked on the wall where the passage disappeared, but he couldn't find any sign of an empty passage behind the wall.

"Hey! You can't cheat like this. This is actively trapping me."

"…" However, the dungeon master didn't answer. [Haha. Success.] He thought.

[Sigh… I have to check this room.] Trevon thought. He turned his body to check the room more carefully.

[Eh? What is this?] He saw a pyramid in the center of the hall. The pyramid was small. Only one meter long and one meter wide. It was also one meter tall.

"This is one of the inheritances in this dungeon." Master Rabbink said.

"Is this the main inheritance?" Trevon asked. He couldn't believe he would find an inheritance on his first dungeon adventure. [Is this a beginner's luck? Hehehe.]

"This Rabbink couldn't tell you. Meeting this inheritance is your destiny. Somehow the dungeon master thought you had a trait that suits this inheritance. This is part of the test. Your luck will decide your reward. Use the escape talisman if you want to surrender."

"This isn't dangerous, right?" Trevon asked.

"There is no truly safe dungeon." Master Rabbink said.

"How do I start this?" Treasure Snatcher Trevon might be a coward, but he also couldn't reject the chance to get an inheritance. He felt confident with his battle power.

"You have to find it yourself. Gwahahaha."

"Gah! Look! I will solve this." Trevon turned around the pyramid. He touched here and there, trying to find a hidden switch.

Trevon spent thirty minutes, pressing thing here and there. He even looked around, knocked around, groped around, and kicked around. But nothing happened.

[This is mine. Mine. Mine.] He tried his aura again.

"You haven't refilled your young master aura. Gwahahaha." Master Rabbink was taking a tea set and enjoyed some chicken wings from God knew where.

[Ugh! The time for playing harsh.] Trevon took his Dark Demon Slayer from the storage ring. As a treasure snatcher, he was this close to an inheritance.

[Roaring Eagle Sword Combination!]

"Clink!"

"Clank!"

"Clink!"

"Whoa! This item is strong." Trevon couldn't see even a scratch mark.

"What are you doing?" Master Rabbink sipped its tea.

"I want to check whether I have to destroy it." The young master frowned and thought about what he should do.

"Good luck! Gwahahaha."

"Hey! Give me a clue?" Trevon tried to scream to the dungeon master.

"..."

"Ah! This is boring." Trevon felt a bit tired and sat on the pyramid. His weight pressed the pyramid down.

"EH?" He tried to jump, but the ground had turned into a big hole.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Trevon fall to the hole and another sound followed. "Bruk!!!"

"AWWWWWW!!!" He felt he fell into something sharp below and rubbed his painful buttocks. Trevon drank a physical recovery pill to recover.

"That might be twenty meters. This is a real trap!" Trevon shouted, but of course, the dungeon master wouldn't answer his complaint.

[What should I do?] He couldn't see anything. It was a total darkness.

Trevon took a shining pearl! "GWAAAAAAAAA!!!" He jumped backward.
