4 Causing trouble
Kate took a shower when she reached home and was about to relax when she got a call from the hospital. She ignored the first call and the second and the third one too but she was irritated the fourth time but talked calmly "What happened?"
There were loud noises on the other side of the phone "Albert was attacked by some people and they are creating a chaos to meet the doctor who treated him."
She was quiet for a moment and then said "Okay, ask them to wait, I will be there in half an hour."
She was tired and needed a break but now the problem was she could never say no to people who asked for help sincerely so she took a deep breath, got up from the bed and got dressed before leaving and she was there in half an hour as she promised. As she entered the hospital, she saw everything was messed up and these people pointed guns at the staff and ordered them not to move. She moved in confidently and spoke in a stern voice "What is this going on, this a hospital not a place for your childish behavior, GET OUT."
Everyone looked at her in disbelief, was she not afraid of guns, how was she so bold. For a few seconds men holding the guns were also shaken by her tone but then a person laughed and said "You won't be able to say that once our boss is here." he took out his phone and dialed a number but before he could speak Kate snatched his phone and shouted at the person on the other side "How dare you try to create a chaos at a hospital, quickly come here or all your men will be admitted as patients here."
Silence spread across the room, she did not give a chance to the other person to speak and cut the phone and threw it towards the man, he got up and pointed a gun at her "How dare you speak to the boss like that."
She looked at him with a murderous look which scared him enough to take a step back then she took a step towards him and held his hand in which he was holding a gun and rotated it badly that he dropped his gun, she picked it up and pointed at him "Do you think I am afraid of this then sir you are highly mistaken, we use even sharper instruments in OT and these things don't scare me. Ask them to drop their guns and move to one side or I will shoot you."
He did as she said then she asked the staff to get back to work. As they were about to rush back, she heard the sounds of someone clapping behind her. She turned to look at the person when he spoke "You are even more amazing than I had imagined that you dare to scare my people and talk rudely to me."
She looked at him with a smile "Who do you think you are."
"Do you really want to know." he asked stepping closer to her.
"She pushed him hard that he fell to the ground, she bend on her knee and moved her head closer to him "Don't you dare create trouble at hospital and I really don't care who you are."
He held her by her waist and rolled over that he was now above her "I am the son of the underworld Don Kelvin so you must know my name is Jude."
She kicked him hard now that she was angered by that particular name and got up to her feet "Don't you dare touch me again."
He was not going to give up easily and held her close to her neck "Why did you save Albert?"
She looked suspiciously "What do you mean, it is my duty to save all the patients."
"We can't let him live, he knows a lot about us."
Kate laughed "I don't care what you do outside this hospital but inside I will not let any of my patients die. Dare to challenge me and you are as good as dead." she said freeing herself from his grip and her eyes were bright with hope that Albert knew about him.
Jude lowered his head and laughed then he attacked Kate which was easily defended by her. They both fought for next 10 minutes but no one was defeated because both were equally strong. At the end both were panting heavily when they decided to stop, they were bruised but no one was injured. They started at each other when Kate finally spoke "Don't you dare touch Albert until he is here." but she had to protect him anyhow because he could be useful to her for a lot of things.
Jude laughed "You are quite strong that makes me even more interested in you and I will wait for him over here until he is discharged and you have nothing to do with him." then he stepped closer and whispered in her ear "Moreover I can see your pretty and strong face everyday."
Kate's heartbeat raced but she turned around and left to meet Albert. Jude gave a cunning smile and said to his closest subordinate "I like this fierce girl and take care no one else can have her now because I have my eyes on her."
He was shocked "but boss you were never interested in girls, how can you like someone."
"I don't like the girls who are not independent and cry a lot but she has pierced my heart the moment she spoke on the phone." he came back to his original self as he realized something on the mention of the phone.
He turned towards his men and with a scary look "How can you be so easily scared without fighting back, we have a reputation which can go down the vain because of your behavior."
All the men lowered their head in apology when he softened his voice but ruthlessly spoke "Be careful or you will be thrown out.
He looked in other direction where Kate was coming their way and he smiled, Kate's heart fluttered but she regained herself as she walked up to them "This is a hospital, if you want to stay only 3 people can be here, others have to leave and you have to maintain the peaceful and silent environment of the hospital."
They agreed and soon all the men left, she was about to go back to Albert's room when Jude held her hand, no one was around them at that moment, he pulled her and pinned her to the wall "You have attracted me and gained all my attention Be my girlfriend."
Kate heart raced but she pushed him back "Are you crazy."
He leaned forward and before Kate could process anything a kiss landed on her lips, she wanted to push him so bad but all her energy was drained out all of a sudden and she was unable to resist the kiss, after a long time she brought herself to push him away and without giving him a second look she darted towards the lift.
Jude smiled as he talked to himself 'Now you are mine girl and no one can take you away from me.'
Kate talked to herself all the way up in the lift as she was alone 'Kate you have to stop and you can't fall for a criminal, moreover the person whose dad killed your dad. You have to stop he is a murderer, killer, you can never fall for him.
She made a firm decision and scolded herself all the way until she reached Albert's room.
She went in and saw Albert reading a book "Hello Albert."
Hello Dr. Kate, you are amazing. I heard about your fight today and thank you for saving my life again."
Kate smiled "It was my duty that I had to fulfill as a doctor."
"You did more than a doctor does, thank you so much."
"It's okay and you are welcome."
They both smiled and while Kate checked on his condition she asked "Why are they after you?"
"He does not know much about his father but I have collected a lot of dirt on him and now he wants to kill meal he has send his son."
"Have you ever seen him."
"No, but I am quiet close."
"I am sorry but if you don't mind can you tell me the details."
"Sorry Dr. Kate but it is a secretive information that I can not tell you."
"Oh I understand. They are waiting outside to kill you so I will discharge you whenever you are ready to fight, so let me know." saying this she turned to leave when Albert spoke
"Dr. Kate the way you fight, your interest in knowing about the Don, I am sure you are not just a Doctor. Who are you?"
Kate turned around with a smile "Of course I am a doctor what else could I be."
"I can be of some help to you if you answer truly."
Kate smiled at him and left the room.
