Daphne was still shocked by her sudden disappearance, and she looked around, wondering where he had gone. He had teleported away again, but she did not know where.

Calanthe also stared at the empty space where Lucifer had just stood for a few seconds before looking away, continuing to pack up her medical equipment.

She put the things away neatly one by one, taking her time. Daphne watched her, not saying anything or rushing her. The rain had suddenly gotten heavier and lightning and thunder had joined the party in the sky.

After she had finished putting everything away, Calanthe stood up, not leaving yet. She looked at Daphne, asking, "What happened?"

Daphne looked at her, hesitant to tell her. Lucifer had not told her, but it only seemed right for her to know as she had treated Lucifer's wound, "We were attacked by witches."
