2 1-2: Grave mistake

As he closed his eyes, he reopened them and there he was, the world with an endless night. He really had to find a name for it. Around him were pieces of glass with different memories, although he never really saw many good ones. There was a break-up, a fight, and two other girls having some sort of conflict. His alarm would wake him up at around 9ish. He played with the shards for about an hour, hopping through the different worlds. The one with those two girls was quite strange. That's when his friend showed up.

"Uh, why aren't you awake?? Weren't you supposed to be the one that woke me up??"

"Yeah, I have an alarm that should wake me up at any moment! By the way, what is your name, I don't remember that either... sorry." I honestly didn't blame him for being disappointed again.

"Bruh, it's Gavin, also, wasn't your phone at like 5%- wait, oh god oh fuck, you don't think?"

Shaun's eyes widened. Oh no. And he hadn't plugged it in when he left.

"I... I think we're trapped." Gavin's disappointment quickly turned to rage.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! I SAID NOT TO GO TO SLEEP! NOW WERE GOING TO BE STUCK HERE FOREVER UNTIL WE STARVE IN THE REAL WORLD!"

Shaun was about to have a breakdown when he realized something. "Gavin, we've been finding memories of the future, and we can go into them to change them right?"

"I... yeah, why?"

"So what if we go into one and give our past selves a sign to wake us up?" Gavin paused his rant.

"That... could work... but future memories have been hard to come by, we better start looking, we can't waste any time!"

Shaun and Gavin quickly began searching though the glass, hoping to find any sort of fragment from their past. They weren't going to die there, they couldn't, not over some stupid mistake. The clock was ticking, either starve to death or get the hell out.
