Six years ago

At the hospital,

"Finally, we're alone at last" Treasure whispered to herself immediately Cassandra left the hospital to look for Carl.

"So, are you ready?" Dexter said to Treasure and she nodded. They were now the only ones in the waiting room.

Treasure was ready to talk about her stalker to Dexter once and for all and hopefully without any interruptions. She no longer felt reluctant to open up to Dexter about her past and the secrets she has been hiding. She only hoped that Dexter wouldn't look at her differently once she shares her past with him.

"You asked me who Shawn Colbert was… well as you already know, he is the maniac that shot your boss. And obviously, the reason he's after your life is because of me. Shawn has been stalking me for a number of years now. He follows me anywhere I go like he has a tiny camera on my body and he never skips a day without sending me a creepy text." Treasure sighed.

"What kind of text?" Dexter asked.

Treasure closed her eyes and started massaging her temple with her forefingers as she thought about the disgusting texts her stalker usually sends her. It irks her a lot to even say it.

"It's okay if you don't wanna talk about it," Dexter said as he noticed the disgusting look on Treasure's face.

"…No! I don't wanna hold back anymore" Treasure said, looking back at him.

"That disgusting freak sends me texts about how good my body is like a sick pervert!" she said in a high-pitched voice with watery eyes.

Dexter placed his right arm around her neck to console her since she was getting emotional. "it's okay" He whispered to her so she could feel better.

Treasure took off her medicated glasses and folded them and kept them in her pocket so she could wipe the tears under her eyes. Thinking about the numerous texts her stalker has been sending her for a long while made her feel her heart squeeze and she broke down in tears.

"Dexter, six years ago when I was fifteen… I… I…" Treasure stuttered, sniffling her nose.

"I… I was raped." She said and a drop of tears rolled down her cheeks.

Dexter who just heard what Treasure had confessed was extremely shocked. His lips were slightly parted and his eyes were darting left and right while gazing intensely into her eyes. He couldn't believe what he just heard.

Treasure saw that Dexter was astonished like he was finding it hard to believe her so she nodded her head in affirmation that what she just said was true and she wasn't kidding. Her face was flushed red as she was silently crying with so much pain in her chest.

Dexter pulled Treasure closer to his chest and hug her tight. While hugging her, he used his hand to gently stroke her back so she could calm down and lessen her anxiety. But, since they were seated, hugging each other was quite uncomfortable for both of them but they cared less.

'That bastard!' Dexter said in his head with a frown on his face. He knew it was the strange man who must've forced himself on Treasure. He was upset and he vowed in his heart that he was going to make Shawn Colbert pay for his crimes.

After a short while, Treasure disengaged from the hug. She expected Dexter to look at her in disgust but he didn't. Rather, he gave her a tight warm hug that made her feel like she wasn't alone. That hug really meant a lot to her.

Dexter wiped the tears from Treasure's face meanwhile, Treasure could see the pain in Dexter's eyes. He was hurt and upset about what Treasure must've gone through all this while. She was a minor Christ's sake.

"It was Shawn, isn't it?" Dexter asked in a low tone and Treasure slowly nodded her head.

"Yes, it was him" she muttered.

"We used to attend the same high school a few years ago. We weren't close at all but he was friends with my brother... One night, Shawn was having a party, and all his friends were invited including me. I didn't wanna go but all my friends were going so I had to go with them because I didn't wanna be left out. I was worried that my friends in school would think of me as a dweeb if I stayed home.

My brother, Kim was against me going to Shawn's party but I refused. I never knew that going to that party would be the biggest mistake of my life," Treasure paused for a while and she wiped her nose

"At the party, when I was with my so-called friends, Shawn approached me and asked me to help him get some drinks in his house. I was naive and I trusted him because he was my brother's friend so I never expected him to take advantage of me that was why I followed him to his room.

I noticed that Shawn was lustfully staring at me in the room and I became very uncomfortable. I felt weird and something in me kept telling me to leave" Treasure was explaining every single detail like it happened yesterday meanwhile, Dexter was paying very close attention to her.

"I listened to my instincts and I decided to leave but Shawn stopped me and I became very frightened. He started taking off his clothes and I got the idea that he trying to do something bad to me. I screamed for help but it was no use because of the loud noise from the party outside. Shawn tried to himself on me and I fought him with every strength I had but it was no use" she said sobbing.

"I… I tried to defend myself but there was nothing I could do. After much struggling, I saw a pen on the ground, and I… I used it to stab him in his left eye,"

Dexter was stunned.

No wonder the strange man always wears an eye patch. His left eye is blind, all thanks to Treasure.

"I didn't mean to hurt him but I had to defend myself" Treasure whimpered.

"Treasure, you didn't do anything wrong. You were only trying to protect yourself from that monster" Dexter said.

"but I still wasn't able to protect myself enough. Despite, stabbing him in his eye, he was still able to overpower me and get his way. I looked through the window and saw my brother who had no idea that I was in trouble. Seeing my brother made me feel a little bit of hope that he was going to save me… I screamed his name with my might but he couldn't hear me.

I called my brother so many times for help but it was no use probably because the windows were locked... I tried my best to run away from Shawn but he still got to where I was and he… he manage to… to"

Treasure cried as she remembered vividly how Shawn Colbert forced himself on her and raped her. It was the most painful thing that has ever happened to Treasure. There was no way she could think about that incident and not cry her heart out. She did not only lose her virginity to that psychopath, but she also lost her confidence and her pride.

Dexter was extremely sad as he heard Treasure's pathetic story. His heart was aching for her and he was clueless about what to say to her. He stood up from his seat and squatted down, facing Treasure and he hugged her again. Treasure hugged Dexter tightly, crying like a baby.

Meanwhile, Dexter felt bothered as he thought of how Treasure managed to keep this burden with her for the past years. He knew it must've taken her a lot of courage for her to open up to him. Also, the way Treasure was crying in his arms made his eyes well up with tears. Treasure was just too young to have experienced such a traumatic incident and she couldn't stop having nightmares because of that.

"I'm sorry," Dexter whispered in her embrace, gently patting her back with his eyes shut.

"One more thing you should know about Shawn Colbert is that he's not just a rapist but he is a psychopath that is capable of killing… He is a murderer!" Treasure said.

"What?" Dexter exclaimed silently, looking at Treasure with a serious expression.

"Yes," she said, nodding her head.

"I used to have a friend named Mason. I liked him a lot and as a matter of fact, he was my best friend. One day, Shawn saw the both of us together and he snapped. He became very violent and the next thing, he killed my best friend right in front of me" she said.

Dexter couldn't even get surprised because, from the experience he had with that maniac, he believed that he was definitely capable of killing.

"Since then, I've always avoided people like I'm a plague. I intentionally detached myself from everyone because I didn't want to put anyone's life in danger until I met you," Treasure said.

"And as I said, you're not alone, you have me. I am never going to leave you I promise you that. And don't you blame yourself for what happened, none of that was your fault. The only person to blame is that lunatic, Shawn Colbert. I guarantee you that that guy is going to get what he deserves for hurting you" Dexter said looking into her beautiful brown eyes without her medicated glasses obstructing them.

Treasure nodded her head with a weak smile. Telling everything that happened to her to Dexter made her feel a lot lighter. She felt like a big rock has finally left her chest. Treasure has been keeping this secret in her heart for the past six years and being able to finally share it with someone who doesn't judge her made her feel better. She felt very happy and lucky to have met a friend like Dexter who still cares about her even after hearing about her past.

Meanwhile, Dexter's phone has been ringing nonstop in his pants pocket but he didn't notice nor feel it because his phone was on silent and his attention was on Treasure. He had no idea that his phone was ringing and it was Audrey calling him, his friend from work.

Presently, it was past 11 o'clock at night and Kim could be seen walking like a drunk man to his house with spaghetti legs. He was completely wasted and was reek of alcohol. As usual, he was coming back from AJ's nightclub. Most of the night, he goes there to party with girls and drink till he gets drunk.

Kim managed to get inside his house and he decided to check on his sister in her room if she was asleep. Although Kim wasn't in his right mind, he wasn't sober at all. He opened Treasure's room door and to his surprise, he couldn't find Treasure in her room.

"Where the fuck are you Tee?" Kim said to himself in a deep voice wondering in his head where Treasure could be by this time of the night.
