26 Chapter 26: One Year Later

One year has passed by as two brown hair girls were waiting for someone in the airport, Sonoko Suzuki asked impatiently.

"Sister, are you really sure that today is his arrival in japan?"

"Yes, look~"

Ayako Suzuki spoke while showing her phone which has the image of a plane ticket that has the date of today, Sonoko nodded as she curiously ask.

"Will he still recognize you?"

"I'm ....sure..."

Ayako hesitated for a moment before answering, because it has been 16 years since they last saw each other. Her feeling remains like a long term distance relationship while for Seiya it was mostly a very short term childhood sweet heart, so unknown to them there will be a bound of crazy conflict. Ayako Suzuki checks the time as she raised her white board which had Seiya's name written on it. They used this method so that Seiya could easily find them, meanwhile Seiya was currently in the VIP area of the airplane as he drank his coffee.

He was contemplating on the time back when he wanted to retired as the Chief of Field Investigation Unit, he said that he was going to Japan. In which Seiya received a lot of invitation from different organization after a day later when he retired, one of them came from the Superintendent General of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, who is the Father of Saguru Hakuba. Superintendent Hakuba wanted to invite Seiya as a consultant for the Criminal Investigation Bureau, he agreed but added a few conditions. One of them is giving him the option to decide when he wants to go to work because he wanted to be a school doctor at Ekoda High School.

Hakuba accepted his conditions as he knew that Seiya is still a medical doctor, beside if he disagreed on this condition. They might become indifference with each other or worse enemy, so agreeing to this condition was the best thing he could have chosen. Seiya took out his suitcase and handbag as he walks out of the airplane and went inside the airport, it took him 20 minutes before he got out of the custom. He smiled as he saw the grown up version Ayako Suzuki and his sister Sonoko Suzuki, he spoke while walking towards them.

"Long time no See, Ayako~ How are you?"

"I miss you~"

Ayako runs forward and hugged Seiya as her hands were wrap around his neck, Sonoko couldn't help but take a photo of it and share it to her best friend, Mouri Ran tomorrow. Seiya could only pat her back as Ayako secretly began sniffing his scent like a dog. He said while slowly removing her hands from his neck as he curiously stared at Sonoko.

"I miss you too, So who is this little sister?"

"Hello, brother in law! I am Ayako's little sister Sonoko Suzuki! You can call me Sonoko chan!"

"Hey, Sonoko!"

Sonoko energetically greeted Seiya which made Ayako smacks Sonoko's shoulder as she complained but her squinted eyes seem to spread out happiness and joy as she heard her sister say this statement. Seiya chuckled as he shook hands with Sonoko and said.

"Well it is my pleasure in meeting you Sonoko-chan."

Although he was wearing gloves, Sonoko could feel his warm yet manly hand which made her secretly rub Seiya's hand. Ayako who seem to have six sense immediately pulled Seiya's hand that shook hand with Sonoko as she said without looking back.

"Sonoko! You can hold Seiya's suitcase!"

"Aneki!!"

Sonoko was displease but she still pulled Seiya's suitcase as she followed them. It was a few weeks ago, when Seiya called Ayako and said that he was going back to Japan. Ayako who was excited immediately invited him to live at their house temporarily except her thoughts was that she wished that he would live with them permanently . She also asked permission from Tomoko who agreed as she also wanted to see Seiya who she only saw a few minutes when he was a child. Inside the black 1999 Lincoln Town Car, Sonoko was the on passenger seat beside the driver while Seiya and Ayako was at the back seat.

Sonoko texted Ran as she showed her the photo of when Ayako was hugging Seiya up close, the message look liked this.

Sonoko: Ran, look at what I saw today!

Sonoko: 'Sent an image of Ayako hugging Seiya while her hands were wrap around his neck while his hand was behind her waist.'

Ran: Your elder sister and...Seiya-san?

Sonoko: Oh you know him?

Ran: Yes, we met one year ago. When Shinchi and I went to New York as Shinichi's mom invited us to watch the golden apple musical performance.

As Sonoko read Ran's description, she began to imagine the heroic and serious expression of Seiya when he was solving the crime meanwhile at the back seat, Seiya acted like he was tired from the jet lag of the travel. His eyes were closed as his breathing was weakened and slow as if he was sleeping, Ayako seeing him look tired felt distress. She then thought of a great idea, she pulled Seiya's head and let his head lay on her thighs as she carefully played with Seiya's hair. Sonoko who heard the movements of the back seat turned her head around and was surprise at the scene, she couldn't help but take another photo and share the dog food to her best friend.

Sonoko: 'Sent an Image of Ayako caressing Seiya's hair as his head was on her thigh.'

Sonoko: Ahh, I feel like a third wheeler.

Ran: They look like a couple!! :O

Sonoko: I know right!! I wonder if Mom knows about this?

Tomoko Suzuki who was in the office of their home sneezes as she muttered.

"I wonder who is saying bad things about me?"

She then move some of the papers away as she pick up a paper that has Seiya's picture and some information that she received from her investigator. She was surprise to see an approved applicant of him being a consultant to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police for the Criminal Investigation Bureau Department, she investigated him because a few years ago she went to Ayako's bedroom and she saw Ayako's scrap book full of Seiya's image that was from international newspaper and photos that Seiya sent through the post office.

Tomoko knew that her daughter was madly in love with Seiya. But there were bad rumors about him being a scumbag and playboy when he became a forensic doctor. But rumors are rumors, she had to see the man in person to determine if what they say is really true. It is also the reason why she avoided and made an excuse to reject the marriage contract that Tetsuharu Tomizawa, the rich Tomizawa Group head had proposed a few months ago. because Yuzo Tomizawa fell in love when he saw Ayako for the first time at the private beach where bot hthe Tomizawa and Suzuki Mansion were neighbors, it was love at first sight for him but for Ayako, he was just one of the inheritor of a financial company.

Seiya didn't know the troubles that appeared after he came back to Japan, the only problem that he knows at this moment was the crazy yet scary emotions that was hidden inside Ayako's squinted eyes. She was slowly rubbing his hair while grinning as she muttered in a mosquito sound volume but he felt like Ayako has turned into Yuno from Mirai Nikki. Sonoko and Tomoko didn't even see or know about this crazy personality that Ayako has as of the moment.

"Ah, Seiya's hair smells so wonderful. I can't wait to sneak into your room...*saliva gulping*"
