1 A Disaster

This is a story of one of my million pupils. In a small mortal planet lived a young man. His name is Trevon McArthur. If you want to know what people knew about Trevon, it is one simple word "disaster".

Let's skip the child parts of his story, nobody loved to hear the crying baby. We should begin when he was 15 years old, the time when he and I met for the first time. Ok, that is a half lie. Let's start a week before our meeting!

A 2-story wooden wagon was pulled by 4 big animals which looked like a common red horse. But they were 3 times bigger and their muscles were more defined. They were called Flame Alogo, a Primary Rank 1 demon beast. These demon beasts were often used to pull human transport wagon. It was because of their high stamina and decent speed.

In the front seat of the wagon, there were 2 people, one young and one old. The young one was very handsome, the beautiful handsome kind of man, with blue eyes, dark hair, and pale white skin. He wore a beautiful light blue robe with a dark blue border which shown his noble background. On the other hand, the old man with a long beard wore a simple gray robe.

"Uncle Cyde, I am very bored. Is Redwood city still far from here?" The young man complained to the old one, while simultaneously he played with the Flame Alogo tail.

As a frequent Asian web-novel reader, you must have guessed it, and you are correct. He was Trevon McArthur. I won't describe a character in one extra sentence and he was a supporting character, right?

"Young Master, it is still 1 hour from here. After we cross the next mountain, you can see the city. If you feel that it was boring, why don't you try to sleep in the upper cabin? I promise we would have reached the city when you wake up." The old man answered while pulling the Alogo lead rope.

"HUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Suddenly one of Flame Alogos screamed. It jumped and ran faster than the other Alogos.

"What happens?" Some shocked voice sounded from inside the wagon.

Cyde, the old man, calmly reacted fast. He whipped the other three Alogos to increase the other three's speeds and quickly slashed the air with his bare hand. A light blue glow appeared for an instant before the rope connecting the wagon and the frenzy Flame Alogo cut.

While this required 40ish words to describe, this happened in an instant, like in the usual web-novel description.

The frenzy Flame Alogo continued running and separated from the wagon. At the same time from the second floor of the wagon, a silhouette jumped from the wagon's window. After touching the ground for an instant, the silhouette flew to top the frenzy Flame Alogo.

The silhouette was a man that looked slightly older than Trevon. He wore a beautiful black robe with numerous beautiful golden shields embedded on it. His face looked 60% similar to Trevon, and even more beautiful, but had a different charm from Trevon. He had a manly and mature aura from his body.

Finding out someone on top of it, the Flame Alogo crazily jumped, twisted, and sometimes kicked the air using all its four legs. The wagon stopped not far from the battle between the Flame Alogo and the silhouette. From the wagon, 6 men appeared. 2 of them had bandages on their body.

The battle of black-robed man and frenzy Flame Alogo lasted 10 minutes. The Flames Alogo jumped lower and lower. It was no longer kicking around before finally, it walked around while neighed few times.

"What have you done Trevon?" The black-robed man looked into Trevon and his aura pressed on Trevon body.

"Father...." Trevon was pressed by the aura and fell to his knees. You must be as surprised as I did back then, the other young man was not Trevon older brother but his father.

"It was just that I feel the tail of Mr. Alogo is very soft and beautiful. I am thinking of creating an accessory from it. So, I just borrowed a bit from Mr. Alogo. It is not like he can't grow it again in future, but why Mr. Alogo made such a huge fuss?" The face of the 6 men and Cyde turned one shade darker hearing it. They could only think that their young master wanted to make some accessories for those girls in the Eternal Night Pleasure House.

"Go into the second floor and repent! Until we reach Redwood, you are not allowed to step even one foot outside or open any windows or door." The black robed man turned even angrier after hearing the answer.

"Why?"

"You dare to ask why! From Bluestar City to here not including this, you have already made 4 big incidents." The black robed man pointed his finger at Trevon. The six men and Cyde could not even imagine, how the usual cold master of them showed this kind of gesture.

However, the anger wasn't strange considering the distance from Bluestar into Redwood. On the worst day ever, you would only meet 1 problem during the travel. Their young master managed to create 5 problems.

"Which one?" Trevon complained. "..." He started to think.

"Ah... Father must talk about when I overslept on the tree and you need to wait for 6 hours, but that was only 1 mistake that I did."

"Do you forget about Fire Rabbit, Bandit, and Lizardsnake?"

"Those three are not my mistakes. I saw a cute red rabbit that looks similar to my Snow Rabbit and I wanted to pet it. Who knows that it is a baby one and its mother was nearby?" The six men and Cyde turned 1 more shade darker.

Fire Rabbit was a very common type of grassland demon beasts in the country. All information about it were taught to every kid in the primary school. Even non-cultivator kids were taught about it. The only important Fire Rabbit's character was that a Fire Rabbit mother would turn very protective when it raised its bunny. The mother rabbit would call other Fire Rabbits in 1 km regions to protect its bunny. It would turn into a rabbit stampede.

Any kids in the country knew that getting closer to a Fire Rabbit bunny especially the wild one was a big NO. Moreover, the mother was not even a half meter away from the baby. Couldn't their young master see a bigger rabbit near the bunny?

"What do you mean by Bandit? Trevon continued pondering.

"Father must mean those scary looking guys. I thought that they were just gathering and playing and I wanted to join them."

"Playing?" The black-robed man cut Trevon explanation.

"I mean gambling... but we managed to save that kind-faced merchant and get some rewards, right?" This time Trevon trembled a bit. The 6-men and Cyde turned 1 more shade darker. What happened was a robbery. Any common sense would know that calling 30ish scary looking men in the middle of the forest from 500 meters away was a big stupidity.

They agreed that it was a great thing to save another human and even got a big reward from it. It would increase the family's fame. However, if a battle happened between their group and those 30ish bandits some injuries and perhaps death might happen. The worst of all was those 30ish men dyed their right hand with red color. Those red right hand clearly showed that they were the most famous bandit group in the region, the Red Hand Group.

There were numerous low-level cultivators, who joined that bandit group. This made them powerful opponents even to their group. Luckily, they had their family Red Dragon flag on the top of the wagon. The Red Hand still had to give their McArthur family some face.

Almost all travelers in Bluestar, their hometown, talked about the danger of the Red Hand group. As long as one ever visited any winehouses in Bluestar, one would know about the Red Hand group and their notoriety. It was a big wonder because their young master was the number 1 frequent customer in 3 of 5 top winehouses in Bluestar. They could only bitterly sigh.

"About the last Lizardsnake, it's just that I saw a delicious fruit and I wanted to give it to father." Trevon face looked that he felt wronged.

"What is our first family mission creed?"

"Safety First" Trevon answered. This was drilled into his head since he was a kid.

"And you got near the fruit without checking the surroundings? Don't you know 999 out of 1000 spiritual treasures will have a demon beast guarding it." The black-robed man turned even angrier while the six-men and Cyde turned even darker.

The Lizardsnake was the worst problem that Trevon created. Lizardsnake was a Middle Rank 2 demon beast, while the six men were all still at Rank 1 warriors, Body Tempering Stage. It was only Cyde who was a Middle Rank 2 warrior, Spirit Tempering Stage. The problem was that any Rank 2 demons beast was stronger than 2 same Rank warriors. Most demon beasts had a better physical body than human.

It was a common sense that you needed 3 same rank warriors to defeat a demon beast. Without Trevon's father interruption, who was an expert of peak Rank 2 warrior, they must have already queued in King Yama's Palace. 2 of the six men were even injured during the fight to save their young master.

What made the six men and Cyde wondered was how their young master could find the small fruit as big as an orange on the tree from 500 meters away, but he couldn't see 10-meter-long big snake sleeping underneath it.

The worst of the worst, their young master even used the snake's head as a platform for the jump. His jump made it awake. While it was true that the Lizardsnake could detect a human heat as long as any person get too close to it, even during sleeping. Was there any need to jump on its head to make it got even angrier?

Imagine if a thief waking you from your sleep to punching you in your head, before stealing your treasure. Even a saint will be angry by it, and their young master managed to do all of them. Trevon even managed to make the snake even angrier. He somehow managed to step on the snake tail during the jump from the tree. Out of any spot that was available to jump to, why did their young master decide to land on the small tail? It was the part with the most nerve sensors on the Lizardsnake body.

"Your punishment is to stay on the wagon and you could not get out of it even 1 step. If I don't find you inside the wagon when we reach Redwood, I will cut half your allowance." The black robed man swiped his hand and using spiritual energy Trevon was thrown into the second level of the wagon through the open window.

"Aaaaaaaa...!" only Trevon's scream could be heard.

"Young Master Alvaro, you need to control your emotion. Your spiritual energy was injured during the last mission. You should not use your spiritual energy too much. I would suggest Young Master recovering your spiritual energy first. We need you in your peak condition because it is an important mission." The old man Cyde reminded. He bowed and helped the black-robed man to get down the Flame Alogo.

"Do not worry Uncle Cyde! I know my condition. I have meditated during our journey to recover my spiritual energy. As long as I rest for 2 more days, I can recover to perfect conditions. This will not affect the mission." The black-robed man, Alvaro McArthur, jumped from the Alogo. He flipped his hand and from one of his rings, an energy field appeared before it turned into a fruit. He looked into the fruit in his hand. It was the fruit from Trevon. A slight smile appeared on his lips when he saw the fruit.

"Oh, Uncle Cyde, since you are an alchemist, do you know what fruit is this? I have checked the beginner fruit book, but I don't know what fruit this is." Alvaro threw the fruit to Cyde.

With the fruit in his hand, Cyde looked at the fruit closer. "It can't be..." suddenly Cyde exclaimed.

"What fruit is that uncle?"

"I am not 100% sure. I guess this fruit should be Snake Core Fruit. It is a rare spiritual fruit that can help to increase the chance to create a fire element Energy Core. You might want to consider eating it so you can get into Rank 3 Core Gathering Stage easier." Cyde returned the fruit back to Alvaro while pulling the Flame Alogo closer to the wagon.

"Unfortunately, I plan to cultivate a dark core. Fire core is unsuitable for my martial path."

"You should consider it. It is not easy to cultivate a core. Our family has some top fire elemental martial arts, and with this fruit, your chance to reach Rank 3 will increase by almost 40%. This is a type of treasure that can't be sought and can only be found through a lucky encounter. Now you have the chance, you should consider it."

"I am sure of my path Uncle Cyde." Alvaro looked into the Bluestar city direction.

"..." Cyde could only sigh, he knew Alvaro's reason. Alvaro was crazy about a certain dark element martial art.

While the family dark element martial arts were not that powerful, especially compared to the fire arts. One of the dark arts in the family, which required a Rank 3 cultivation, allowed the user to transfer some energy to another person.

Of course, there would be some costs. They were that the user would lose some of their cultivations and the highest level gained would be only Primary Rank 2. For Alvaro, with a non-cultivator wife and useless son, this was a price that he would pay.

The reason, that Trevon was called useless, was because of the disasters that always created by him. Other than that, it was also because of the stagnation of his cultivation. Trevon was a Beginner Rank 1 since he was 8 years old without any improvements. Trevon, who was once also called a genius young master, had turned into a useless kid for the last 7 years.

"At least you can trade it for some family contribution point. You may get some dark element resources from it." Cyde gave his final suggestion. He knew he couldn't change Alvaro's mind.

"Hm..." Alvaro stopped his walk. "Put it in Trevon contribution point! Since he was the one who found it and I am not interested to use it. The point should belong to him. An elder should not compete for the younger generation's treasure. At least my son has the luck to find treasure." Alvaro smiled and continued his path into the Wagon. He had a room in the second floor of the wagon, separated from Trevon. The six men and Cyde stay on the first floor.

If any of the six men heard Alvaro words, they could only talk to themselves about the informal Bluestar city creed. "Never take out your treasure in 500 square meters around Trevon McArthur." This was because the young master Trevon would either show a better treasure, force you to sell at a shameless price, or send people to harass you until he got the treasure.

Cyde repaired the rope between Flame Alogo and the Wagon. Since the troublemaker Trevon was inside the Wagon and couldn't create more troubles, the Wagon managed to continue the journey safely.

1 hour later they arrived at a 10 meters tall gate. It was one of the gates of Redwood City. What trouble would Trevon bring to the city? Only six men and Cyde could imagine.
