CHAPTER 30

The next day, Shen Tian woke up early as usual and prepared for the day's work. This time, he was anticipating the appearance of the water reservoir and the waste sanitation area.

Upon arriving, at the river side, he immediately saw the water reservoir facility. Seeing that there were no problems with the plants, he went back to the house as his stomach was singing a concerto already. He already decided on making a simple breakfast so he took out a couple of packs of instant noodles.

The three guests woke up just as he was done preparing breakfast so they ate their share appreciatively.

After they were done with their morning routine, Shen Haoran, Li Qingshan, and Mo Jun went out to spar. This was the first time for Shen Tian to see them sparring. More specifically, this is the first time that he's seeing superhumans spar.

Of course, Shen Tian didn't participate considering that his physique is the same as that of a normal person. He won't be able to keep up with these superpowered humans with enhanced abilities so it's better for him to get out of their way.

Instead, he watched the three exchange fists while sitting on the porch and grooming Baobao. He was both fascinated and envious at how fast the three can throw punches as well as their quick reflexes that allow them to avoid everything thrown at them by their opponent.

"Do you want to join us, Shen Tian?" Li Qingshan asked. Amongst him, Shao Haoran, and Mo Jun, he admits that he's the weakest so he was the first one to get tired and declare a time out.

"I'd probably die if I spar with any one of you.", Shen Tian helplessly answered.

Li Qingshan was puzzled.

"Why is that? You're a superhuman so you should be able to withstand a few blows. Sparring can help you grow stronger, you know?"

In his mind, Shen Tian was a strong superpowered human so it shouldn't be a problem to spar with him.

"My powers doesn't include enhanced physique or abilities." Shen Tian scratched his head. "If I say so myself, my safe zone is strong, but my body itself is the same as that of a normal human. I guess that's the trade off."

"I see," Li Qingshan accepted his explanation calmly. "So I guess you won't be able to join us later today? We plan to go out and hunt some zombies for crystal cores."

Shen Tian thought for a while before deciding against it. He weighed the pros and cons. It would indeed be safe to go with these three strong men and get used to killing zombies. He can also earn crystal cores himself. However, his main goal right now is to establish a livable safe zone as soon as possible so whacking zombie heads can come later.

"You, guys, can go ahead without me." Shen Tian smiled. "I may have a project I need to do later. You stay safe."

Shen Tian stayed and watch the three men's sparring session for a bit. It wasn't until he heard a familiar ding that he stood up and went to his bedroom to check the new system message he received.
