1 chapter 1 Warmth in the Darkness

First person (point of view)

" Where am I? why is it so dark. . . "

I open my eyes and saw nothing but darkness, and then as I floated in that Endless Void, I saw someone. She wore all black, a black leather jacket that covers her deathly pale skin, and a black cotton sleeveless shirt that covers her petite figure, and her bottom where covered by blue jeans and black high cut boots. All in all she seems to be a young Gothic lady.

" Hello there Ms. . . I seem to be lost? . . . "

The girl didn't respond to my words, with her own. she only gave me her black lip, white teeth cheerful smile. . . ( well she is lovely I wonder who she is?. . . Wait could be she's. . .she's )

The girl started to giggle as a thought, came into my unfocused mind. As yet again spoke trying to sound calm ( okay. . . Okay you got this dude don't freak out! Stay f*cking calm dammit! Why would you even freak out for? It's not like you woke inside an endless void in which the only thing that exist are you're barely visible body and. . . )

" do you know where I am Ms. . . "

My words where stopped, as the girl placed her cold, yet soft, thin finger on my lips. And even before my mind could make up a complete thought, her lively voice filled the void that surrounded us.

" Its alright honey, you don't need to be afraid. . . "

As she said those words my legs, disappointed there owner. . . But they weren't the only ones how disappointed me I my self started to cry like the child I was.

" Oh no its alright I got you. . . Don't cry. "

Her hands were cold, but the hug was warm. . . As my tears fell with it followed my fears as I hug her back.

" I always knew death, would be this kind. . . "

It's the last thing I said as my consciousness faded, and with it my body followed but before everything fully faded Death, kissed my forehead as she to gave her parting words.

" See you later kid. . . "

Death : " so Game Master, are you gone a keep acting like I can't see you. or Is the great master of Games, show his visage? "

Death called me by one, of my many nick name again. . . (Sigh) she always ruins my flashy entrances.

Me : " hello my dear (slap). "

Death : " hello my ass! What in the endless void! our you doing here. . . You know even if its you! "

As she started one of her little rants again, while flailing her arms, but I stopped her by doing the same thing she once done to me many a time past ago.

Death : " You. . . You can't just. . . Why are always like this? (Sigh) alright tell me why are you here, you do know that you can't interfere. . . wait was That child. . . he was you isn't he. "

As the realization finally struck her. . . She made faces that I would have wish, I could have taken with camera. . . But it didn't last long as she calmed herself.

Death : " so that's the reason for. . . And. . . Hmm. . . You do know I took everything from the boy, he would be slate of no importance what did you give him? "

Me : " oh you know nothing much, just some vague memories of his past, just enough to build a basic form of common sense, and yes a name. . . "

Her arms where crossed as she casually nodded at my words, like it was normal things that a celestial could offer any mortal.

Me : " and of course every instinct and soul memory in every skill or ability that I could have think of, plus some impressively incredible luck. . . "

Her cheerful smile twitched at my last word as she.

Death : " Why are like this. . . You Jerk! "

She yelled and as if the world echoed her words, up until it eventually faded into the void.

Oh and be noted the character death in this chapter is the very much inspired, by the character from dc death one of the endless. I wished I did her character some semblance of justice.
