Empyrean Chronicles

The Empyrean Humans. The Paragon Beasts. The Ancient Faes. The Primal Devils. Each were the Embodiment and Personification of the Four Origin Ordinances. Each wielded power beyond the scope of the Heavens. And each, commanded a portion of the only Founding Realm in all Existence. Now then, what happens when these four overpowered Races decide to house their Bloodlines inside one vessel? It was... a resounding failure. Discarded and thrown into a Lower Realm, it would seem as though Osric, the result of a failed experiment, with no memory of anything prior, would be swept under the tides of the Martial Verse, never to be heard again, until... Until he Awakened. *** Cover is not mine. Found it on Google.

Second

The words of the Infernal King was a spur that prodded the rest into action. Immediately after he spoke, the Sprite King came next.

"On behalf of all Sprites, I, Avery Xander, the King of the Spiritual Plane, congratulate the Fahren Clan on the birth of a heavenly genius."

The voice of the Sprite King was light and airy, invoking a sense of peace in one. It carried no oddity whatsoever and seems to be just his normal tone.

However, those especially sharp here picked up the absence of the usual arrogance that had been ingrained in his being. It appeared the Sprite King knew humility in the face of absolute strength.

"My Blackcloud Family congratulate the Fahren Clan…"

"My Blissful Heart Sect congratulate the…"

"My Nocturnae Clan congratulate…"

"The Night…"

"The…"

One after the other, the powerhouses here all stood up to congratulate the Fahren Clan. It was unknown if this was out of respect or fear, however, the hard to conceal solemnity laced beneath their voice couldn't be denied.

Osric was smart, indeed. But could he compare to the old monsters who had lived for billions of years? It could be said that anyone who could live for that long was definitely not a fool.

And there was the fact they were cultivators with cultivations well into the Divine realm. Hence, their minds ran a thousand, a million, a billion, a trillion times faster than Osric's.

As such, they understood the weighty significance of the Ancestor's words long before Osric could even come to a realization. If with incomplete Bloodlines alone, the Fahren Clan could already warp the Dark Edge Realm to their whims. Then, what would possibly happen when the complete Bloodline comes into fray? The Dark Edge Realm moves in the direction they saw fit.

If before, they believed the combined might of the whole Realm could pose a threat to the Fahren Clan, now, with the Awakening of Seina, it would become nothing more than child's play if she was left to grow.

The Sprite King understood this. The Infernal King understood this. Everyone understood this, but what could they do? The death of the Shadow Blade Ancestor had really sent a message to them. A message they couldn't ignore.

"Hm."

To the compliments of these lot, the Fahren Clan Ancestor only nodded, indifference framing his expression. He felt it beneath him to grace them with his presence. Infact, were it not for Seina being his great-granddaughter, he wouldn't deign to step out.

She was talented, immensely so, and would probably be countless times stronger than him when she reached his current cultivation realm. However, this wasn't a talent their Clan hadn't beget before. Infact, the dead Patriarch also awakened to Divine Grade Talents. The only difference between them was that Seina awakened to the complete Bloodline, while the Patriarch did not.

Hence, he didn't think it deserved such a fanfare.

That aside, his gaze suddenly shifted towards said talent. The Heavens' Blessing had long since vanished, soaked into Seina's entire existence. However, the subtle aura that radiated from her body made all realize that, at that very moment, Seina had gone from being a Mortal with no cultivation to the late stages of the Nascent realm in one fluid step!

This was a perk that came with the Heavens' Blessing. The residual Heavens' Blessing of a Fleeting Awakening would only aid one to the early stage of the Nascent realm, while that of a True Awakening will push one's cultivation to the very peak of the early stages.

As for that of a Fierce Awakening, a cultivator will see their cultivation increased to the middle stage, while that of a Perfect Awakening, however, wouldn't stop until one reached the late stages!

Furthermore, due to the pure nature of the Heavens' Blessing, it made it so that there were no imperfections in their foundations, at least, to the stage it aided them to.

It could be said at that moment, Seina had attained what one with Normal and Black Grade Talents would struggle to achieve in years, in mere seconds.

The difference in Talents Grades wasn't just for show.

Just then, Seina's eyes snapped open, her gaze flaring an intense light for a moment before vanishing, revealing a pair of radiant golden irises.

If before, Seina was already beautiful, now she had gone from beautiful to otherworldly. Her white hair sparkled like stars, matching gracefully with her eyes that shone like the light of the Ether Sun.

Seina was tall for her age, reaching 5.8 feet. Now, however, she gained several inches more, standing at an impressive 6.1, making it so that she stood nearly as tall Osric, who was 6.3 feet tall. An astounding height for someone his age.

Her womanly pride gained several pounds of flesh, straining the already tight dress she donned.

"Little Seina. Quickly, come over here. Let me take you home."

Upon hearing the familiar voice of her great-grandfather floating just few feet above her, Seina's eyes lit up.

Unlike most Sects or Clans whose Ancestors act like existences who were disconnected from the world, the Fahren Clan, however, were different. They made it possible for their descendants to be aware of who their Ancestors were.

Seina gingerly walked towards the Ancestor, a smile tugging at her lips, as she opened her mouth to speak.

"I will, old man. But, can you give me a moment?"

Seina didn't wait for the Ancestor's approval before she turned to walk off. A wry smile played the worn face of the old man as he watched her.

'This little lass…'

However, a moment later, it turned into the usual indifference. Only his family members could have the opportunity to see his smile. As for those unrelated, they weren't worthy.

"So, how did I do?" Seina asked almost immediately she stepped into the chamber, a proud smile playing her perfect features.

Osric, who was seated on his chair, chuckled softly. He dropped his second cup of Nocturnal Tea before turning to face the approaching Seina.

"I must say, that was unexpected. I was shocked speechless." Ron said, a faint smile stretching his lips. However, he continued. "And you look more beautiful,"

To this, Seina's smile became pronounced. She had expected this. Osric was never one to restrain his compliments for what and those he founds pleasing. It could said this was one of the reasons she liked him.

"Right,"

"So, how do you feel right now?"

Seina clenched her fist, an invisible strand of Qi coating it as she answered.

"I feel more powerful. Feel healthier. Feel full. Than ever."

"Excellent. Once again, congratulations on your awakening."

"Thanks."

An awkward silence descended, but it wasn't long before Seina spoke up.

"I should get going. I wouldn't want the old man complaining,"

"Right." Osric answered, his face still containing faint traces of his smile. "Go. It's your time to shine."

Seina turned to leave, taking few steps before she stopped. Osric was still wondering the reason for this, before his eyes flew wide from her next statements.

"I know what decision you have taken. So go, show those weaklings your might,"

With that, she walked off. Osric's eyes was still wide. However, the next moment, he couldn't help but smile. It was quite laughable that he had been able to make a talented Divine like Elder Adrian slightly unable to read him. Yet, before Seina, it felt as though he was an open book.

He sipped from his cup before he looked out through the window wall to see the Ancestor aiding Seina out of the Awakening Coliseum. He could see the Ancestor glaring at him as though he was but a commoner unworthy of the hands of a princess. And that couldn't help but draw a chuckle out of him.

Except the time they seized his things, it seems the Fahren Clan was not as bad as he thought, or perhaps couldn't be bothered to care about him. It appeared the aforementioned time was just the handiwork of some envious wretches. After all, no matter how good a Clan or Sect is, there were bound to be some imperfections.

Soon though, Osric's attention got drawn away from his thoughts. The skies were rumbling yet again. He stood up to walk towards the window wall and what he beheld made his pupils constrict into pinholes.

Down below, Conrad stood with a smug smile. High above, the clouds rumbled and groaned.

A second Perfect Awakening was descending!
