Chapter 02

______________

He maintains an almost stoic posture, an apparent calm that camouflages a slight flash of excitement.

His previous life had been lived in a peaceful, modern world, where conflicts were rare and violence was not part of everyday life.

However, the new reality required him to adapt quickly. He understood that if something went wrong, the consequence could be fatal.

And if he chose not to defend himself, he would inevitably be crushed by the ambitions of others.

In this world of brutality, the role of the strong is clear: to survive. It's a cruel and primitive rule, but one that he understands is the only way to persevere.

He remembers this, and this memory acts as a constant reminder of his new condition.

''Grrr~''

The monster's growl fills the air, its breath full of menace. Faced with the beast, he decides not to draw his sword.

It would be dishonorable to use the blade against a creature without reason.

In one swift, precise movement, the monster approaches. The dungeon floor rumbles, and a sharp spike rises up, piercing the creature's belly.

Jol's cold expression remained unchanged as he watched the beast's body shatter into particles.

He heard a mechanical sound inside his head.

+100 Exp!

A Core and a Tail are all that remain, scattered over the cold, damp floor of the dungeon.

The silence, broken only by the echo of his footsteps and the occasional distant grunt of other creatures, seems to weigh on the air.

Jol takes a deep breath, feeling the tension slowly melt away.

The fight is over, but he knows that many challenges still lie ahead, within the dark and dangerous bowels of the dungeon.

Jol has approached the Magic Stone and the Beast Drop Item.

Magic stones are the core of monsters and are usually located in the monster's chest area.

Magic stones hold magical power that can be used for lighting, water filtration, stoves, refrigerators, and other purposes.

If a magic stone is destroyed inside the monster, the monster dies instantly.

Meanwhile, Dropped Items are items that can sometimes remain along with the magic stone after a monster has died.

They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and are therefore traded at high prices.

Having taken the Core and Tail, Jol sighed because he didn't have a bag in which to store his items.

Even though he had a System.

The System wasn't all-powerful with those basic functions like Inventory.

Having an "Inventory" would be of great help in his adventures.

So, with his knowledge of the anime, Jol knew that Dropped Items were worth more than Magic Stones.

He then continues advancing towards his next monster.

Jol focuses his Geokinesis to the maximum, but a barrier seems to block his range, limiting his ability to scan beyond the current floor.

He ponders this limitation briefly before deciding that now is not the time to delve into it.

''It's pointless thinking about it now.'' He mutters to himself, shrugging his shoulders and directing his attention to the next challenge ahead of him.

With calm determination, Jol moves in the direction where he senses the presence of the monsters.

This time, the enemies are different and appear in groups of five.

''Goblins, an excellent opportunity to test my other skills.'' he whispers as he focuses his attention on Hydrokinesis.

The Goblins, chubby green humanoids with bulging eyes, notice Jol's presence and run toward him with surprising speed.

''Gr~''

''Grr~~''

The beasts growl, but Jol doesn't flinch.

With a determined expression, he forms dozens of water arrows in front of him.

The goblins approach quickly.

''Gr~''

''Gr!''

In one fluid movement, Jol arches his hand, and the water arrows shoot out at incredible speed.

The arrows hit the goblins with precision, tearing generous chunks of flesh from their shoulders and ripping open their stomachs.

+100 Exp!

[Level Up!]

The power of the water arrows proves impressive, resulting in instant deaths as soon as they hit the goblins' foreheads and heads.

+100 Exp!

+100 Exp!

The effect is like a classic domino effect!

+100 Exp!

+100 Exp!

[Level Up!]

Their heads exploded into a million pieces and their bodies fell lifeless.

The scene is both impressive and brutal, with the goblins being defeated in rapid succession, their bodies disappearing into particles while leaving behind crystals and other fragments.

Jol observes everything with a mixture of coldness and concentration, already anticipating the challenges that await him in the depths of the dungeon.

Five Magic Stones and two Goblin Fangs!

Jol just collected the Fangs and continued looking for the stairs to the second floor.

Jol finally stopped hunting.

Thinking he'd gotten enough ''Dropped Items'' for dinner and to rent a small room. His pockets were filled with the "Tusks and Tails" of Goblins and Kobolds.

It had been a good hunt.

Then it was finally time to return to the surface.

Inside the Guild.

''Hello again, Miss Eina.'' Jol smiled. ''I'd like to sell the Dropped items.''

''Yes, please put them on the table.'' Eina replied gently.

Jol began to remove the Fangs and Tails as he placed them on the table.

''Lord Jol, didn't you take a bag with you?'' Eina asked.

He shook his head. ''Unfortunately I didn't have any Valis with me to buy one.'' Jol said.

''The Guild provides bags free of charge for new Adventurers.'' Eina said with a giggle.

''Please don't laugh at me.'' Jol says with a smile.

''All right. Eina laughed. Let's see... 8 Goblin Fangs and 5 Kobold Tails... all in all, that's 17k Valis... you are lucky Lord Jol.''

''Aren't there any fees on items, Miss Eina?'' He asked. ''And why lucky?''

''No, only on the Magic Stones.'' Eina replied. ''Here.'' She handed over a bag containing Valis.

''It's common for adventurers not to get even half the Dropped Items you got.'' Eina replied.

Eina also handed Jol a leather pouch.

''Here, Lord Jol, on behalf of the Guild.''

''Thank you.'' He smiled. ''Ah, Miss Eina, where can I find a good place to eat and rest?'' Jol asked with his gentle smile.

''Hm... There's the Hostess of Fertility, their prices can be a bit expensive for novice adventurers but they sell wonderful food.''

''Well, thank you very much, Miss Eina.'' Said Jol as he bowed.

Jol then walked towards the exit with calm, quiet steps.

He displayed a mixture of elegance and nobility as he walked.

Meanwhile.

The moment Jol set foot outside the Guild, the commotion quickly began.

Especially among the girls!

They gathered around Eina and began bombarding her with various questions.

''Kyaa~ ♡.''

''How was it?''

''What does he smell like?

''Do I have a chance with him?

''Eina-San, has Jol-Sama ever joined a Family?''

''If I were a little younger...''

There were all sorts of comments about Jol. It seemed that the girls were starting a fan club for Jol... even though he had no idea about it.

Meanwhile, Eina collapsed with her face all flushed put her hands on her hot face, and shook her head cutely.

On the other hand, Jol arrived at the Hostess of Fertility.

The moment he stepped inside, everything stopped...

1... 2... 3 Seconds passed before one of the Waitresses took action.

Hostess of Fertility: It was owned by Mama Mia, a former level 6 adventurer from the Freya Family.

''How can I help you?'' Ryuu asked timidly.

Ryuu is an elf with sky-blue eyes and green hair, extremely beautiful, with skin as white as snow.

She wears a green maid's outfit with white ruffles, a matching apron, and a pair of brown boots over black leggings.

"Um... I'd like an isolated table and a menu.''

''Yes, come with me, Dear Customer.''

Ryuu guided him to an empty table while all eyes were focused on Jol.

Taking a seat, Ryuu handed him the menu.

Quickly leafing through it, Jol placed his order.

''I'd like a rare steak, a glass of wine, and a slice of lemon tart.'' He asked. ''By the way, I'd like to know if it's possible to rent a room for one night.''

''I'll have to ask my boss.'' Ryuu said.

''Hmm. ''He hummed. ''Please do.''

Resting the Fulgoris Aeternus on his leg, Jol wasn't afraid that someone might try to steal it.

For Fulgoris Aeternus is a living sword and the moment someone other than Jol held it, there would be a certain reaction from the sword.

Watching Ryuu, she was talking to Mama Mia while looking at him.

In a matter of minutes, he order arrived.

It was Ryuu who brought it.

The other waitresses were casting envious glances at Ryuu.

''Here, Dear Customer.''

She then left her order, a rare steak, a glass of wine, and a slice of lemon tart. Without ceremony, Jol began eating the steak, cutting it into perfect pieces.

As soon as Jol put the piece of meat in his mouth, it was so soft that it felt like it was melting in his mouth!

Even while eating, Jol still had a certain elegance, with an upright posture.

This came from being born as an Elf prince, there was no king and queen...

There were only two people with greater authority within Álfheim, Jol the Prince and Tya the Princess.

Both were born from the Laurelin, the Golden Tree of the Elves.

Unlike most Elves who are normally born through childbirth, Jol and Tya were born from a Tree.

That's why they were so special.

In the future, it was set in stone that they would both be King and Queen of Álfheim.

That was also another reason why Jol left Álfheim.

Tya, his fiancée.

Not that Jol had anything against Tya, to tell the truth, Tya was even more beautiful than the Goddesses themselves.

She was someone who had the highest charisma and charm!

The only problem was that she was a little too obsessed with Jol.

Anyway, Jol took a sip from the wine glass and enjoyed the slightly sweet taste.

Sighing, he cut another generous piece of meat.

...

In his new room rented for 500 Valis, and a meal costing 5k - only 11k and 500 Valis remained.

Jol sat on the bed, while a holographic window was in front of him.

To the left of the series was a very rudimentary image of a human body with a total of 13 empty spaces.

There was a single slot allocated to each of the following items: head, torso, cloak, hands, and legs.

There were spaces for 4 rings, 2 on each hand, 2 bracelets, and a necklace.

He could see that everything he was wearing was drawn on the image of the man.

Upon closer inspection, he saw that he could even make out the details of the items.

Then he lay down.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
