2 Chapter 1: Battle

Born with a damaged soul his father ravaged the world looking for a cure, in his search he became the world know scientist with the title of Alchemist.

His research on the soul won him many Nobel prizes but he refused to acknowledge them though he helped many the main focus of his attention was his son. Though his father had wealth Tony was never a silk pant and always devoted most of his time in his studies or training his body and occasionally he would help his father with the experiments, and due to all this, his train of thoughts had already matured past his peers.

Although he had a damaged soul and his body was weak his knowledge was vast and this was mainly due to his father's miraculous potions and the mysterious ancient sea scripture, that had strengthened his spiritual force from childhood. Thus his ability to grasp thing was much faster than normal people and was named the crippled genius by his elders.

The soul was one of the most complex things to mend even an immortal would have trouble healing such injuries. Burning the midnight oil his soul fire raged on the alchemical furnace (trees with)a 100-year-old maca, 500-year-old Guayusa soul stealing herb, 1000-year-old Eeleutheros, 10,000-year-old Brahmi, this was all rear herbs and were difficult to obtain, as the flames raged the concoction started to draw in moonlight, inside the furnace the boiling medicinal herbs started to turn silver as their essence was drawn out with the support of the moonlight and the raging storm inside started to calm down.

The initial preparation of Umbra's moon potion is complete now only my essence is needed.

He looked up to the sky as a tear rolled down his cheek, hesitation flashed on his face but he instantly buried it and firmed his resolve.

Umbra was an ancient potion and its history was unknown, using one's own life essence to enhance and mend the soul removing all impurities. Brenan had only received a fragment of this potions recipe and throughout the years he had spent all his time researching this recipe and in time came out with a new version of it which used the moonlight essence.

Even when the potion was modified a price still had to be paid though not as hefty as the original that would require one to sacrifice three-quarters of his life force, the modified potion only brought it to half, with his age after the potion was finished he would only have a month's time to leave in this plane.

Blood drops dripped into the potion containing his life, as soon as the two made contact space cracked and essence began to converge inside the jade bottle

Day turned into night as thunderous clouds converged into the skies covering a span of 450 000 mu (300km if am not wrong) Its oppressive might shattered the high-grade formations that were initially set a Divine tribulation was descending and its aim was not the pill but the one who forged it

Hahaha old Li so this is where you came to hide an old man emerged from the dark clouds his aura was suffocating and his spiky white hair with traces of lightening lingering on his body made him look like a god that had descended, his eyes looked directly at Brenan

Rain lightening the white old man said

Rainbow coloured lightning was again shot towards Brenan this time its might more superior than the last even space cracked whenever it passed its might clearly visible the expression on Brenan's face turned ashen

All the commotion going on outside had awoken everyone in the sect as they went out they could see the old alchemist who treated their wounds blood socked with a cauldron by his side emitting powerful ripples

At that moment it was like a thousand needles had pierced their hearts straight into their soul

Brenan had treated them all and their children when all the physician turned them away he had given them hope and rejected no one furthermore he never asked for repayment and served all the people with his heart, though at times others felt jealous of how he treated tony he was after all his son

Lightning and cauldron went toe to toe but the old man started getting the upper hand but what he didn't notice was that the cauldron was continuously absorbing the divine lightening of the old man though some of it struck Brenan it was continuously sapping his energy

Chen Hai why are you going this far when we already conceded Brenan looked down a bitter expression on his face

I should have killed you back then

Li Bai your clan should never have provoked us with you dead we don't have to fear a counter attack

His diminishing strength flared up black lightening descended in an utterly overbearing fashion this was the Chen clans famous lightening wind annihilation technique as it descended it colluded with the cauldron 85% percent of the attack was absorbed while the remaining struck Brenan sending him crashing into the sects building as he stood up both his arms were broken one of his leg burnet to ashes his strength was completely exhausted

seeing him all bitten up a spark of rage was ignited as all of them released their profound strength although most of them were in the spirit realm there were two or three in the earth realm and all of them sent their profound energy to aid him this must be known that healers sect had more than 3000 so all the energy they were sending was enormous but only 3% of his energy had been restored

Tony was standing next to his father as he had been awakened by the crash his face ashen and full of questions, he had been cultivating the sea scripture which cut his connection with the world to further enhance his soul as this was his daily routine, once he woke up he saw his father crashing in and thereafter an enormous amount of profound energy pouring into him but even after all that energy intake he still looked pale

Before he could even say a word a small cosmo Bag was thrown into his hand, a smile appeared on his fatherly face as he charged forward with renewed vigour

Old Chen this time you will die for good

He used a movement technique directly appearing behind him and locked his body with him he was planning to detonate his dantian

When Old Chen noticed this very tiny sparks of black lightning ignited on his fingers and shot towards Tony

I will not die alone Li bai I will take your family with me

Chen Hai said his face fool of satisfaction noticing this he ordered the cauldron to protect Tony since the detonation could not be stopped or prolonged though this was possible he knew that if he delayed any longer then his family would truly perish

BoooM Boom BooM a heaven-defying exposition occurred even breaking the laws of space and timed drizzling rain powered down and sunlight shone for a few minutes creating a breathtaking phenomenal

A special tear appeared sucking in the aftermath of the battle, in an instant nothing was left almost as if a battle never happened and the sky returned to normal Deathly Silence prevailed.
