3 Vance family's past

After wiping the tears from jack's eyes, Skylar started to explain. "Now then, first of all I should tell you where you are! Right now, you are in my territory, the Vance territory located in the south of the kingdom of Khideris there are 3 other territories. The Skaica territory in the north, the Osta territory in the west and the Astye territory in the east. Located in the middle of the territories, is the royal capital.

"Surprise! Mom is actually your real mom. I know that the burly men that were sent to your house were saying I wanted to take you in as replacement for my dead son, but that was to surprise you. Skylar with a face flushed red from trying to not brake down and cry, finally broke down while trying to keep her facade. hiic, I-I can f-finally see my son 17 years a-after losing him. tears of sadness of having lost him and joy of having found him started to roll down her well rounded cheeks.

"sniiif'' ''sniiif'' Skylar was blowing her runny nose that kept dripping from all of her crying. "I'm sorry. How unsightly of me to show myself cry in front of you." she said trying to maintain a smile.

"It's fine mom I cried too so it's fair."

"Yes, but it was way better than me who couldn't stop even after 30 minutes and kept dripping tears mixed with mucus from her nose. Anyway, I should continue explaining from where I left of."

"right I completely forgot about that. But, maybe you should explain to me our family's past. I am quite curious as to know how you could lose me even though you are a duchess." Suddenly, a deep dark aura proceeded to emanate from Skylar's body.

"It was those bastards from the Osta and Skaica family! Before you were born 20 years ago, I was the sole heir of the Vance family, the Vance family wasn't on good terms with the Skaica and Osta family, but it wasn't enough to destroy each other. But, as I was becoming stronger and stronger they started to fear me! One day, one and a half year before you were born, I met your father Jason. He didn't have a family name because he was a commoner and commoner can't have a family name unless it is given by the king himself. I was on the street of our territory, walking around checking markets enjoying myself when I saw him selling various items. When I saw him, it was love at first sight. I was so in love that I don't even remember what items that he was selling. The only thing that I remember is taking him directly to an inn, and took his first time."

"Mom is quite the assertive women heh. " Jack said with a slight grin.

"ahem! Don't interrupt me in the middle. anyway, after that night I tried to convince my father to let him in the family, but to my surprise he accepted him without me needing to try. In just five months before knowing each other we were already married. You could say I was too much in love and that was the problem. After you were born, I was resolved to let you grow in peace and so, I started to meditate to grow even stronger than before."

Jack raised his hand.

"Yes, Sweetheart?"

"What's meditation?"

Oh right! I completely forgot that you weren't educated and thus do not know how to meditate! Meditation is where you sit crossed legged, in a place where it is preferably silent and try to take mana in the surrounding air in the body. When in the body, to assimilate the mana you need to move it to you heart. Once the required amount of mana is reached a circle is formed. The amount of circles achieved by humans is the 10th circles. It was attained by Richard Khideris at the age of 320 years. He was the creator of this kingdom.

"And what circles are you at mom?"

With a proud look on her face, she said. "I am at the 8th circle the same amount as the current king!"

Contrary to the admiring look she thought Jack would have, he looked rather sad." Here I am at 18 years of age and I have no circles formed."

"Don't worry! Mom will help you get stronger and will train you, but now I will continue my story."

"All right." Jack's expression slightly got better.

"Now, after 8 months of constant meditation and disregarding your father I was finally able to brake trough the 7th circle. But meanwhile, your father without any allowance got a rather tempting offer from the Osta and Skaica territory that had formed an alliance to destroy me and the family which was growing too strong for them. Alas, that moneygrubber took the offer and betrayed me for money! So once I was breaking trough the 7th circles which made me vulnerable, because you can't move and can't be disturb once you start your break trough. That sneaky bastard made his move! First he tried to enter the isolated room I was in to meditate to kill me, but he couldn't open the massive door made of 5 tons of titanium that by the way can only be open by the key that I had on me. Instead, he decided too lead the men that both territories had lent him to massacre my men and kidnapped you.

"I see". He said with a gloomy look. 'So even in this world I can't have a whole family for myself?' "But, why wasn't I dead, or in one of the territories being tortured?"

"that, I do not know, because when I left the isolation room you were already gone and half of my men were dead. Afterwards I never heard of your father again and not any of the two territories threatened me with you in bargain.

Stoping abruptly the story, Jack started loudly coughing. "Cough! Cough!" Jack put his hand in front of his mouth and saw blood. 'W-what? Blood? What's happening? Status window!'
