17 2-3: The victor

Shaun laid there on the floor, completely lifeless. Gavin had done it! HE HAD FINALLY DONE IT! Sure he would be alone now, but that was fine! He had Navio! Right? "Navio? Where did you go?" No response. Had Navio even been real or was it a representation of his rage? Oh no. NO NO NO NO NO NO HE COULDN'T DIE THERE ALONE NOT LIKE THIS.

He crashed himself against the exit to the cathedral but couldn't break out. He was stuck there to die.

He deserved this didn't he? He had killed his best friend... he sat down and cried. He cried tears of guilt, shame, anger, and sadness. What was he going to do? He had no one now... and he couldn't leave... here was what he was going to do. He grabbed a piece of nearby glass. He took in it's sharpness. He knew what he had to do.

It's what he deserved.

But... he wasn't dying?! Why wasn't he dying?! Something was wrong! He stabbed himself over and over but all he felt was the intense pain of a glass shard stabbing into him?! What was happening?! What sort of twisted end was this?! He spent hours stabbing himself, but nothing was happening. He laid there completely punctured and out of energy.
