He seemed to have gotten halfway through the maze, when the beast started to gain on him. He remembered what Shaun did, call out what it wanted to hear. "I WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU I WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU!" but it kept going, what did he need to do? What was he missing? It didn't matter, he found a good spot to kite the beast, he used it for so long it cried out in rage. It made Gavin's ears bleed as it run out through the maze, that's when he saw it. The end. He gave one final push, but somehow the beast got in front of him.
