Prologue

Long before our Universe existed, there was a single being, not capable of advanced thought, strategy, or creativity. All it knew was one thing: destruction. Of course, with nothing to destroy, the Universe created two more beings to create. Those were Demons, and Angels. For billions of years, the three lived together in harmony, however, over time, the being's hunger became insatiable, and as a result, was sealed away between Universes.

Not long after, a war broke out between the Demons and Angels; a fruitless conflict to prove one is superior to the other. In the end, there were no victors, and everything went to life as usual. Well, everything except one Angel, who was tired of the pedestal his race was put on, and killed his own race, including God himself.

Trillions of years later, two children were born to what remained of the Demons and Angels. Together, they defeated the rogue Angel, and ended his reign. However, with him gone, now nothing stands in the way of the original being, the Great Old One, except of course, the two heroes.
