12 Tang Xu

"Hey can I buy thing young slave here?"

Ying Yue shouted towards what looked like the stand's attendant.

"You have a good eye sir. This young man was sold to us fairly recently. It is a pity that the way he looks at costumers frightens then so you are the first one to make an offer. He is a pretty intelligent fellow and will be sure to help you out in business. You can ave him for merely 7 gold."

7 gold was actually a lot for an mostly unwanted slave and Ying Yue had happened to have spent 3 gold and 20 silver on all the herbs leaving her with only enough to be able to buy the young slave with the money she had left from her uncle. However she decided it was worth it. She did not want to seem poor in front of others, instead she wanted her new identity to be more of a poor guy gone rich.

"I'll take him."

Ying Yue handed the gold over to the stand attendant and the he accepted it gracefully.

"Hold on a moment, young sir. Let me help you with the transferring contract."

The stand attendant went into the back and took out a piece a paper. After adding a couple more details to it he went beck to where Ying Yue were standing.

"Young sir please drop a drop of blood on this piece of paper and the contract will be complete."

Ying Yue did as the attendant said and cut her finger to drop a drop of blood onto the contract. The contract lit up for a couple of seconds and the transfer was complete. The stand attendant handed the contract to Ying Yue and said with a glee.

"Thanks for your business, young sir."

The stand attendant then walked away to try to catch other potential costumers. Ying Yue looked down on the young man now sitting in front of her.

"Hey."

The man just started back at her without even moving a muscle.

"I said hey."

The man continued to stare back at her but this time he opened his mouth to reply.

"What..."

"Good that you are not deaf nor mute. Now come with me. We are going home."

Because of the contract anything that was an order could not be opposed so the man reluctantly stood up and followed Ying Yue back to Uncle Feng Dai's place. When they reached the main entrance they were met with one of the servants of the mansion. Most of the time the servants in Uncle Feng Dai's mansion were not to be seen. Feng Dai only had them to help him with cleaning and making meals but he preferred them staying away from sight. Although that was the case the servants still lived a life of luxury for being servants. as long as they were not seen and handled their work well they would get a good salary and be free to do whatever they wanted in their pass time.

"Welcome home young master."

The servant said then quickly tried to get out of sight.

"Wait."

Ying Yue hurriedly said before the servant disappeared. The servant stopped in her tracks and looked towards Ying Yue.

"Please prepare a bath and some clothes for this young man. You can put the clothes in my bedroom for now."

The servant threw a quick look at the young man that Ying Yue had bought from the slave market before she quickly ran out of sight.

"Will do."

With that Ying Yue escorted her slave to the living room and pointed at the sofa.

"Sit down."

She said and the young man went to the sofa and sat down. Ying Yue sat down in the sofa opposite to her slave.

"Now I do not know what your origin is. I honestly do not care. What I need is someone I can trust and I hope that you will learn to trust me as well."

"How can you expect me to trust you when you bought me and you are now my master by contact. To me you are nothing better than the bastards who destroyed my family and made me a slave in the first place."

"What if I told you that I want to help you? You were poisoned, right? That is what reduced you to your current state. Don't worry I have the ingredients and am able to make the antidote. In exchange for curing you of the poison I hope you can help me with a couple things. I will also cancel the slave contract. We can only truly trust each other if we are not bound by a slave and master contact. However if you want I can write a employment contract for you. I can also protect you and give you enough resources to recover and advance further in cultivation that you did previously. You can chose to take revenge by yourself once you are strong enough. But remember if you betray me I will be forced to let you go. Don't blame me for what happens next then."

The young man looked at Ying Yue bewildered. He wasn't sure of how she could tell his current situation so well.

"How did you know I was poisoned? No one before noticed until now. When did you notice it? I will give you a chance and believe what you say about being able to cure me, or at least I believe you will make an attempt to cure me without harming me. On the way here I noticed you smell like herbs and medicine, you clearly know your ways with that. I got no choice but to accept your offer. As long as you don't ask me to do something unreasonable I can only see benefits in your offerso why should I refuse? If you can cure me and get rid of the contract I will trust you for life as my savior!"

This young slave was clearly very intelligent just like what his eyes had shown the first time Ying Yue saw him. He had properly analyzed the situation and the pros and cons of believing and trusting Ying Yue. Including the benefits he would receive from doing so was something he could see based of how she acted.

"To be honest I noticed it when I first saw you at the market place. Also when I saw your eyes I knew that you would be of great help to me and wouldn't be able to refuse my offer. Now that you have accepted it is time to tell you who I am. In this form I am Yun Che, the disciple of Jiang Feng Dai."

Ying Yue stand up and reveals her true self to the young man before her.

"My real name is Ying Yue, Jiang Ying Yue, the only daughter of the Jiang family. I would prefer you keep this a secret. Now, who are you?"

The young man was stunned by her sudden transformation but quickly got himself back together when he heard that she wanted him to introduce himself.

"My name is Jie Tang Xu, second son of the Jie family."
