Hatred and strife

"Where have you been? And why are you looking like that. Don't tell me you're still thinking about that issue" Xinyi gasped as she talked, her eyes were filled with tears and regrets

"If I only I can go back to the past. If only I didn't stay back here. I'm sorry...I should have just stayed back. Now our daughter is faced with a bad fate."

She continued to cry and kept regretting all she did.

"My dear, what are you saying. Those people are monsters they wanted to kill you. Only running away from there that could've saved your life and I'm happy you made the right decision."

Xinyi just kept on crying and remembering the past. Thousands of years ago, the people from the pheonix clan were considered traitors in Acadia and the then leader of the pheonix clan plotted against the other clans in Acadia which resulted to which all other sects in Acadia plotting to kill everyone of them. During the chase, Xinyi ran in fear of being killed until she reached the creek and with no other place to go to jumped into the magical fire around the creek but was luckily saved by the prince (Toso). It was really a surprise that she didn't die in the eternal fire that was on the creek dividing both sides. And the very reason was because she had the Phoenix blood flowing through her veins.

"It's okay, just don't cry again. We'll figure out a way to help her practice her powers and make her choose right." Toso said while trying to comfort his wife.

Xinyi gasped and shook her head dejectedly. She couldn't believe her husband would do that much for their child.

"No. There's no way I'll allow you to do that. When the people find out you'll be tagged a traitor. I can't let that w." I'm sorry. Xinyi continued crying bitterly

"I'll do everything for you and our child, just stop crying." Toso said sadly while trying to control the tears in his eyes falling out.

In the deserted part of Chenghan district. There was a detached house standing in the middle of the deserted area. Around the house were ruined houses and dirty things. Even the people living there were a handful.

A shabbily dressed man suddenly ran into the detached house gasping for air and knelt in front of a woman also shabbily dressed but still has an arrogant aura around her.

"Speak" the woman said with arrogance in her voice

"My queen, the King's wife put to bed days ago. But they kept the matter hidden for a matter no one is really sure about."

The woman became red with anger and slammed her hands on the table.

"No....there is no way I'll let you win this time Xinyi. There is no way you'll have Toso all by yourself forever. Why are you always so damn lucky. Why?" Su Jin said with tears in her voice.

Su Jin squeezed her hands so hard that her fingers dugged into them as she thought of Xinyi with her eyes filled with bloodlust and her heart shook with hatred and strife.
