41 Were they being kidnapped for real?

On Riley's side

Riley waited for his crazy female crowd to disperse. After that, he muttered under his breath, "Just some annoying flies."

But, he did not hear anything from Sara's side and figured out that she might be upset and so, he began explaining, "You see, when we actors become celebrities, we need fans to rule the industry. These fans will fight for you and support you. So, I cannot just insult them on their faces. I am not as daring as you. Don't be angry. You are understanding, right?"

"En", he heard Sara finally respond, "Where are you?"

"I am here in C province. We are filming here for a new drama series", Riley responded gladly.

"That's okay as long as you are happy. Well, I am sending some of my people to keep guard around your filming site. So, that they can ensure your safety as well as the people around you."

"But- "

"I won't take a 'no' for an answer", Sara bossily cut him off.

Riley pursed his lips into a thin line, before saying, "Fine." He understood that they were not like those typical couples who met every day and stuck to each other for days and nights. He also knew that she was not someone to shower love through hugs and kisses. But, trying to protect him was her way of showing her love for him. So, in the end, he agreed. And, moreover, she did not leave any room for argument either.

"Good", he heard the feisty lady say over the phone.

"Just make sure that they don't scare away the people around here", Riley said mockingly.

"They won't", she chuckled softly.

Riley's handsome face softened when he heard her chuckle. At most, his efforts to make her smile did not go to waste.

"Brother Riley", he heard someone call from behind his back.

He turned to see the crew assistant standing not too far from him.

"The set is ready. We will begin filming now. You are needed there", the crew assistant spoke politely.

"Go ahead. I will be back in any minute", Riley replied with a nod.

Then, he turned to his phone, "I need to go. Missing you already. Bye."

"Bye", Sara responded and hung up. He sighed and followed after the assistant.

The filming was to take place on the grounds of a five-star hotel. For that, the ground floor of the hotel was booked and people were cleared off from nearby.

It was a scene when the first male lead is faced with a dilemma of choosing between his younger brother, the second male lead and his girlfriend, the first female lead. The second male lead would be unwillingly married to the younger sister, the second female lead of the first female lead. The dilemma would be put forward by the younger brother himself because he was rejected by the first female lead and later forced to marry the second female lead. The second female lead, would, however, be in love with the second male lead.

In the scene, since the older brother could possibly choose between the two, the younger brother decides that his brother does not love him and leaves in a jiffy. The older brother chases after him, but, in the process, they both end up being kidnapped while the two female leads get panicked.

Riley and the other male lead, Clive had taken their positions. They were currently arguing while the two female leads watch from the sidelines, helpless and panicked. On the road, a van was seen approaching with another car, which had the cameras fitted to shoot the scene.

Clive, the second male lead, feeling wronged, ran outside as the van approached. Riley chased after him and at last, the van roughly picked them up and shoved them in. The camera shifted to the female leads who try chasing after the van while calling for help. But, they stop abruptly and try contacting the police.

The scene inside the van was not being shot. Riley let out a tired sigh. Then, he said to Clive, "You did great."

"Not better than you", Clive commented back. To which Riley just smiled.

The van was still moving, with no signs of stopping. Realizing that, Clive was the first one to break his silence. The four burly men seating and holding on to them were not letting them go either.

"Hey! Why aren't you stopping the van?" Clive asked, breathlessly, "The cameramen had already stopped. We are supposed to turn back, right?"

Sensing no reply, Riley grew suspicious and tried to look around. They were heading deeper into the wooded road. And also, they could not see the faces of the driver and the people around them, as they had masks.

Both Clive and Riley exchanged glances.

Were they being kidnapped for real?

Before the two of them could probe further, the four burly men tied their hands and covered their eyes.

They were done for!

Both of them struggled furiously and resisted being tied up but they couldn't fight them because they were out of breath after running.

Riley grunted.

"What are you doing?" Clive yelled, "This was not in the script!"

Riley sighed internally when a husky voice came, "We don't work according to your scripts. We work for our boss."

"Who is your boss? You want money, right? We can give that to you. What do you say, Brother Riley?" Clive continued with his provocative words.

Riley really wanted to smack his face. He was certain that these people were not after their money. Rather, he suspected that they had something to do with Sara. He grew tensed. But, the question was not that. Why did they kidnap Clive too? He should be the one being kidnapped, right?

Instead of responding to the guy's foolishness, Riley kept quiet and tried to judge his surroundings. Realizing that he kept quiet, Clive silenced himself.

Riley sighed again. If they were after Sara, he would rather fight them himself than to have her come down for his rescue. After being attacked last night, he was really afraid that something might happen to Sara. For himself, he could care less.
