Ryan hadn't even reached the doorstep when the door suddenly swung open, and a petite figure swiftly darted into the room, rushing straight into Ryan's arms.

The unexpected embrace brought a chuckle to Ryan's lips as he affectionately ruffled Alyce's small head in his arms.

"Ryan big brother, you killed Baron Nevis, didn't you?" Alyce asked eagerly, lifting her head from Ryan's embrace, excitement palpable in her voice.

Ryan grinned knowingly, then jokingly exclaimed with mock panic,"Oh, you've found out! You must promise to keep it a secret for me!"

"Yes! I won't tell anyone!" Alyce replied solemnly, nodding vigorously. She understood the gravity of keeping these matters confidential, knowing they could bring endless trouble to Ryan if revealed.

Amused by Alyce's serious expression, Ryan couldn't help but smile even brighter.
