Chapter 17.) Floor 4 Raid

"Alright listen up, Tanks and healers shall remain the furthest apart throughout this entire raid. Prioritize healing over defeating the boss, we can always redo the raid but if you die, that's it, you're dead. And remember this is still a game so make sure you have fun....without getting yourself or others killed. Understood?"

"YES SIR!" Everyone screamed

"Good, alright then, let's move it!"

Two Days Earlier:

"Inorin, Vaush just messaged me. He said he'll meet us at the hostel the day after tomorrow in the morning to introduce us to the rest of the raid party."

"It's getting late anyways, you guys should probably go back to your rooms so you can get some rest." Vinni instructs

"I've told you guys all you need to know, now you just need to properly utilize that information."

"Alright, thanks for this Vinni." Inorin exclaims

"No problem and hey remember, you have to regularly let your character rest. Your character's performance largely depends on their condition. The good thing about that though is: no matter how much damage you take, simply resting for a while will heal any and all status ailments. Other than missing limbs of course, you'll have to find a really skilled Medic for that."

"So what about when we log out?" Souei questions

"Oh yeah, if you log out while resting then you'll come back to your character in peak condition after about 20 minutes real time. But be careful to not just log out anywhere. Your body remains in the same spot until you log back in; so you can be harmed if you log out in unsafe territory."

"Wow, that's a lot of information to take in." Souei replied

"Yeah but we got the gist of it, come on, let's go back now." Inorin added

Two days later:

"Alright ready to go?" Inorin asked

"Yeah." They both answered

Inorin, Souei, and Koeda walked out of the hostel and to their surprise, see Vaush standing out front waiting for them.

"Took you long enough! You guys stayed the night here, so how did I end up being the one waiting?"

"We're here now so chill out" Inorin replied

"Yeah sure, whatever, let me introduce you guys to everyone." Vaush said

"Hey, everyone look, the noobs are here!"

"Very funny." Koeda responds sarcastically

"The game just came out, so isn't everyone a noob?" Inorin asks

A scary looking young man with scars all over his face appeared in front of them followed by 9 other people including Vaush's party members.

"Sweet new members!" the young man said

He went from having an intimidating demeanor to smiling and looking very excited.

"The name's Shin and I'm the leader of this rag tag raid party; nice to meet you all."

"You t-too." said Souei while wiping his forehead

He was clearly scared when he first saw the party leader but was relieved now.

"Let me introduce the party."

"These four are our berserkers: Kite, Gyro, James, and Roger. Kite is the vice captain for the raid."

"Sup' noobs!" Kite said while laughing

"Our medics are Haruka and Yuichi. Though it seems Haruka will be a bit late."

"Haruka still new to MMO's and is kind of shy but she isn't a bad player." Shin said

"Next our slayers: Vaush and Me."

"And finally, our Rogue, Illusionist, and Mages are Sysco, Payne, Daisuke, and Ayumi respectively. Though you've already met Sysco and Payne."

"And that's everyone… now it's you guys turn."

"Koeda, I'm a rogue. These two are Inorin and Souei; one rogue and one slayer."

"Hmm interesting group you've got here. You two rogues team with Sysco, the slayer is with me and Vaush."

Now that the introductions were out of the way it was time to move on to the raid. Everyone was already geared up and ready to go.

"Alright let's move out!" Yelled Shin

They departed the hostel for the communications tower to use the teleport portal. That portal will take them directly to the Floor 4 boss for a small fee.

Current Time:

After meeting Haruka at the boss room entrance, everyone charged forward ready to fight, they pushed through a large door and entered a pitch black room.

As soon as the whole party entered, the door shut behind them and the lights came on.

"Tanks to the front!" Shin ordered

Kite and his group quickly placed themselves in front of everyone else.

A dusk cloud formed and began swirling ahead of them, distorting everyone's vision.

In the dusk cloud the raid boss emerged. A 8 meter tall Boss by the name of 'Death God's Arm' towered above them like they were mere ants. The Boss possessed four arms inter-joined with each other.

"Mages cast buffing magic! Vaush prepare to attack! Medics get ready to heal! Payne ready your magic! exclaimed Shin

"Right!" Everyone screamed

"ALRIGHT LETS DO THIS!" screamed Shin

*Behemoth Swing*

Kite charges at the boss with his axe and swung with all his might. But the boss blocked the attack with its two scythes crossed.

"W-What the!"

"The boss can spawn weapons look out!!" screamed Shin

Afterwards the boss spawned two axes now wielding two scythes and two axes. It commenced its attack by swinging each weapon wildly.

"Berserkers guard yourselves! Medics get ready to heal them!"

The boss easily knocked the berserkers over with its attacks and then preceded to attack the slayers. Seeing this caused Shin to smirk excitingly.

"You're mine now!"

*Ultimate shot*

Shin, pulled back on his bow string and called onto Payne.

"Quick Payne, do it!"

*Illusion skill: Redirect*

Shin shot an arrow the size of a log engulfed in a white aura at Payne.

A mirror appeared in front of Payne absorbing the arrow and reappearing from 3 different mirrors surrounding the boss.

One mirror appeared just above his head, dropping an arrow and piercing the boss's head, putting him in a daze.

The other two arrows hit him in the ankles causing him to fall to his knees.

"Quick let's attack while he's down, deal as much damage as possible!"

*Conjuring Magic: Summoning*

Ayumi summons three full grown wolves to attack the boss but they do little to no damage

*Aries Charge*

Vaush attacks the boss with a rush ability that does a pretty decent amount of damage.

*Clean Kill*

With a clean strike, Payne flash steps through one of bosses arms cutting it off entirely. This in turn awakens the dazed boss due to it's excruciating pain.

"I'm ending this!" Gyro shouts

"Wait, stop Gyro something's not right here!" yelled Shin

Gyro completely ignored Shin and charged in for the kill.

"GYYYROOO!" Kite yells
